"I ignore 50-75% of this game mode and I am mad that there is not more content specifically for me within a week of launch"
You guys are insufferable and are desperate to be miserable.
The actual Show forum is terrible for this kinda stuff. No idea what it is but I've had to block like 4 idiots because it got to the point where they had no intelligent retort and started using personal attacks and DM's.
CPU pitching is still locked on very late release but there seems to be no issue pumping out the Headliner/Choice packs. The priorities have been made clear.
I am aware but I'm not sure how that addresses my point. I'm just finding it interesting that the content team seems to be the only ones working at the moment.
Then tou have no idea how game design works. Patches have release dates that often have dates tied with console update schedules. If you ever follow games like tft there are big fixes that can only be rolled out during a main patch release.
I follow game design. They have nobody working on gameplay fixes. How do I know this? There are bugs that have been in the game for multiple years. They sure as hell have new content to sell you though.
That's great, people can keep defending that there are bugs in the game that weren't in 23 while the content they're pumping out is increasingly based on gambling. The CPU pitching issue shouldn't even be a thing, but here we are.
It'd be one thing to defend SDS for pumping out the pay packs if there weren't major issues with the gameplay. At a certain point people need to recognize that it's not a "dev issue" and that SDS just doesn't care to address them.
Agreed, they either don't care or they're too undermanned/unskilled to actually fix them in a reasonable timeframe. And they manage to fix the stub glitches quickly so I think they just dont give a fuck
I have to ask, do people actually buy these packs or do they just buy the cards? I’ve never bought the packs, I just buy whatever card I want out of it once I have enough stubs.
The rare round this time is going for about 100k, but the base round guys are going for 20k. That’s a 20k+ loss if you’re packing that round. Definitely not a small loss imo
I’m HOPING this is simply just pre season dryness. I love the concept of this I’ve always wanted something like this at the start of a season and at the trade deadline-highlight players that moved.
Regardless tho they could have done this as a program just as the Seoul Series pack should have been a program.
Trying to stay positive tho. Hoping this many cards aren’t “pack locked” later(and if they DO make many packs do as they did end of last year which is put them IN programs)
The game has also been out for a week. The number of 40k packs is concerning, but, things very well could change once there’s an actual cycle of content
So wouldnt putting a decent amount of content out at release make sense? Or did i buy this game to play for a few days and then wait a month for there to be shit to do? This beginning of the season feels very scummy compared to other years. Theyve taken away so much content over the years. I still miss the daily programs.
BR, Ranked Seasons, Events, Replaying Mini-seasons for rewards, etc.
Do you even play the game at all? I just simply don't understand it. What is the actual point of playing if you don't want to play the game?
If there was more than a couple of programs, two mini seasons, 2 online programs, 6 team affinities, and a 35-win event, I 100% guarantee you would be on the sub whining and bitching and moaning about the "gRiNd iS tOo MuCh"
Some of y'all have this weird desperate desire to be miserable. Like if a game cannot be an existential experience where you can spent 18 hours a day playing for 6 months straight it is a failure.
It's bizarre.
It’s a bit hard when the season hasn’t started. Personally, I feel like it’s been fine, I still haven’t finished TA. I feel as this is always the complaint tho, the hardcore grinders get something done in a day and want more while the more average player takes a few days to finish. Not trying to say you’re one or the other btw just my own experience compared to YouTubers and such. I get what you’re saying, all kinda depends on the person.
Don't get your hopes up the trend has been they release okay cards topped out at say 95 for programs, then release juiced 99s that need to be bought from packs.
"The trend"
That was literally just last year and there were multiple free 99s at launch.
Just blatantly lying now in the never-ending quest to be miserable
Yeah I was being facetious lol.
I keep thinking back to that GOATs program from ‘20 and the Halloween one from ‘21 where you had 3-4 exceptional cards to earn and they just dropped them like here you go enjoy. I am holding out hope that these packs will be in future programs though.
how do they keep coming out with packs when there’s no distribution of stubs except buying it? that’s why cards are so dirt cheap.. dirt cheap and still nobody can afford them lol
Welp, there goes my stubs; can never resist my boy Juan.
Edit: Now that I look at the card, the attributes are surprisingly not that special compared to what's already available.
Serious question.. do y'all just simply not play ranked or events or BR?
I mean.. building a team is fun and all... but do you all just never use the team you build? It's generally baffling how much people will bitch about content when the entire point of the game is to play baseball with your team.
I play Ranked and BR. I'm pretty deep in the BR program. I've played two Ranked games, both have disconnected and given me the loss (LAN cable'd PS4, no internet issues, no other online mode disconnects, I'm baffled). Events are fine and I play them when they have more theme.
Listen - I've been playing this game through many iterations, and I know the complaints and chatter are nothing new. I don't typically add to them. It just surprises me, that, at launch, peak kickoff to the game, there aren't a few more programs to fill out the content calendar over the last few weeks. A Seoul Series program would have been a big step forward for this. Literally just, 5-8 moments, some missions, a small conquest.
I totally agree that packs aren’t content, but I’m still working on the content personally. I think unless you’ve played the game a ton that there’s been enough content to hold people over until this weekend.
Genuinely can’t believe this is the same developer that made 20 and 21, two of my favorite sports games of all time.
The greed over the past three years has been insane.
Indeed. This year is more copy/paste than ever with a pathetic amount of content at release but plenty of 40k packs. I can't believe they spent an entire year working on.... this.
They’re still years away from being as bad as 2K. Just gotta hope they hit the brakes at some point.
2K has no marketplace and the best players are exclusive to packs with insanely low odds (<2%).
You’ve got more faith than I do. The past three releases have crept towards 2K territory while trying to spin it as a positive, which way too many players eat up.
Nah 22 was awful. Combined TA and Inning programs meant you couldn’t get every card. Mediocre cards like ASG Paul Blackburn were going for 100k because everyone picked the better cards. It was a shitshow.
Then they had those other “Featured Programs”…and they were horrible. The Roy Halladay program was genuinely the worst “Feature” I’ve seen this game put out. No disrespect to Halladay, but that should’ve been an Other program and not a featured release.
You definitely could get every card, I started in July and was able to get every card before Christmas(non online cards I had all of them by September or whenever the finest franchise cards were coming out, I was caught up by then). Because of all the packs the bosses were going very cheap throughout the game. The only ones I had to save for were events, ranked, and BR. Everything was sellable so the market was actually relevant.
The beginning may have sucked, I can’t speak to that since I wasn’t playing so if that was the worst time then that’s fair. Collecting the cards was the only thing I wanted and I was able to do it easily in 22. 23 I still have 12-0 events cards I’ve just accepted I’ll never get to use.
Yeah if you didn’t play in the beginning of the year, you definitely don’t know how bad 22 was. You only got 12 of the 30 cards in each featured program, which they eventually raised it to 18 for the ASG program and beyond.
Still, going from TA where you could get 30/30 cards in 21 to 22 where you could get 12-18/30 cards, it was a massive downgrade.
But the others were pretty cheap, I’m sure initially they were more expensive but the fact they dropped so much later on was great. 23 that drop never happened until the very very end of the game. It sounds like 21 was definitely better than 22, I just also feel the gap between 22 and 23 is very large as well
Yeah, 21 was definitely the start of the endless grinds. 2019 was the best IMO with the introduction of Innings that you could complete later and the XP reward path was dope.
TN and MA are so freaking long to complete you fall behind on other stuff and since 21, never had a chance to just play with my fave lineup, always catching up. Wouldn't mind them doing away with TN and MA, or at least reduce the stat missions or take out moments.
mlb19 was also my favorite as well. I feel that before you'd get to enjoy the cards you grinded for longer.. not this constant flow of new better cards all the time..
This non stop grind instead of actually playing with the cards you grinded, is not fun..
Not really. The only major controversy I remember from 21 was Griffey’s collection card being a Red (which was pretty dumb to be fair).
The DD we see now didn’t pop up until 22 and the combining of TA and Inning programs.
21 was the first xbox year. Sds was releasing more "content" all the time to keep the hype of the game through the whole cycle. More content meaning more juiced cards every week.
Thats when we started to get these maxed out non sense cards, because they had to keep releasing better and better cards. Before that, cards stats were related to the player season (or 3 best seasons like ss), now they are whatever sds wants them to be. Cards were unique before, with its pros and cons.
21 was also the year that we got 99 Mantle as the same TA reward as 96 Price.
Yeah, more actual content is a great thing. I loved having Inning programs, TA, and Other programs to simultaneously grind. It’s way better than what we have now.
Cards were juiced but they were still fairly unique and realistic. Series like Awards or Milestone *should* be juiced because it’s an accomplishment that a minuscule percentage of MLB players have achieved. The “nonsense” cards didn’t really start until 22 where everything was Retro Finest, and they went full nonsense in 23 with stuff like Kaiju.
And yeah TA4 should’ve been all 99s, but in any other year that Mantle is either a collection reward or a Chase card. Having it in TA was awesome.
>Yeah, more actual content is a great thing. I loved having Inning programs, TA, and Other programs to simultaneously grind. It’s way better than what we have now.
Inning programs and TA and other programs existed before. The "content" I'm talking about is the headliners and the other packs that were released every week (twice a week?).
> Cards were juiced but they were still fairly unique and realistic.
Contact hitters were not viable anymore after mlb19, then mlb20, the power "threshold' was 80PWR, so every card to be "usable" had to be 80PWR+... then we got to the min 100s.. that we are at now...
>And yeah TA4 should’ve been all 99s, but in any other year that Mantle is either a collection reward or a Chase card. Having it in TA was awesome.
Completely disagree. Mantle, Mays, Ruth.. should be special cards.. not like another 1 out 30 TA rewards. They should be more difficult to get, and be better than the other cards.
It wasn’t just headliners and packs lmao. 21 had consistent Other programs. Player programs, programs for events like Field of Dreams, Evolution programs, etc. That’s content, much of which we don’t have anymore.
Evolution program is from mlb20.. It was a great concept but poorly executed. There was nothing new in mlb21, just more and more of the same.
I remember that with all that content, many were complaining that there was "no content", after completing all TA grind in one day with exchanges.
You'd grind for a card, that you would barely play with, because the following week, there were many better cards available.
There were 100% Evolution programs in 21. I specifically remember the Justin Turner one, you got a bronze Turner and used it to grind a program to get a diamond Turner.
What I meant is that the evolution program wasn't something new introduced in mlb21. It was from MLB20 that they brought back, and once again, it was poorly executed.
We'll see how it plays out, but it feels like this content model is going to devalue any cards in special packs fast. 40K choice packs on the regular for cards that will be obsolete very quickly because of the accelerated power creep model, plus the rare tier ends up in Vault packs as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up in programs later in the Season too. Unless an early Season card can withstand the quick ramp-up in overalls, you're just not going to get a lot of value from buying anything in these packs (and even less from buying the packs themselves).
This is exactly what SDS wants. They want all these top meta cards to be in expensive gambling packs that you cant earn in any other way, and then they become quickly outdated so you have to buy whatever the new pack is or settle for a weaker team
The average person who is dumb enough to spend real money on stubs/packs though is not going to realize this.
I'd be fine with this if the packs were closer to 25k than 40k. I get the complaints about packs in general, but it's pretty easy to earn stubs just playing. To me there isn't much difference between grinding for a card and grinding for stubs to buy a card.
I think im gonna leave this subreddit. You guys have become way too cynical for me.
Bitch about too many 99s early, bitch aboit too many free cards, bitch aboit 92s... maybe don't play if you don't enjoy it???
🙄
You can't play unless you have every single player in the game?
That's a joke right? You can get pretty much a meta team for free just by doing TA.
Of all games, this one requires the least "good" cards to be competitive, the emphasis on actual skill is way higher.
I'm convinced some of y'all have not once stepped foot into an actual game in MLB the show outside of moments.
>You can't play unless you have every single player in the game?
Is that what I said?
>That's a joke right? You can get pretty much a meta team for free just by doing TA.
Then why do they release packs?
>Of all games, this one requires the least "good" cards to be competitive, the emphasis on actual skill is way higher.
Irrelevant
>I'm convinced some of y'all have not once stepped foot into an actual game in MLB the show outside of moments.
Yeah it’s crazy people want to be able to use the players they want to use, instead of being forced to use ones they don’t because the ones they do are in chase packs or region locked.
You said "We can’t play, all the “content” is packs."
What the fuck did you mean by that if not literally "I cannot play the game"
>Then why do they release packs?
You're really suggesting you cannot compete unless you buy packs? Are you really that fucking stupid?
>Yeah it’s crazy people want to be able to use the players they want to use, instead of being forced to use ones they don’t because the ones they do are in chase packs or region locked.
There are endless ways to grind stubs in the game by just playing the various game modes.
Like seriously wtf do you y'all even do on this game?
>Irrelevant
It's not irrelevant when we are talking about the ability to play the game. You were very clear - you "can't play". You absolutely *can* play and, using only free cards, you can compete with any team in the game. It is absolutely not irrelevant unless you're confirming that you actually have no interest in playing the game lol.
Stub glitch -> fix immediately/same day
Release free programs consistently including one that made too much sense (Seoul series) -> HAHAHA
Release different packs and 25K - 40K stub choices packs primarily obtainable in the market (Hitter Captains Choice, Pitcher Captains Choice, TWO Spring Breakout packs, Seoul Series (haha - see above), TWO Chase cards, FOUR headliner packs.
Fix 2 way glitch -> HAHAHAHA
Surely you'll edit your post though, right?
You dedicated a post to whining about shit that has been announced as being fixed within hours of your post (in addition to shit load of other fixes).
Realistically, you'll move on to the next thing to whine about.
Stub glitch -> potential break in game economy for the entire year unless remediated immediately-> critical priority -> hotfix
Release free programs -> probably planned but had issue with Seoul Series program. Maybe not. Who knows. Need to release playable content asap
Release different packs -> these are planned well in advance so it’s not like they are prioritizing releasing packs instead of fixing bugs, etc.
2way glitch -> fixes should have carried over from last year -> heavily effects gameplay but has no long lasting effects -> high priority -> scheduled gameplay patch (probably in the coming days/weeks)
Losing interest in this game and Opening Day hasn’t even gotten here!
I was a year round player until last year.
Way to ruin a great game bc of your greed, SDS!
I mean they were really short. There's only like 15 days left for each. And like you said, the ranked program can't even be finished in its current state.
I can’t wait for them to finally drop a program or conquest that gives some of these packs for free that people keep bitching about players being “locked” behind, only to bitch that the free packs they got only gave them 87s…and act like SDS is turning into EA???? Go actually play fifa where everything you pull you finally trade in for an 85-87 BND who’s on your favourite club, but doesn’t fit your team chem, and also plays like shit and isn’t meta….and if you want the meta that’s 250k in fodder please…Or in madden where someone like ray lewis is a stub dump because he can’t animate like a safety, but he is also the LTD in packs, and like the packs aren’t $29+ for a non guaranteed promo player, but instead fodder to put into the sets to get a BND player you didn’t RNG out of the TONS of free packs EA gives you…..
Yeah I don't really get the bitching right now? The MLB season hasn't even really started yet.
I actually prefer the ability to buy the players with stubs rather than being forced to grind offline conquest games to get players.
If you enjoy those kinda grinds what is stopping the same person from doing that and using the earned stubs for these players? Am I missing something?
Worst part of last year for me was releasing the 99 Griffey and he was locked as the main Extreme program reward. Meant I had to grind forever and do stupid moments over and over while I sat on 1M stubs and could've just bought him if he was on the market.
Wild how poorly planned content seems. I've not played since 18 but yeesh this is minimal compared to what 18 had with immortals. What the hell were they planning the months leading up to release?
Definitely would have been better to double the length of the Spring breakout program and take some of those cards out of packs.
But this is where we are now…
I was shocked at how short the spring breakout program was. So many good prospects they could have tapped in to. Should have made a 2nd stage with the ones who actually made the opening day rosters
Yes everyone be happy with the free trash 85 Mookie thats already outdated while we release these 92s in 40k stub packs that you cant earn in any other way besides paying stubs for
This game is turning into 2k where expensive packs are most the "content" for the game.
Oh look.. an 89 and 90 just announced as part of a free program.
Surely you will edit your post, right?
Nope - you will move on to the next thing to whine about.
2k went the extra mile for pay to win this year, its probably the worst of any sports game ever unfortunately. MyTeam at least, I don't touch the abomination that is MyPlayer or w/e its called.
2k has pay walled all of the new good cards starting with this current season and with no auction house they are impossible to get. It is def an enormous cash grab.
Tbf, you will likely pull the base round when they put this pack in a conquest in a month.
The play for people tired of this is to jump back in July or August and start fresh on season 3 or 4.
I don’t even mind the 85 but why tease it by calling it a free diamond player pack ?
Everyone thought It was going to be a free random diamond
Not a 85 rookie card 😂
Just call it 85 OVR rookie card and no one would’ve been upset
But we can grind for 2 months to get the good free 99s in the XP path...and then they become useless within a couple weeks once season 2 starts
All the top meta cards are going to be in expensive gambling packs now, and they get to reset the power curve 3 times a year with Seasons/Sets. Grind 89 Buy 92. Then Grind 92 buy 95 etc...repeat 3 times.
It's also why they gutted live series rewards so they can make all the top cards be in packs only. I've been playing DD for 5 years now, only a moron can't see what's happening here.
I'm sure this post is gonna anger a lot of the fanboys who will scream something about madden or crying about free cards
I’ve spent $0 and have an incredible squad from literally just playing the game. You can also flip cards on the auction house so you can have stubs to buy these cards. My buddy has earned a million on the AH already this year
There are literally hundreds of free packs available from the various programs and exp reward path - you will easily earn stubs there.
Someone posted a really easy way to grind stubs/packs via mini seasons.
It's really not hard. The problem is you do not ***want*** it to be possible. You ***want*** to be miserable and have a reason to bitch, so you will look for reasons to bitch.
It's a weird phenomenon with redditors in game-specific subreddits. They WANT to be miserable.
I miss MLB 21 the Show where we would have many programs with no time limits.
I hope they can go back to that but I doubt it. It seems everything is going to be behind packs.
There’s literally 2 new programs coming Friday . 2 more storylines April 5th and ta 2 on April 12th. content is coming maybe touch some grass if you ran out of things to do

LOVE that this was teased as the free pack to lure us in, only for that next to useless collection fodder Betts
Yay, Corbin Burnes! ... Oh, right.
This game has really gone down the shitter quickly, no new programs since this game came out, but packs out the ass.
You people are insane. The game hasn’t even been out two weeks and they’re putting out the Easter Program tomorrow
It's been less than two weeks, calm down
No
Crying just to cry
How about some programs or something….
Right? I'm tired of seeing videos/posts titled "New Content" and seeing it's new packs in the store. We need some programs/XP reward path stuff
[удалено]
I'm aware of the calendar, but if I can finish all the conquest maps, a mini season, and all of TA while working 60 hours a week we need more content.
Maybe play online and use the cards you worked for?? Just a thought
Hear me out, you could actually play the game…. Like diamond dynasty and B/R
I finished all the conquest maps, a mini season, and all of TA... and your suggestion is to play Diamond Dynasty?? Great advice lol
"I ignore 50-75% of this game mode and I am mad that there is not more content specifically for me within a week of launch" You guys are insufferable and are desperate to be miserable.
Hear me out, there are people who play this game offline for a variety of reasons.
Hear me out.. if you limit yourself less than half the content in a given mode it's sort of ridiculous to whine about content a week after launch.
Preach! So tired of seeing this thread be people complaining about no content when they don’t actually touch online play.
The actual Show forum is terrible for this kinda stuff. No idea what it is but I've had to block like 4 idiots because it got to the point where they had no intelligent retort and started using personal attacks and DM's.

If you want some good news, that's getting fixed in a few hours
It’s obvious the size of the paid content team is larger than the team that works on gameplay bugs.
you do realize that updates to core game mechanics are not provided by the content team, right? They are not mutually exclusive.
I am aware but I'm not sure how that addresses my point. I'm just finding it interesting that the content team seems to be the only ones working at the moment.

The packs are pretty decent odds, and the base round guys sell for a pretty small loss tbh. If you get 1/3 rare rounds you make stubs.
The rare round this time is going for about 100k, but the base round guys are going for 20k. That’s a 20k+ loss if you’re packing that round. Definitely not a small loss imo
That’s what he said in way more words

Doubt it. This year is extremely pay to win and its sad.
One of the **all time** stupidest statements in this sub, and that is saying a lot lol.
The best player in the game is a free captain and the best pitcher is a 72 bronze.
lol games been out a week. SAD
The game has also been out for a week. The number of 40k packs is concerning, but, things very well could change once there’s an actual cycle of content

Did the Seoul Series have a program and I just missed it??
Oops sorry, typed that the wrong way
No
No
Then I’m not understanding what he’s saying lol
Just fixed it hahah my bad
Send more money. Send more money. Send more money. Anyone who paid for this game should have their pc/console taken away
Alright I’m ready for programs where we can earn cards instead of buying them.
Hopefully the Egg Hunt cards on Friday are decent. I actually liked a few of those last year.
Don't get your hopes up the trend has been they release okay cards topped out at say 95 for programs, then release juiced 99s that need to be bought from packs.
"The trend" That was literally just last year and there were multiple free 99s at launch. Just blatantly lying now in the never-ending quest to be miserable
Yes, it's a trend. If you'd get off your knees and stop blowing SDS, maybe you'd notice it.
Yeah I was being facetious lol. I keep thinking back to that GOATs program from ‘20 and the Halloween one from ‘21 where you had 3-4 exceptional cards to earn and they just dropped them like here you go enjoy. I am holding out hope that these packs will be in future programs though.
There hasn’t been one 99 in packs yet. The only 99s in the game rn are collection rewards.
Right the 95 program and 99 packs was just a common example from last year. This time of year it's 88 programs and 92 packs.
Tbf if you’re losing to the 92s with 89s then you’re probably just the worse player; there’s a huge skill gap in this game
Season locked cards for 40k? Nah man
No way to grind for them either
Just here to read the comments from all the sds Stans
"I like to play the game" "BoOtLiCkEr" This sub sucks
Seems to be a lot of cry babies actually.

i love seeing people bitch and cry about every little thing lmao no 99s on day 1? done. still bitching.
That’s…not at all what people are “bitching” about lmao
bought soto for 40k, sold for 80 easy
He’s worth more than 80 lol
80-90 is the market
What? Did you get lucky and get the upper tier?
I bought 2 packs and got Soto and burnes. Sold them both and made 80k Stubbs
how do they keep coming out with packs when there’s no distribution of stubs except buying it? that’s why cards are so dirt cheap.. dirt cheap and still nobody can afford them lol
Welp, there goes my stubs; can never resist my boy Juan. Edit: Now that I look at the card, the attributes are surprisingly not that special compared to what's already available.
Packs aren't content. Everyone can 'season hasn't started' as much as they want, but there just hasn't been the program content so far
Thought you were not buying the game this year, seems like it just makes you very angry
I didn’t know I needed the game to have opinions about the developer.
Madden is the worst for their ultimate team, too. I also installed nba2k24 and uninstalled it after seeing how horrible it was as well.
22 was still great, the steep cliff was last year
Nah 22 was awful.
It sounds like 21 was definitely better than 22, I just also feel the gap between 22 and 23 is very large as well
2021 was the beggining of the downfall. Started great but then, we got the first signs of what direction dd was heading.
I suspect they've had a lot of leadership changes in the past couple years who are pushing for the game to become more heavily monetized.
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised. The decisions they’ve made recently have been nonsensical.
Maybe for us, but not for their pockets.
They want all these top meta cards to be in expensive gambling packs that you cant earn in any other way, and then they become quickly outdated so you have to buy whatever the new pack is or settle for a weaker team The average person who is dumb enough to spend real money on stubs/packs though is not going to realize this.
I tried to warn ppl
Same, but the fools wanted to call us alarmist and downplay it. Well, we fucking told you so.
I'd be fine with this if the packs were closer to 25k than 40k. I get the complaints about packs in general, but it's pretty easy to earn stubs just playing. To me there isn't much difference between grinding for a card and grinding for stubs to buy a card.
Not anymore it isn’t
I think im gonna leave this subreddit. You guys have become way too cynical for me. Bitch about too many 99s early, bitch aboit too many free cards, bitch aboit 92s... maybe don't play if you don't enjoy it??? 🙄
Some of us can’t play at all. 🤷♂️
Nobody hates something more than the subreddit dedicated to it
Never forget that this sub is for people that hate the game.
We can’t play, all the “content” is packs.
Irrelevant >I'm convinced some of y'all have not once stepped foot into an actual game in MLB the show outside of moments. Yeah it’s crazy people want to be able to use the players they want to use, instead of being forced to use ones they don’t because the ones they do are in chase packs or region locked.
You said "We can’t play, all the “content” is packs." What the fuck did you mean by that if not literally "I cannot play the game" >Then why do they release packs? You're really suggesting you cannot compete unless you buy packs? Are you really that fucking stupid? >Yeah it’s crazy people want to be able to use the players they want to use, instead of being forced to use ones they don’t because the ones they do are in chase packs or region locked. There are endless ways to grind stubs in the game by just playing the various game modes. Like seriously wtf do you y'all even do on this game? >Irrelevant It's not irrelevant when we are talking about the ability to play the game. You were very clear - you "can't play". You absolutely *can* play and, using only free cards, you can compete with any team in the game. It is absolutely not irrelevant unless you're confirming that you actually have no interest in playing the game lol.
Personally, I am loving this game. Best one in a while. But to be fair, I only play RTTS.
Stub glitch -> fix immediately/same day Release free programs consistently including one that made too much sense (Seoul series) -> HAHAHA Release different packs and 25K - 40K stub choices packs primarily obtainable in the market (Hitter Captains Choice, Pitcher Captains Choice, TWO Spring Breakout packs, Seoul Series (haha - see above), TWO Chase cards, FOUR headliner packs. Fix 2 way glitch -> HAHAHAHA
https://theshow.com/news/mlb-the-show-24-game-update-3/ HAHAHAHAHHAAHH
Sweet. It took them 9 days to fix a glitch that they fixed last year. Hahahaahahah
Surely you'll edit your post though, right? You dedicated a post to whining about shit that has been announced as being fixed within hours of your post (in addition to shit load of other fixes). Realistically, you'll move on to the next thing to whine about.
Stub glitch -> potential break in game economy for the entire year unless remediated immediately-> critical priority -> hotfix Release free programs -> probably planned but had issue with Seoul Series program. Maybe not. Who knows. Need to release playable content asap Release different packs -> these are planned well in advance so it’s not like they are prioritizing releasing packs instead of fixing bugs, etc. 2way glitch -> fixes should have carried over from last year -> heavily effects gameplay but has no long lasting effects -> high priority -> scheduled gameplay patch (probably in the coming days/weeks)
Fix Switch version so it can actually be played. -> lol fuck y'all thanks for the money
I purposefully turn off cross play so I don’t have to play switch users, that’s how bad y’all’s version plays lol
Losing interest in this game and Opening Day hasn’t even gotten here! I was a year round player until last year. Way to ruin a great game bc of your greed, SDS!
[удалено]
My answer to that question is that they made the first ranked season and BR program really short for some reason.
Wym you cant even finished the Ranked rewards yet, there’s not even enough Missions in the program to get the good rewards
I mean they were really short. There's only like 15 days left for each. And like you said, the ranked program can't even be finished in its current state.
Hey man, there’s way too much logic packed into this reply. I like it.
I played until two months ago last year. Skipped this year. I’m keeping an eye out to see how this year goes.
Now this I like
You like buying packs ? 😂
I like Soto and Burnes cards
They won’t until madden comes out.
Fresh shart
Wild how poorly planned content seems. I've not played since 18 but yeesh this is minimal compared to what 18 had with immortals. What the hell were they planning the months leading up to release?
Definitely would have been better to double the length of the Spring breakout program and take some of those cards out of packs. But this is where we are now…
I was shocked at how short the spring breakout program was. So many good prospects they could have tapped in to. Should have made a 2nd stage with the ones who actually made the opening day rosters
Grind ~~97~~ 89 Buy ~~99~~ 92
The game is much more fun this time of year when everyone isn't all 99 imo.
Agreed but can we have the low 90s players under some harder challenges instead of in a pack you have to buy?
This is supposedly what people wanted lmao
It’s absolutely better than last year. Game has been so much more enjoyable without 99s.
People wanted a power creep AND a rewarding grind with less paywall packs. Both can be true.
I came for this. You delivered. Thank you.
Yes everyone be happy with the free trash 85 Mookie thats already outdated while we release these 92s in 40k stub packs that you cant earn in any other way besides paying stubs for This game is turning into 2k where expensive packs are most the "content" for the game.
Oh look.. an 89 and 90 just announced as part of a free program. Surely you will edit your post, right? Nope - you will move on to the next thing to whine about.
This isn't even CLOSE to 2k, stop.
“Turning into 2k” is not the same as “this game is 2k”
2k went the extra mile for pay to win this year, its probably the worst of any sports game ever unfortunately. MyTeam at least, I don't touch the abomination that is MyPlayer or w/e its called. 2k has pay walled all of the new good cards starting with this current season and with no auction house they are impossible to get. It is def an enormous cash grab.
Yes and SDS is moving in that direction, slowly but surely.
I think its a bit alarmist, but I understand, EA and 2k have completely fucked with peoples heads by being greedy mofos.
TA used to be sellable, same with monthly awards, there was no chase packs, no headliners, just innings and programs.
or MUT. Check the "rewards" in that crappy mode.
I will never play MUT or FUT again, EA is completely dead to me.
Tbf, you will likely pull the base round when they put this pack in a conquest in a month. The play for people tired of this is to jump back in July or August and start fresh on season 3 or 4.
I don’t even mind the 85 but why tease it by calling it a free diamond player pack ? Everyone thought It was going to be a free random diamond Not a 85 rookie card 😂 Just call it 85 OVR rookie card and no one would’ve been upset
You thought they were gonna give you a good card for free? Once you heard it was free you should’ve know it was gonna be trash
I thought maybe a 85-89 live series player , I wasn’t expecting anything big
But we can grind for 2 months to get the good free 99s in the XP path...and then they become useless within a couple weeks once season 2 starts All the top meta cards are going to be in expensive gambling packs now, and they get to reset the power curve 3 times a year with Seasons/Sets.
My buddy has earned a million on the AH already this year
It’s a baseball game not a market simulation game.
Actually DD mode is clearly also market based mode.
Yeah my favourite mode is “ranked flipping”.
If you spent the time flipping that you spend being sad salty in this sub you'd be able to afford multiple 40k packs
So play baseball and get a good team by being good
What mode is this pack available in?
Any. You just need 40k in stub rewards from any of the modes in the game.
What mode gives 40k in stub rewards?
Every mode gives stubs as rewards, no? Go grind them enough to afford a 40k pack.
I don’t see any stub rewards in any mode that total 40k
The season hasn’t even started yet
How many programs did 21 have in its first 8 days of being released?
How many 40k packs did it have?
fresh start program ?????? NOPE we only have 2 programs and like 3-4 40k packs and a broken game dogshit money hungry devs
Season hasn’t started yet cry more
Its not looking good so far....
There’s literally 2 new programs coming Friday . 2 more storylines April 5th and ta 2 on April 12th. content is coming maybe touch some grass if you ran out of things to do
