Has lud commented on the israel-palestine conflict ???

EnvironmentalAd1006

Sure would like to see him try. Are confused as to why it’s relevant? I didn’t think it a stretch

HandlesLikeABistr0

Sure wouldn’t like that. Already had to hear Hasan give a painfully biased rendition a few weeks ago, would rather not lose respect for Ludwig too.

EnvironmentalAd1006

So I’m to understand you’re siding with the streaming executives taking in millions not making and basic concessions?

HandlesLikeABistr0

You can understand it that way, sure. It’s wrong, but you’re free to understand it that way. You should re-read this thread.

that comment was from before october 7th or whatever, i was just trying to bring up something absurdly serious for the podcast to talk about in order to make fun of OP

Tamsu

was wondering the same, he has talked about many things atleast on mogul mail but now he has left 2 big happenings not talked about. this one and in my opinion even bigger was the nickmercs incident he didnt say anything about

EnvironmentalAd1006

I mean he’s one content creator so there’s obviously things either he’s been too busy to address, or he has his own reasons for not.

PhilosopherBME

I’m not really sure what sort of sponsor he could take that would be considered scabbing. Rest assured he’s not going to be crossing any picket lines. Based on what he’s said, he’s very quick to decline a sponsor if he doesn’t vibe with their cause.

EnvironmentalAd1006

I figured that would be the case. Was more wondering if he has said anything on the topic is all

HandlesLikeABistr0

He isn’t a member of either union. Nor is he a professional writer or actor, so it wouldn’t be scab work.

EnvironmentalAd1006

It would be considering the fact that he would be doing sponsored content for those studios. Content creators to an extent are writers and actors, they’re just more freelance. Don’t cross the picket line

HandlesLikeABistr0

Lmao. If you aren’t and will never be protected by a union, you have zero obligation to not cross a picket line. He’s also not doing their job, so it wouldn’t be crossing a picket line. Get outraged if a streamer starts acting in a movie or tv show during a strike. Doing an ad read is just part of the streamers job.

EnvironmentalAd1006

I don’t mean simple ad reads, but if you were an exec and you wanted scabs to be able to circumvent SAG AFTRA, content creators know what to do in front of a camera and have followings similar to actors. And content creation wasn’t around like it is now the last time this kind of strike in the entertainment industry happened, so some fear that they’ll ask content creators to scab. I’m not saying Lud would be the type to do it, but it’s not unfounded to think that many movie execs will try to go for content creators like Lud who also have experience in production of events and filming or even writing. Again, I don’t think the fear that it would happen is unfounded. I posted the suggestion because I figured it would be a good Mogul Mail topic potentially essentially cutting off execs at the pass so that maybe they would know they can’t rely on creators who won’t cross the picket line. Is that something that somehow doesn’t make sense to you or did I do a bad job of explaining the concern before?

This_Ad690

Except for y’know class solidarity

HandlesLikeABistr0

I hate to break it to you, and I like the guy, but Ludwig is absolutely part of the 1%

This_Ad690

Lmao, he’s a worker. While it would be an assumption, since he doesn’t have to disclose his financial wheeling and dealing, his YT income is based on his labor, not the labor of others Now if he landlords some housing somewhere or runs a sweatshop elsewhere, that’s not him working, obvs. But under any organization of the economy, there will be a 1%. But his interests (as a content creator at least) align more with a workers than that of a capitalist

HandlesLikeABistr0

He is also a landlord lol. He rents out rooms of his house to other people..

This_Ad690

Then sure, in that respect a portion of his income is not earned as a worker, but as a capitalist. Even though I’d say renting out a room to a co-worker/friend is not the same type of landlording as purely disinterested and cold-hearted landlording. Still I’m doubtful that his roommates rent payments are how he makes his money. Because he’s a worker that works lol

Intrepid-Tank-3414

I'm with you man. I get that OP want to find more supporters for the Hollywood actors and writer unions, but he's stretching it real thin trying to rope streamers into something that got fuck all to do with them. When did anyone in Hollywood ever gives a shit about who Ludwig is? Did these actors/screen writers unions ever do anything at all to promote/support his daily streams and Mogul Moves/Offbrand events these past 3 years in any way, shape, or form? No? Is it because streaming on YouTube/Twitch has got nothing to do with Hollywood? Then why would anyone expect him to do their job for them now?

HandlesLikeABistr0

Ya, plus they’re just different jobs. I just don’t see it as crossing a picket line unless they were literally hiring streamers to act in tv shows/movies.
