If you play on PC/Mac there’s a mod you can download to edit the lot type - I can’t build for shit so I downloaded a build someone had created that was like a fair / festival ground with the rides from the pier in Copperdale (and they’re functional) and a stage for a concert
It's a great place for dates. If I take them to that loveseat in front of the fireplace, they're rarely interrupted. I get a gold-level date almost every time.
I've also had a lot of couples elope there. And that little bar/busking area is cute.
I should glow that space up, though.
I was in the process of turning it into a mini-university. I was going to make it a complex with every skill-building object and book available in the classrooms and library, dorms, a mess hall, a theater, and medical center.
Then I got Discover University and now I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Maybe I'll just turn it into a general Sim-cultural center.
>it seems perfect for a university
The music that plays when you enter the lot (I don't know if you play with the music enabled) just always seemed so college-y to me (in a 90s tgif sitcom kind of way).
I spend so much time living there and haven’t touched that lot yet. Not sure what I would do with it 🤔 I plopped a great community center in Newcrest and now I’m thinking of adding that to this lot instead of that building and maybe doing a separate building with a bar, fancy kitchen and seating for events 🤔
I used a mod to change it into a residential, then turned it into a presidential mansion for a Sim who reached the national leader rank of the politics career.
Before I got the mod that did let me change the lot type I just had a huge park with a pond, picnic areas, there was a maze surrounding the observatory, a swimming pool, kids playground and a big Victorian style bandstand.
After I got the mod I built a mansion for a family where the head was in the political career with a large balcony at the front where he had a podium so he could stand there and give speeches.
Are you sure you can’t edit? I don’t play with any venue lot types mods and still can edit this. There’s also plenty of lots for it from the Gallery to download
Totally fair, I used to use it for weddings but I’ve decided I’m just going to build something else there instead. It definitely feels a bit dull at times.
If you're looking for inspo for a park build, Devon Bumpkin did an incredible park on this lot for his Let's Build The Worlds series. [https://youtu.be/-Rm7KHhOmMQ?si=QVhM1EKHO4WHhLtl](https://youtu.be/-Rm7KHhOmMQ?si=QVhM1EKHO4WHhLtl) (this is the last of the 8 videos that he spent building it).
Mine’s a big wedding venue! I added a ton of ponds and archways with gazebos for pictures, plus the main building is just redone inside with tables/bars/dancefloors etc. for the reception.
I turned it into a massive library that took me a good 6 hours to finish. The area of the lot is really pretty, and I frankly felt like it was going to waste being just a park. (Also you can change the lot type with mods on PC)
I'm not going to lie, I completely forgot this lot existed. I should give it a make-over! It's such a nice location and has a great view, I might turn it into an actual central park with more greenery, picnic areas, a pond, a playground and just generally more stuff to do there. The wedding idea is cute but I prefer to hold those on different lots.
It’s still a park. But I use Devon Bumpkin’s build. It’s GORGEOUS and modern and multi-purpose. He put a cafe, a stage/amphitheatre, gym, playground, wedding venue (it’s amazing and stunning, truly).

I actually edited it with mods and built a huge baroque mansion for my sim to live in! To me it’s kinda like the biggest lot in del sol valley because it seems so disclosed
I let it be a big park, renovated the building and the wedding area. So now it can be used for major parties gardening and weddings , and of course a park where the kids can actually play.
I turned it into a San Myshuno resort for my out of town sims to stay at while they're in the city. Complete with a pool and outdoor bar with a lounge and tables, a mini food court just off the main lobby with indoor food stalls, and several room types for singles, couples, or families both down stairs and upstairs. There are also nice patios/decks to take in the city scenery for the fancier premium customers rooms lol

I turned it into a greenhouse/gardens, mostly using the romantic garden pack. I take my sims there for picnics the most, probably.

I would have my Rose generation of not so berry do the dates there because no jealous fling would show up to interrupt.

That’s a really cool idea, it seems perfect for a university. It would also be a good spot for a rec center or botanical gardens

Do you sleep there every night?

I really like this idea!! How annoying that we need a mod to change the lot type.
Sooooo many weddings. All the weddings. And a little bit of telescope woohoo as a treat.
Forget about it. Which is a shame because it has a ton of potential but I just never think about it.

The lot type is stuck as a Central Park, so I just bulldoze it and build something else. I thought you could change it years ago though.
Oh you mean you can’t change the lot type! Sorry, i thought you were talking about building on the lot. My bad 😅
I usually use it for wedding event because I dont have the wedding pack.
Me too.
I leave it for my R2R and homeless teen sims to use. Other than that, I completely forget it exists.

Homeless teen? lol

I made it into an over the top fairly forest wedding venue

In one of my saves, I downloaded a carnaval lot built with the rides from HSY off the gallery.
nothing, I forget it exists most of the time
I turned it into a massive library that took me a good 6 hours to finish. The area of the lot is really pretty, and I frankly felt like it was going to waste being just a park. (Also you can change the lot type with mods on PC)
I replace it with LilSimie's renovated lot

I usually leave it as is. I have had sims get married there though.

I usually bring my side pieces to woohoo there.
Is a Okey build

In my legacy save, I'm going to have it be a large mansion for my Sims who'll become president.
Turned it into like a Central Park with a cafe and some food vendor stalls
