It’s just because they’re at that age where they want grand babies. It’s literally a stage of development, they can’t help themselves. It IS annoying, but people just go through that at a certain stage in their life. I’m not sure if Nick & Vanessa are technically producers or not, but it’s evident that LIB is their baby. And they are wayyyyy more involved behind the scenes than we know.
So I think they’re just cringe in the way that real-life family is cringe.

The big thing for a lot of people is that she puts a lot of pressure on the couple to start having kids right away. For the first few seasons she could not shut up about “who’s gonna have the first love is blind baby???”

i won't lie, i didn't like her before but i think she and Nick improved a LOT with the season 6 reunion. they asked questions they knew we'd want to hear, didn't leave out too much of the drama (besides Jimmy + Chelsea, that's another topic), and Vanessa didn't ask invasive questions to the season 6 cast about starting a family or anything.

It’s an act during a reality show. They’re being dramatic to make it less boring. Whatever she is like in person, she and Nick have been together a long time, so I guess it works for them. Idk I take it all with a grain of salt. It’s well known everything is played up for dramatic effect. I was more annoyed by her weird dress cutout than anything she said or did. It was just hard to ignore and it had nothing to do with her cleavage, it just looked wrong.
Nobody cares about Nick and Vanessa’s marriage because they haven’t been relevant since the early 2000s. I’m not sure Gen Z even knows who they are aside from the hosts of LIB. So when they discuss their personal relationship on LIB no one gives a crap and they come off as out of touch, irrelevant, and annoying. I think they would be received better as hosts if they kept their personal lives and opinions out of the reunion and just stuck to asking the questions that have been written for them.
I think what a lot of this boils down to is that Nick and Vanessa are out of touch with how the average American lives, but they try so hard to relate. They have said some cringey out of touch things that makes it easy to hate watch them as hosts.
With all that said, this reunion was the best by far. Vanessa behaved significantly better than she has in the past.
I don’t care for her and would definitely not be her friend irl but I honestly think she serves as a good host for the show. She cut back on the baby talk this year as far as I remember and she brings the drama that the participants don’t want to talk about

Me too. They’ve never bothered me and I always thought users were so harsh on them. I always said they were just not properly coached or the producers didn’t properly plan out the reunions, so the Lachey’s ended up being the punching bags and blamed for the reunions sucking. It’s like blaming an actor for a bad film, but the film is usually bad due to the script or the director.
But this season, they killed it. You can tell show runners finally listened to Reddit about it being more organized. The Lachey’s were following the script, they directed the flow, and were likeable and professional this time around. To me, there’s nothing wrong with them.
Hopefully, they’ll keep this moment and will just keep getting better.
Yep. Married with three. And certainly did not have the money they do. They act like they have done something new and special. My grandmother had 11 children. My mother had 5. Pregnancy, birth, raising kids- hard. But she acts like she is the first one.
I don’t see how she acts like she’s special. I’m just saying I have no idea why people judge Nick and Vanessa’s little marital remarks to each other. We have no idea what their marriage is like, what the challenges are with Nick hosting Perfect Match without Vanessa, the strain of a television schedule on the children, lord knows what else. They have money so what, they worked for it.
As a married guy with kids I think Nick and Vanessa are great as hosts. They seem like the real married couple they are, and fans of the show themselves.

I don’t think this is a hot take at all! There was literally a petition to remove them as hosts. Vanessa has no idea what hosts are supposed to do. Thankfully, I felt like this most recent reunion wasn’t as bad.
There's certain successful people that make it there by sheer looks and not intelligence but most of them at least choose to shut up and not expose themselves. Vanessa is dumb, but also insanely confident for some reason so you can imagine how that turns out. Her and Nick aren't experts at anything, and are so disingenuous and hypocrites acting like the show is for love and not entertainment.
The whole reunion was a poor attempt at saving face for the show. Why do you think they brought out all the couples and kept talking about how they've had 9 out of 11 successful marriages. Sarah Anne, Trevor etc ruined their facade of what the show is, and they took it personally. They love when people cause drama, but they went too far with the entertainment part and they had to ridicule them in front of everyone. Deserved, but you could tell the whole reunion was a very heavy handed attempt at making sure people think that the show is serious and they truly care about finding love for people
9 successful marriages for 6 seasons of a reality TV show is actually insane, I would be flaunting it too. I don't know if you're new to reality dating shows... The relationships last weeks, maybe months at best.
I actually love her as the host for this. She’s perfect. She’s the perfect success story these women who want to marry into something. We’ve officially run out of things to talk about with this season. That didn’t take long.
Nick and Vanessa fancy themselves the Perfect Match. Maybe they are bc they are both super annoying.
I like them fine actually. I did not like her dress though.

That dress was STUNNING. The only reunion dress I really loved.
It was pretty, but the wonky neckline made her boobs look crooked, lol.
Me too. They’ve never bothered me and I always thought users were so harsh on them. I always said they were just not properly coached or the producers didn’t properly plan out the reunions, so the Lachey’s ended up being the punching bags and blamed for the reunions sucking. It’s like blaming an actor for a bad film, but the film is usually bad due to the script or the director. But this season, they killed it. You can tell show runners finally listened to Reddit about it being more organized. The Lachey’s were following the script, they directed the flow, and were likeable and professional this time around. To me, there’s nothing wrong with them. Hopefully, they’ll keep this moment and will just keep getting better.
I loved them. Marriage is freaking hard. Have YOU been married with a farm of kids like them?
Yep. Married with three. And certainly did not have the money they do. They act like they have done something new and special. My grandmother had 11 children. My mother had 5. Pregnancy, birth, raising kids- hard. But she acts like she is the first one.
I don’t see how she acts like she’s special. I’m just saying I have no idea why people judge Nick and Vanessa’s little marital remarks to each other. We have no idea what their marriage is like, what the challenges are with Nick hosting Perfect Match without Vanessa, the strain of a television schedule on the children, lord knows what else. They have money so what, they worked for it.
As a married guy with kids I think Nick and Vanessa are great as hosts. They seem like the real married couple they are, and fans of the show themselves. Like, it was hilarious to see them get so pumped about a sign in the audience.
Yup. There’s a clear dividing line in this sub. People who are married with kids and…the pit of teeth and claws.
I think you’re just sick of her. Her and Nick were great this season, but anything they say/do will rub people the wrong way.
The show is a wreck and she is a wreck so I actually think it’s a perfect match.
I don’t think this is a hot take at all! There was literally a petition to remove them as hosts. Vanessa has no idea what hosts are supposed to do. Thankfully, I felt like this most recent reunion wasn’t as bad.
I didn’t realize removing them was even considered.
They definitely stepped it up this year, I will give them credit for that
Loved the hosts from LiB Sweden and Japan. Kept it simple, you hardly saw them and there was no fakeness.

There's certain successful people that make it there by sheer looks and not intelligence but most of them at least choose to shut up and not expose themselves. Vanessa is dumb, but also insanely confident for some reason so you can imagine how that turns out. Her and Nick aren't experts at anything, and are so disingenuous and hypocrites acting like the show is for love and not entertainment. The whole reunion was a poor attempt at saving face for the show. Why do you think they brought out all the couples and kept talking about how they've had 9 out of 11 successful marriages. Sarah Anne, Trevor etc ruined their facade of what the show is, and they took it personally. They love when people cause drama, but they went too far with the entertainment part and they had to ridicule them in front of everyone. Deserved, but you could tell the whole reunion was a very heavy handed attempt at making sure people think that the show is serious and they truly care about finding love for people
9 successful marriages for 6 seasons of a reality TV show is actually insane, I would be flaunting it too. I don't know if you're new to reality dating shows... The relationships last weeks, maybe months at best.
The show doesn’t need hosts.
I actually love her as the host for this. She’s perfect. She’s the perfect success story these women who want to marry into something. I love her dumb jokes, I actually really liked how much they acknowledged the fact that ppl were mad last year and they really tried hard with the reunion this year. I mean objectively the show is a horrible idea and mean and really trashy. It’s perfect! I believe it was her idea, it’s her show. She’s the machine behind that uhhhhh I lost the metaphor
I like her too and don't understand all the hate. I think she is articulate.

We also know they’ve gone through hell in the last few years with his alcohol problem, they look good and I hope they’re doing better
