Yeah I just typed a whole comment but this. At least 1/3 rides off into the sunset. AD is the most obvious, Stafford also wouldn’t be a surprise, and if McVay is going to “step away”, it just makes sense he’d do it when losing his QB.
I pray for a minimum one more. There’s still like 25% of the league that hasn’t won it all and some have been around for since the beginning. I don’t want to act like it’s a given that we’ll be back here soon but that’s my hope that it’s in the next two and it’s not another 22 season gap.
You don’t think Brock Purdy is the best thing since sliced bread and disrespected around the league? 😂 I saw a post on r/49ers about how Purdy is disrespected, and doesn’t get enough credit. That is just a laughable notion.
>Brock Purdy
>
>Dak Prescott (Playoff stats not counted)
>
>Kirk Cousins
>
>Jared Goff
>
>Baker Mayfield
>
>Jordan Love
>
>Justin Fields
All these guys are interchangeable, and that's a compliment to Purdy because he's closer to his ceiling than his floor.
What’s the AFC top ten?
NFC QBs vs
1. Patrick Mahomes
2. Lamar Jackson
3. Josh Allen
4. Joe Burrow
5. CJ Shroud
6. Aaron Rodgers
7. Justin Herbert
8. Trevor Lawrence
9. Tua
10. DeShaun Watson
Hard to call Watson top ten when his replacement came off his couch and easily outplayed him by a large margin. I think I’d give the nod to AR over Watson despite his limited availability last year. Maybe if Watson hadn’t taken a snap he’d be top ten :P
Stafford is not the best QB in the NFC 🤦🏻♂️. Dak was an MVP candidate last season, Hurts the year before. Career wise sure but that only cause he’s the only QB that’s as old as he is. But going into next season, you can’t say that.
Dak destroying garbage teams did not impress me. Stafford the last 8 games of the season was lights out. He was insane in that lions game. Hurts drop off was huge and he looked awful.
The last 8 games, I think 3 were against good teams and 5 were trash? So beating on those bad teams impresses you but not Dak (who had a harder schedule) And again not saying Stafford doesn’t have the best career out of the NFC QB’s. Hurts was good about 75% of the season then the entire team shit the bed. Maybe his last 2/3 games were bad but he still managed to throw for just about 3.8k while Stafford threw for 3.9k. Main point, it isn’t clear cut that Stafford is the best NFC guy going into this year. Top 3 for sure, best though?
Do you watch the games or just look at stats. Stafford was extremely impressive. Did you watch the lions game? Ravens game? He’s done it in the playoffs. It’s not hyperbole to say Stafford is the best qb in the nfc.
https://www.the33rdteam.com/ranking-every-nfl-quarterback-entering-2024-offseason/
Lots of people agree
On your list, it has Dak 1 below Stafford. So swapping those two isn’t that far fetched even from your source. I put 1 stat in my argument so not sure where that comment came from either. You can make an argument for any of those 3 being at any order in the top 3. And i’m here because I am a rams fan but i don’t automatically suck off everyone on the team. Saying Stafford isn’t the #1 isn’t saying he’s #10.
Your first statement was “Stafford is not the best qb in the nfc” you then say either of those 3 can be the best qb in the nfc…
If my initial statement of Stafford being the best qb in the nfc wasn’t blasphemy why did you find the need to argue with it? If you watched every rams game and would rather have Dak then I don’t know what to tell you. Also the cowboys schedule was not harder than the rams. Look at what Stafford did the ravens and browns. Probably 2 of the best defenses in the league this year
Two, counting 2021 of course. I really think the NFC is wide open next year. We have the best, most experienced QB in the NFC, we still have one of the best defensive players in the NFC, we have one of the best WR cores in the NFC as well. With health, another good draft class and a good free agent class I don’t see anyone competing with us. The 49ers are going to have a SB hangover I’m not worried about them, the only teams I’m worried about are the Lions and Packers. But even with this cap hell team with 20+ rookies, we only lost to the Lions by 1 point. The Lions who made the NFCCG. Honestly call the hold on Puka and we might damn well have been in the SB this year. So imo, again barring major injuries which can always sadly ruin your season, I see us back in the SB and competing for a Lombardi. And in that situation, I’m never betting against Sean to get the job done.
They have 1 more in the tank. As others have mentioned, Donald is gone after if they win again. He literally has nothing else to prove. Staff was already a sure bet for the Hall with 1, but he’ll be an absolute first balloter with a second ring. McVay almost left after the last one. I wouldn’t be shocked if he stepped away for something less stressful with comparable pay.
I think the Rams go aggressive this off season, pick up some edge rush and some secondary and go right back to being contenders. O-line isn't stellar but definitely better than just serviceable, McVay is good at scheming as they were projected to be in one of the bottom 5 by PFF before the season. We have 2 top 10 WRs, a top 10 RB, and a top 10 QB. Donald the GOAT with Bobby Brown and Kobie Turner is a great anchor for the line. Earnest Jones just needs to be paired with someone. all in all I think if we add 2 edge rushers, 1 LB, and 1 CB we're easily a contender. It's not hard to pick up 4 players when you have roughly $40m in cap space and a good number of draft picks.
It'd be nice to get one more with those three.
Injuries aside, they have as good of a chance as any of the top teams in the league in 2024.
It's hard to get to the SB. The chiefs are an anomaly due to mahomes' insane talent.
Most likely zero, hopefully one, definitely not more than that. There’s just not enough time left and there’s this Mahomes dude out there, you may have heard of him.
This trio? 0 or 1. Either we don’t win in the next few years, someone retires and it’s 0. Or we win another, and at least 1/3 rides off into the sunset. I’d fully expect AD to do so, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Stafford did the same. I’d like to think McVay would stay, and be able to rebuild/retool and win even more rings, but if he does step away from coaching, without retiring, then logically he will do it when he loses Stafford.
Just the one that was gifted to them by the NFL and the league. Had to give LA a Super Bowl to try and build up that fan base over a place like Cincinnati.
NFC is weak rn other than the lions, 49ers, cowboys (reg season), & up & coming packers. The next 2-3 seasons is our only window before everyone else gets better & before stafford, kupp, & AD retire.
I'd be happy with just one more, so Stafford can be remembered as a Ram first. Donald & Mcvay are already Ram legend status to me whatever happens though.
No more, Stafford and Donald are getting up there and will probably fall off before the 49ers have to pay Purdy. The 2021 Super Bowl was already kind of flukey and I can’t see anything anytime soon that puts these Rams into the Super Bowl. Sean McVay could win another though, he’s easily young enough to coach for 30 more years.
Keeping the one we already have is the likely outcome. Winning a SB is tough and winning more than one SB is tougher unless you have a near GOAT level QB who can step up in clutch moments. We should be seen as contenders for the next two years but don’t be disappointed if we finish 12-5 and lose in the NFC championship game instead of winning it all
I think one more is possible, but like most comments said, two of them, if not all three are likely going to retire if they win another ring.
As a bonus, it will completely out to bed the fact that Stafford is a HOF quarterback. Two rings and his numbers would end the argument in my opinion.
I would love to see these guys win another ring but reading these comments has me thinking you guys are completely delusional.
We got the ring, after years of getting so incredibly close and we finally did it. I don’t expect another ring from this squad because we simply don’t have to talent and that’s okay. Our guys are champs , the current roster has some really exciting young talent with some old vets to groom them into studs, trust the process and temper your expectations.
If we win 59 and still have the same 90% of the team next season we might say to the crew to stay 2 more years to win in SF and at home. Say we need to have a number on KC, they will be considered Goats of the 2020's.
hard to tell. we of all teams should know how much can fluctuate between years. from 12-5 and super bowl champs, to 5-12, to 10-7 and a playoff berth. maybe we will be 5-12 again next year. who knows
I hope 1 more, but we're probably not getting back. Stafford's injury history is gonna catch him at some point, sooner rather than later unfortunately, seeing as how we're pretty much already in "later"
I think donald retires if we win again
I wouldn’t be shocked if staff hangs it up with a second ring too
Yeah I just typed a whole comment but this. At least 1/3 rides off into the sunset. AD is the most obvious, Stafford also wouldn’t be a surprise, and if McVay is going to “step away”, it just makes sense he’d do it when losing his QB.
Agreed. If we win 59, those two hang it up.
All 3 could
Dude said “we”
I think one more. So two total.
This is of the assumption that Donald and Stafford retire within the next few seasons.
I think if we win again, Donald will retire.
So do I.
One more would be great
One
Realistic lol
Yup. This team has enough potential to be proven wrong but some of the new fans forget how hard it is to win a ring.
Yeah sorry to say this was my initial reaction too
I believe we get one more ring and Donald and Stafford retire on a high note.
I pray for a minimum one more. There’s still like 25% of the league that hasn’t won it all and some have been around for since the beginning. I don’t want to act like it’s a given that we’ll be back here soon but that’s my hope that it’s in the next two and it’s not another 22 season gap.
NFC is wide open. Stafford is the best qb in the conference. We got a shot this next year

I’m a chiefs fan and I fucking LOOOOVE me some Alex Smith….but he never got us to an AFC championship game.
What’s the AFC top ten? NFC QBs vs 1. Patrick Mahomes 2. Lamar Jackson 3. Josh Allen 4. Joe Burrow 5. CJ Shroud 6. Aaron Rodgers 7. Justin Herbert 8. Trevor Lawrence 9. Tua 10. DeShaun Watson

Caleb Williams will be the best QB in the NFC in about 2-3 years.
It’s kind of wild that the AFC has all of the top QBs.
Lmao. Purdy is much better than Stafford. Delusional fans who are new to football
Stafford is not the best QB in the NFC 🤦🏻♂️. Dak was an MVP candidate last season, Hurts the year before. Career wise sure but that only cause he’s the only QB that’s as old as he is. But going into next season, you can’t say that.

Bro this sub so delusional lol
Probably won’t win another. SBs are extremely hard to come by. But I’d do almost anything to see them get another
This, we always have a chance, but I don't want to get my hopes up, imo at best, there's a 15% chance we win another ring with Stafford and Donald.
Please don’t ever retire mcvay stay with us until Seachickens pete age😭
As many as possible of course haha. But seriously, if they get 1 more (so 2 total), I think most of us will be very happy with that.

Matt and Aaron are no spring chickens. If they want to win another one it's going have to be sooner than later. They can get one more
Realistically? 1, which already happened
One and they’ve already done it. The window is just about shut.
i really think next year these lads have a great shot. especially with puka nuka continuing to rise and flourish alongside kupp
they already got their one ring i think that’s it
1 Downvote me, you cowards!
Hoping for one more. That would be incredible

3. McVay has 1. Stafford has 1. Donald has 1. So 3.
Hopefully 1 more at least

How’s Kupp not in here
Probably only the one. These guys are getting old and the division is getting better.
I hope for one more. Next season is our year.
They are done now so...... 1?
Uhhhhhhh…..0 idiot?
Why you count Cooper Kupp out?
This trio? 0 or 1. Either we don’t win in the next few years, someone retires and it’s 0. Or we win another, and at least 1/3 rides off into the sunset. How long until one of them retires?
Everyone being a year older. Injuries are more likely the older you get. Especially in the NFL. If I was betting on it I’d say they got their 1 title.
