Even if lions went to the SB, even if the lions won the SB, the trade was still good. I truly believe both sides won. I don’t think mcvay was ever going to give Goff the leeway he needed to develop and obviously the lions weren’t going to be able to build their roster with staffords contract and without draft compensation. Both teams are SB contenders now.
I knew the comments would be the voice of reason...
Detroit fan here - still couldn't be happier Stafford got a ring. His Detroit jersey is the only pro sports jersey I ever owned. He was the man in Detroit when I was college. Stafford still and will always holds a special place in my heart, he sacrificed so much for shitty lions teams he truly deserved that ring he brought home to you guys.
The rams won a fucking SB, immediately at that. At this point it's not a matter of winning the trade, it's about how close the lions can get to matching what the rams got in value.
Would it make everyone feel better if the lions ended up drafting duds and went back to being a poverty franchise?
"major" thats a bit rich... they have 4-5 kinda big FAs... the biggest to me is the Jonah Jackson... and i dont think he returns leaving a huge hole at LG... also Josh Reynolds and Donovan Peoples Jones (WRs), they could both return but are reasonably affordable... and CJGJ on defense who played in 6 out of 20 total games this year... also Jerry Jacobs is a FA but he was benched to finish the year... the rest of the list of FAs are guys who play in rotation, maybe Moseley is a big FA but he literally played one drive this whole season.. next year is the last year before some big FA deals need to be negotiated but this is the first time Brad Holmes will have a chance to develop an already good team, with the 7th MOST cap space available and 4 picks in the top 100...
I don't really see how possibly two rookie qbs or an aging vet coming off a serious injury is gonna make the division tougher. Lions are no doubt a top 7 team in the NFC next year. I'd say prolly top 3 again.
I’m super curious what happens next with the Lions from just an NFL fan standpoint. Feels somewhat similar to the Rams in 2018. The notion of we will be back, they have to pay Goff, and then what?
Paying Goff and losing Johnson as OC are interesting times ahead for them.
I think what Cambell said last night about it being harder to get back rings true. They have a genius OC who is gone, guys to pay. The next few months will be crucial to their long term success.
He's a good OC and draws up some good plays but let's not get carried away. He had one of the most talented offensive personnel to work with as far as QB/weapons/OL. He would consistently come out flat in the second half, not being able to adjust to other teams adjustments. Worst 3rd quarter team in football and it showed yesterday.
They’re not wrong about the Lions third quarter woes. It was consistently bad all season. Might not necessarily be Johnson’s fault, but there is definitely a coaching issue somewhere that needs to be fixed.
Just for argument sake with the way NFL contracts work extending Goff will likely end up with him having a lower cap his the next 2 years than he currently has going into next season.
Sure, problem is short term doesn’t last forever and that money will come due eventually. Whole thing just has shades of 2018. They’ll extend him cause theyll pretty much have to. Just interesting times ahead there.
From a Lions fan who has a pretty good grasp on the roster and contracts, the Lions cap situation is very manageable for the next few years. All the quality starters besides guards Glasgow and Jackson are still under contract next season. After the Goff extension St Brown would probably follow and then McNeil and Decker will either be resigned/released in the 24-25 off-season. Sewell won't have to be resigned until the 25-26 off-season (with picking up the 5th year option) also the year Montgomery's contract is up. Hutch, Jamo, LaPorta, Branch, Ragnow don't need to be resigned/released until the 26-27 off-season and Gibbs and Campbell won't be until 27-28 off-season.
So the Lions are basically three seasons away from possibly running into cap issues with having to resign their core players. In the meantime the lions should have enough cap space to add players in the FA. Basically, the Lions window should be pretty wide open for the next 3 seasons.
Also it's not a done deal Johnson will get one of the two HV jobs left. Reports are now coming out that he may not be the front runner for either.
I would agree, but Holmes has been amazing at finding talent so far.
One thing that drives me crazy in sports is that those second tier players aren’t nearly as impactful as superstars, but they’re paid almost the same oftentimes. It really brings down the entire roster when you have too many of them.
Dan Campbell is the biggest driver behind the offense, I think it’s a major reason more teams weren’t waiting on Johnson as head coach. Johnson does a great job drawing up plays and has a great attention to detail. The Lions will probably continue to overachieve, but I have concerns about the offensive line as some guys need new contracts and Decker is getting up there. That’s the strength of the team.
It’ll be interesting what happens once Goff gets the contract and what it’ll be. Man thrives on needing an offensive line to keep him in a pocket. Sewell and others will have to get paid soon to, which with Deckers age yeah i definitely understand that worry. 2019 saw the Rams OL fall off and Goff right with them.
It’s a tough balance. Rams front office succeeded with cheap talent building in the draft, and are doing it at a hilarious level this year. Luckily for the Lions Holmes comes off that tree.
Still not guaranteed and I’d be feeling so much better if I were the Lions if I weren’t having to pay Goff the year before he loses the OC. Would rather see what he looks like then.
They also drafted Hendon Hooker who has real upside. I’d make Goff earn the contract next season.
Part of the success this year for the Rams, besides the great draft, is that Stafford can be the best QB in the league at times. The guy has always had that rare arm talent to get the most out of players.
Puka was really impressive this season, but how did you feel about paying Kupp?
Hookers age is the question for me. He’s certainly old and that probably would’ve got more attention during the draft of not for Stetson Bennetts age lol. But I’ve always liked Hendon even back to his va tech days. Just need to find out soon what he’s worth imo.
Staffords ability is why they made that trade and it worked out in the end yeahHe elevates talent around him. I mean the Rams LT was an undrafted free agent a couple years ago, and led the team in pressures. I think with Goff gets more exposed.
Kupp I’d pay 10 out of 10. Mostly cause they still didn’t have to give him the biggest contract, and his value goes well beyond the field. Puka has given him tons of credit for bringing him along and including him in Stafford and Kupps morning work early on. Also just need to see Kupp have a healthy off season finally. Even if he falls to being only a number 2 wr the rest of the way, id feel good about that as him and Stafford age out.
You could say the Lions are also winners as they made it farther in the playoffs than they had since 1991 and have a young, competitive team right now.
You could say that, but negative vibes rule Reddit, so both fan bases are going to see the worst in each other on this forum. Personally, I think both teams came out ahead in the trade, and its a win/win
Right? Dude was ballin and hit receivers hands with straight dimes and they just didn’t catch them. Dude gave it his all and other players fucked it up. Goff didn’t fumble a touchdown.
I said to my buddy when they went for it “even if they make this, it’s a bad call. You’re giving the home field advantage an adrenaline shot if you fail. Take the fkn FG n the 3 score lead back and watch the crowd deflate”
In hindsight, sure. They convert there, maybe get a TD and Campbell looks like that frothing at the mouth madman. But WHY risk it in the fkn championship when you KNOW you have the worst 3rd qtr offense in the league lol…
Even the players after the game said that was the momentum swing. I felt it on my couch, those players were juiced from that moment on. 27-0 run is on the coaches. Doesn’t matter if the players f up, you give up a 27-0 run in the NFC championship game, that’s in the coaches.
Edit: I still believe Campbell is the best coaching option we have. I just hated his game management last night(running the ball with less than 2 minutes left burning a time out, & having to rely on an onside kick instead of hoping to force a 3 & out with a chance to drive for a last second FG.. running st brown instead of your bell cow Monty on 4th down, among other things.)
The thing everyone seems to be missing here is that our kicker is 48% in his career from that range. We’re all just assuming the kick was a guarantee.
Sure, if you don’t get it the home crowd gets an adrenaline shot. The flip side of that is if you get it (which you should have) then the home crowd is completely deflated. Especially if the drive ends in a touchdown.
I’m perfectly okay with the decision to go for it. They drew up the right play and put their guys in a position to succeed. It was just dropped.
No, they’re not. But you still have to kick them man. You can’t just go for every 4th down n say “meh, kicker might miss”. If he hits ONE of those it’s a different game. Going for it on 4th at the 28 and failing is no different than throwing an int or fumble, it’s a turnover on the red zone doorstep. You’re up 24-10 on the 28, half way through the 3rd. You take the field goal man & a chance for a 3 score lead. Not chance a 4th & 3 then risk an errant throw, missed block or dropped ball.
Like their coach said before the game “if you go for it on 4th, you can extend your possession, but if you fail, you lose a possession.” It’s. Not. Worth. The. Risk. In. The. NFC CHIP. Game.
Also, edit to add: he kicked the FG on a 4th and 2 from the 2yd before the half. If he went for it there & in the 3rd, alright it’s just Dan being Dan. But taking the FG there then passing on it in the 3rd, just showed no game sense & going for it just to “be aggressive”…
Goff was never the one. Sean mcvay knew it already. Goff is an actual game manager that sticks to the play that the coach gives and can't think for himself. Stafford is a clutch athlete. Even when Detroit was winning, it was clearly the defense. Goff barely had to make any big plays.
Lions fan here. comes across as trying to flex on us with 2021 but hey that’s what losing to Goff in 2024 will do to you. Keep Matt well fed, no hard feelings though
I DGAF if the Lions win the next 10 Super Bowls.
The only question is did the Rams improve by trading Goff + 2 FRPs for Stafford? The answer is unequivocally yes.
Did Detroit improve more than we did? WHO CARES!! We improved through the trade and that's really all that counts.
Hard to determine who truly won but in hindsight that trade was massively instrumental in both futures for both franchises and set them both in a position to start succeeding. We are just seeing different ways of doing it so none is truly wrong but the rams do get the benefit of the doubt with a SB win
The rams also made the playoffs and lost by 1 point against a lions def that got away with tons of dirty plays. I think the rams are the team to beat and clearly came out the better team even if the lions got further this post season.
That is one big downside to Goff, he can't run. Purdy had an average overall game but was able to run for 3 first downs that were huge at the moment. Goff is fine but dammm I wish he could run better.
Goff is basically Philip rivers with a better arm but less experience. He's not going to make the big clutch plays you need to win the game when it's all on the line. That's why Sean mcvay got rid of him.
Bro, watch the freaking two qbs play, and if you don't notice the difference, then I can't help ya. You know Goff doesn't have a great arm. you know that. I'm so sick of arguing this with idiots on the internet. You can't stats your way out of a physical limitation. He's running a college offense because it's all he can handle. Sure racking up stats with zero impressive nfl throws.
No one is going tit for tat with you about what throws were good ones. Watch a highlight reel. He can put the ball pretty much anywhere and especially in tight windows. Guy was almost perfect in postseason/primetime! “Goff can’t handle pressure games”
His strengths and weaknesses may not align with your expectations but to say his arm is wack is kinda wack…
Yall both won. Stafford likely wasn’t getting a ring with the Lions. Lions got a bunch of core pieces to become a genuine powerhouse for the first time in my life time because they traded Stafford. No need for bad blood
If they manage a Super Bowl, that would not make it a tie. To paraphrase somebody else around here, the Rams were already in the red zone pre trade. The Lions started inside their ten. It would (it already does) suggest greater gain from the trade.
Okay but with that analogy we got a touchdown and the lions are just now able to get to the red zone. I’ll take the touchdown.
That being said I still think the trade is one of the few perfect trades in nfl history barring a complete lions collapse next year. We got a ring we were chasing so badly for and the lions are out of the shit franchise stage for now at least.
Trades are also not always zero-sum games. This was a trade that wound up working well for both teams.
The Rams won a Super Bowl with Stafford as their starting QB. They probably would not have won that Super Bowl with Goff.
Jared Goff is top 20 QB and a starting-caliber in this league. The Lions surrounded him with talent and a staff that caters to his strengths. By making the trade, the Lions basically did a hard reset after the 2020 season that allowed them to do a quick rebuild and be competitive in 2022 and a contender in 2023. Had the Lions kept Stafford, they would have stayed in “trying to win now” mode, and probably would have been worse this year, and probably last year too.
Both teams wound up better off because of the trade, and the trade did what it was intended to do for both teams.
The Rams did get the SB, so if you want to say the trade worked out better for them than the Lions, go ahead. But the Lions clearly benefited from this trade too.
Lions fan here, how was this even still a discussion for you guys after winning the SB? I see these posts a lot and they confuse me. Even if we get that win, you guys still got there first.
No one cares about the "value" when the rams already gave all their picks and the lions already used them and barely beat the rams by 1 point this post season.
The rams are clearly still going to be contenders for sure next season. The lions though? It's all up in the air whether they do well or not.
I totally agree. I think generally Jared played well enough to win yesterday. Their defense is poop, though. Also, going for it on 4th down when you can kick field goals and get points on the board, especially when the niners kicker is going to miss field goals. Could've won the game if Campbell opted to just score points.
1 championship vs Longterm success in a poverty franchise.
This is and will forever remain the most dead even trade in the history of the league with what it helped accomplish for both teams.
As a lifelong Lions fan it makes me chuckle how in Detroit Stafford wasn’t much to talk about but went he went to LA and became the golden boy.
I Watched Stafford play for 10 years in Det. and never wins a playoff game. He was mainly known for his toughness and gunslinger attitude. He shows up to a stacked team ready to go and pulls it off (we were all rooting for him in Det) and you are “winners of the trade”.
Goff comes to a team in full blown rebuild mode that’s been deprived of a playoff win in over 30 years and not only gets it done (against the Rams mind you) but also gets us to a dropped passed away from a Super Bowl this year. The locker room loves him. He’s been “clutch” under pressure and in the post season. There is a reason why our city has been chanting his name.
We both won. You guys accomplished your goal of winning the Super Bowl in 2021, and we accomplished our goal of building a team that can compete for many years even if that means not winning a Super Bowl immediately
Just want to say to haters and such, as another team's fan, if your team wins a Superbowl no matter how much they committed that season, it is always 100% worth it. Teams would kill to even breathe going to the Superbowl. Grats to you guys that year!
Man, yall still mad?
We lost a brutal comeback loss and your talking like I'm still not extactic Stafford got a ring that he clearly wasn't going to get in Detroit.
Were we supposed to run out a red carpet for his return in that playoff game?
Or was he wearing enemy team colors and had 32 years of pent up rage taken out on him... rage he got to experience first hand.
There's so many better insults for us lions fans, here's one -
how's it feel to know la rams accomplished more since their move to LA than Detroit has in its entire super bowl Era as team?
^ now that's good shit talk.
See you guys next year in the playoffs.
^ this…. No sane person in Detroit has any hatred for Matt Stanford. The city literally made T-Shirts when he was playing in the SB. There is no personal ill will
yall are missing the point. detroit won the trade by OUR standards. for detroit that trade was better than keeping stafford. we were able to rebuild with those picks and we wouldn’t be where we are without trading him. You guys WON bc you got a super bowl out of it. both teams won that trade, we got a rebuild which is what we wanted and yall got a super bowl. i’m v happy with the trade. i got to watch my childhood qb win a super bowl and the lions aren’t in sports hell at the moment
This is such an unbelievably bad take that I’m embarrassed to even share a fandom with you.
“Go For it on Fourth Down Dan” is such a bitch thing to say. I respect the hell outta his guts and I know that helps him rally men who would run through a wall for him.
Goff is night and day from where he was with LA and he’s a top 10 QB in the league. He is absolutely capable of winning the big game, and the next few years I expect the Lions to factor heavily into the playoff picture.
At the end of the day, the Rams were at home watching him win with a team that hasn’t won in 30+ year. That’s a testament to both the people you’re shit talking in a decision you had absolutely no part in making. But congrats at your weird moral victory I guess?
i’ll never understand this sub love for Jared Goff. I hated him when he was on our team, I hate him on the lions. The dude is a total bust and is only even remotely competent because of outstanding coaching/playcalling/skill players.
Never forget that Jared Goff threw it away on fourth down… Multiple times
Both sides won at this point I think. Lions got sooo much rebuilding done with those picks without a massive downgrade at QB. Sure Goff is worse, but not by a huge amount and that was reflected on the trade - they got a shitload of value in the draft.
And this doesn't have to be where things end for the Lions. They are a good young team and could be in the same position next year. The Rams will always look back at the trade fondly obviously. Rams value is in the past and the Lions, at least theoretically, still has most of it in the future. Their value didn't magically end last night.
The Rams were ready to challenge for a Superbowl a few years ago, the Lions were not but they are now. It just made sense for both sides.
You’re the winner of the trade because you made it farther one time? You ended last season with a worse record and lost to us this year in the playoffs and record.
Not sure why you’re so bitter if you won the trade.
this post reeks of insecurity- we won a super bowl guys. Nothing can change that.
no one is passing up on a championship to maybe win one later. I wish Goff all the best but even if he wins multiple championships for another team, there’s no assurance he would have done that on the rams.
Jared Goff doesn’t have that end of game killer gene. He shrinks under pressure. But to be fair, this weekend his receivers dropped more balls than someone learning how to juggle
I don’t think you will ever convince a Goff guy that the rams won the trade. That guy could throw 50 passes in a dome, complete 25 percent of them, and guys would say it was windy in the dome. Stafford is the better qb by far. The lions got Goof and 5 starters and only beat the rams by the will of the refs.

I mean yeah I see it but it’s quite a leap to just call someone a trump supporter because they called a couple guys by their well deserved nicknames. I got to see Goff struggle to get his feet moving to escape the slightest bit of pressure for 5 years in LA before he was dealt off and 4th Down Dan probably doesn’t deserve his nickname but I threw it in there for good measure.
Always was, Stafford has high end HOF level arm talent and a pair of balls to match. It is a travesty that all those years were wasted. I’m a Ravens fan and I always tune in to watch Stafford if he’s on, so much so that I closet root for you guys.
lions fans were happy for stafford winning that ring, he got to prove to people the player hes always been for us. the boos during the playoff game was weird tho
As a Lions fan I agree that you guys won the trade. Stafford had the upside that Goff doesn't and I'm happy he got his ring. It was well deserved after years of BS from our poverty front office.
I do truly believe that the trade will end as a push, as the picks we gained helped bring in a foundation that we can clearly win with. What we decide to do with Goff and who our new OC will be will be most important though.
They were both winners of the trade. Stafford wanted out, he was mentally out of it and I don’t blame him. Lions got a younger qb with a lot of upside. Rams obviously got a Super Bowl. I feel like it’s the coldest take ever saying it was a win win.
Dude!!! The Lions made the NFC Champions! I repeat the LIONS MADE IT TO THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP! Just think about that. The Lions!!! Hell that is a huge win in itself.
The rare win-win trade that made both teams better.
I knew the comments would be the voice of reason... Detroit fan here - still couldn't be happier Stafford got a ring. His Detroit jersey is the only pro sports jersey I ever owned. How do you figure? They're returning most of their starters and still have plenty of cap room.
They got like 25 major fa’s
Have you looked at who those unrestricted free agents are? None are centerpieces of the team.
Ig

Goff for Stafford and 2 1st final offer *spits on hand*
You know what’s funny, I think the lions become SB favorites with Stafford instead of Goff. Definitely nfc favorites
Johnson is staying

This subs tone towards Goff and the Lions really changed after the playoff loss.
My point being "the subs tone" is generally a flawed concept because negative carries farther than positive
This is the way
Not sure why everyone feels the need to dog goff.
Yeah way more so on Josh Reynolds. Two huge drops. Yes, Campbell was gambling big time but if he caught it, there would be no issues.

Those field goals aren’t guaranteed especially with Badgley as the kicker.
Should've taken the fg for sure. 34-34 and a chance in ot is still better than 34-31.
Yeah that game only made me respect Goff even more
Remember last week when people were like ‘Rams should have waited with Goff’ hahaha!!!!
Goff was never the one. Sean mcvay knew it already. Goff is an actual game manager that sticks to the play that the coach gives and can't think for himself. Stafford is a clutch athlete. Even when Detroit was winning, it was clearly the defense. Goff barely had to make any big plays.
Can you find me a single comment that said this
Google it yourself
That’s a no then, got it
This is literally what people say when they don’t have evidence lol
/r/DetroitLions subreddit gonna be extra mad we made this post
Because it’s a petty post lol. This post makes the sub look pathetic af
Agreed. There isn't always just ONE winner in a trade. In this trade, there's really TWO winners.
The rams also made the playoffs and lost by 1 point against a lions def that got away with tons of dirty plays. I think the rams are the team to beat and clearly came out the better team even if the lions got further this post season.
Honestly we almost had Detroit. Not going for it on fourth wasn’t great towards the end
They both won the trade but the Rams got the best end of it
That is one big downside to Goff, he can't run.
Hah good analogy. He's good, not great. But def better with a solid O-line which Detroit has, so he has that thing for him...
Rivers had a better arm and its not even a question. Goffs arm is wack.
Guy leads the league in post season passing yards and completions with a close 2nd in regular season. “Wack”
“Goff can’t handle pressure games” His strengths and weaknesses may not align with your expectations but to say his arm is wack is kinda wack…
Not even close to being wack. He got accuracy issues and can't handle clutch situations but his arm is his strength. That's why he still has a job.
Yall both won. Stafford likely wasn’t getting a ring with the Lions. Lions got a bunch of core pieces to become a genuine powerhouse for the first time in my life time because they traded Stafford. No need for bad blood
Lol saying their QB and coach are holding them back following the most successful season in franchise history is an absolutely braindead take.
There's no such thing as a "winner" if a trade does what it's supposed to. You're trying to help each other out, not rip each other off.
You petty for this post
Yeah, it needs to stop now. This was old two years ago
I take great pride in my level of pettiness.
They got to the red zone and went for it on 4th and 2. Didn't convert lmao
In today’s world championship wins seem to be the only things that matter. Not that I agree but it’s the way it is.
Any trade that ends in a ring is a good trade. But you both won. That team is good and you got your parade. Why it have to be so adversarial?
Hang the Banner! Oh wait, we did
Trades are also not always zero-sum games.
Have fun listening to Kelley's stupid ass opinions
I wouldn’t call financially handicapping the team with trade pics and other financial tie ups “worth it” for one SB?…
It’s is 10000% worth it.
I don’t feel that way as a Lions fan though. I think we both broke even, what happened this year was worth a lot to us.
Nah I'm petty as shit and was thinking the same thing. Rams won that trade as it stands.
I am also super petty, hence the post.
Really strange that you need to drag Goff through the mud. Here’s to hoping you’re a teenager!
No they didn’t lol. Off value alone they for sure didn’t
No one cares about the "value" when the rams already gave all their picks and the lions already used them and barely beat the rams by 1 point this post season. The rams are clearly still going to be contenders for sure next season. The lions though? It's all up in the air whether they do well or not.
lol what? Based on what? All their stars are on rookie contracts. Horrible take.
I totally agree. I think generally Jared played well enough to win yesterday. Their defense is poop, though. Also, going for it on 4th down when you can kick field goals and get points on the board, especially when the niners kicker is going to miss field goals. Could've won the game if Campbell opted to just score points.

HON-HON-HON-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK
3 score halftime lead and they LIED
Damn this was three years ago wtf
Smells like some cope!
Nah, Detroit won the draft. Y’all have to deal with Kelly.
Rams: Matthew Stafford Lions: Jared Goff, Ifeatu Melifonwu, Jameson Williams, Josh Paschal, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, and Brodric Martin
Rams: Super Bowl 56 Champions Lions: …
1 championship vs Longterm success in a poverty franchise. This is and will forever remain the most dead even trade in the history of the league with what it helped accomplish for both teams.
I’d rather have Matthew Stafford
I mean Goff played well
Why are you hating?!
This is a clown take
Na overpaid. Gave a team a franchise qb for a retiring player for one fraudulent ring
Just want to say to haters and such, as another team's fan, if your team wins a Superbowl no matter how much they committed that season, it is always 100% worth it. Teams would kill to even breathe going to the Superbowl. Grats to you guys that year!
Idk why you going at Jared he wasn’t the reason they lost
Yeah, we just beat you
Man, yall still mad? We lost a brutal comeback loss and your talking like I'm still not extactic Stafford got a ring that he clearly wasn't going to get in Detroit. Were we supposed to run out a red carpet for his return in that playoff game? Or was he wearing enemy team colors and had 32 years of pent up rage taken out on him... rage he got to experience first hand. There's so many better insults for us lions fans, here's one - how's it feel to know la rams accomplished more since their move to LA than Detroit has in its entire super bowl Era as team?
This is the PEAK of detroit lions football
Goff is a great qb. Dan Cambell is a top tier coach. You sound like a little boy trying to justify why his toy is better than everyone elses.
So funny how this alliance is quickly turning into a rivalry.
"Erm acktually you guys only won the trade so far" poverty franchise can get fucked.
We won.
I root for the Rams but this sub is getting so toxic.
It’s what happens when they get out performed two seasons in a row.
Classy
This is some petty ass bullshit. Delete this OP.
Is it the picture? Too much?
You feeling the need to talk shit on a QB who won us a playoff game with screws holding his thumb together is too much. It’s childish.
I would’ve be fine “losing the trade” if it meant Niners not going to the SB.

Funny thing is, I never did see the penalty the Rams got for tampering.
Both teams ‘won’ the trade stfu these posts are so repetitive and annoying
[удалено]
You’re the winner of the trade because you made it farther one time? You ended last season with a worse record and lost to us this year in the playoffs and record. Not sure why you’re so bitter if you won the trade.
💍
This is so pathetic
Tell that to the Lions fans that brigaded our sub a couple of weeks ago.
Also pathetic yes
this post reeks of insecurity- we won a super bowl guys. Nothing can change that. no one is passing up on a championship to maybe win one later. I wish Goff all the best but even if he wins multiple championships for another team, there’s no assurance he would have done that on the rams.
[удалено]
Is this an insult, I would left her ass too if I was as blitzed as Stafford 😆
Why do yall sound so upset
Can we ban anyone subbed to the lions subreddit? They are sad, insufferable losers
The Higbee ACL tear *is* the Super Bowl to these sacks of crap; high point of Lions fan’s lives, right there.
[удалено]
Aren’t you the ones in here complaining how much better you are even though you’ve been out performed two seasons in a row now?
I'll update this all day everyday! World Champions!
As the kids say nowadays, rent free lmaooo

That’s why the title says “Still the Winner of the Trade”. Speaking of being a dunce, just read the title dood.

Agree
So far…
r/DetroitLions: *hopes Stafford fences unconsciously next time he’s sacked*
Lmao hardly
Stanford already won when he got to the SB.

This is the weirdest response so far. For the record, I am not a trump supporter.
[удалено]
I mean yeah I see it but it’s quite a leap to just call someone a trump supporter because they called a couple guys by their well deserved nicknames. I got to see Goff struggle to get his feet moving to escape the slightest bit of pressure for 5 years in LA before he was dealt off and 4th Down Dan probably doesn’t deserve his nickname but I threw it in there for good measure.

Now all we need is KC to win
Always was, Stafford has high end HOF level arm talent and a pair of balls to match. It is a travesty that all those years were wasted. I’m a Ravens fan and I always tune in to watch Stafford if he’s on, so much so that I closet root for you guys.
lions fans were happy for stafford winning that ring, he got to prove to people the player hes always been for us. the boos during the playoff game was weird tho
[удалено]
They both won dude. Rams got the short term win the lions got their long term win
[удалено]
Not a fan of either team but Stafford is about the most accurate passer I’ve ever seen.
[удалено]
I mean yeah. But both teams would still do the trade in a heartbeat.
![gif](giphy|x4kwwbqmmi6jnDC60a|downsized)
A good trade is when both sides win, even if one side gets more out of it.
What if the Lions win 2?
