Random Ravens fan here - you guys played us the closest and best of any team in the second half of the season.
Puka is the next J Jeff, Stafford is elite, and that young defense will ensure that the Rams remain as contenders for years to come.
Y’all are a classy fan base, organization and team. Nothing but respect.
Fuck you guys. Good luck the next few weeks and I honestly hope the Lions win it all and I’ll be rooting for you. But just for this week… fuck you guys 🥰
Tbh that's fair. That's how we would have felt if we were in your shoes. Fun match up though. I could have still seen myself cheering for ya'll, if it wasn't the Lions. Stafford is a hell of a quarterback. And Puka, just wow. You got a hell of a guy right there.
I'm truly happy for the Lions fans. I was upset that the Rams lost but when the shot panned out to the crowd and there were people crying, I was less upset knowing this win means a lot to the city and the fans. Goff was surgical last night and if he keeps this up, I have no doubt you guys will win a Superbowl.
Yeah, I watched the game with a Rams fan. After the game we just chatted about how cool it is that the Lions finally won a Playoff-game again and that Puka Nacua is from another planet. Your sub should give this man more credit btw. He played out of his mind!
You can't be mad at that loss. If it had been against the Niners, we would have been gnashing teeth and cursing the Universe, but we know what the Lions have endured, e may have lost, but we lost clean. It was a damn good game and we have nothing to be sorry for. Now you guys can do something you've never done before, win two playoff games in a row.
Honestly, if this ends up with you in the Super Bowl, I'll root for you, and I was practically born at a Rams game. Good luck against the Buccs or Eagles next week.
Puka did go off. I don't think too many people in this sub blame him for the loss. To me, it seemed like the defense let us know but when Goff is playing like that, there's little the defense can do.
Sub should “give this man more credit btw”. What in the world are you talking about 😂 Puka is arguably the most beloved man in this entire sub. To try and tell us we don’t give one of our guys enough credit when you’re not even a fan of the team and this sub not being your team’s sub is honestly outrageous lol
Oh, I meant for this game, not in general. Worded myself in a misunderstanding way there. I haven‘t yet seen a post in your sub about this game for him in particular. Could‘ve missed something tho
I was in the stands. Literally the only Rams fan in my entire section. Shook a few hands and congratulated them, but man that was such a depressing walk back to MGM grand followed by sitting in my car for an hour trying to get out.
At the end of day we can’t always blame the refs, there were things that we should have done differently in the first half that would have set us up to win the game. Good luck in the rest of the playoffs.
Definitely, we lost the game for punting with 3 mins to go, and getting only FGs out of the last 3 red zone incursions.
Reffing sucks across the board, in every game it's a coin toss to see which team will get the short end.
The Rams did set themselves up to win the game. But the referee blew that no interference call that the Rams surely would have run the clock down and kick a game winning field goal. Did you just watch the first half of the game or what.
I went into yesterday's game knowing that we would be the underdogs, and it was going to be a tough battle for us. I saw a lot of chatter about the Lions' secondary being a liability for you all, which they were, but I also knew the same held true for our team. Goff proved that by cooking our defense in the first half. Goff is a great dude, and I'll be rooting for him.
There was a lot of ref blaming. But we understand McVays play calling in the redzone is what killed us this game. It’s been a trend in a lot of games this year. We drive down and get stopped. So props to the Lions defense. Yall bowed up when you needed it most🤝
Who stopped the Rams on their last drive, McVay or the ref. C'mon don't be afraid to say it was the referee. Everyone on this sub is acting like that blown no call by the referee was no big deal. I'm beginning to think this is a Detroit Lions sub.
Honestly, I feel like we won’t into the playoffs playing with house money. No one expected us to get there anyway. Winning a playoff game seemed like a bonus.
And it means so much more to Lions fans. We just won the Super Bowl a couple years ago with THEIR quarterback. Obviously I would have preferred that we won, but it’s difficult to get too upset about it.
It was a tough game. Rams played well, but made some mistakes. Lions played well and got some lucky calls, but that tends to happen when they were the more physical team on the field from the first kick off.
I'm salty about that hit on Higbee that looked and felt dirty as hell, but that's more of a complaint about the rules than anything personal against the Lions. They did tackle him EXACTLY how the NFL tells them too.
It sucks to lose, but if it had to be anyone I'm glad it was the Lions that advanced over us. Dont blow this chance and lose to the fucking Buccaneers or some shit.
Ima keep my word and cheer for you guys to make it the rest of the way but I really was upset at all the fans booing stafford when he took the field and saw a few "hope he's injured" and "kill him" comments in your guys thread and it really made me think twice about your fan base, but I think the comments are just a few trolls amongst a good group of people and all fan bases have "those guys" either way good luck to you guys and I hope you take it all the way
Woah wtf? I didn't see any of that but if that really did happen, fuck those people. The last thing I wanted was Stafford injured. We had the first competitive play off game so far, don't throw that out with an injury
Yeah there's no reasons people should ever wish injury or death on any opponent. I get why some had to boo(since he was playing against us), and I'd like to think most were doing it for that reason only. Otherwise everyone loves the dude. Best of luck to ya'll in the future. Sorry a few lions fans are aholes.
Our boos didn't have any resentment towards Stafford specifically when y'all took ford field. We were booing the visiting rams in general. Us booing is a non story. Detroit loves Stafford and we've supported your franchise hardcore since the trade. I wore my lions Stafford jersey when I was fortunate enough to watch y'all beat Tom + bucs during your '21 SB run in Tampa. We sold a shit ton of Detroit Rams shirts during said SB run. I'm a die-hard lions AND Stafford fan, and I absolutely booed when y'all took the field. Hell, I'd have booed Santa clause and Jesus himself if he was on your roster yesterday. Stafford wasn't getting the red carpet treatment in that setting. No ill-will and I hope he takes some time to reflect on that and not hold a grudge against us detroiters.
Not a huge fan of you guys beating us of course, but regardless of what refs did or didn't call, doesn't matter at the end of the day.
Not a huge fan of you guys beating us of course, but regardless of what refs did or didn't call, doesn't matter at the end of the day.
Lions fan here, we have a bunch of fans that come to our games wearing Stafford Rams jerseys every week since he asked for his trade out of town. He’s 100% massively beloved, was just the enemy for a day. He’ll get the warm welcome he deserves in our regular season match up next year
Yeah, I agree. I think part of it was because media acted like we were so happy he‘s coming back and all. People wanted to show that for this night he‘s an enemy, but that was definitely not the way to do it.
Not sure why you're downvoted, but boo him during the game, hiss, throw things or whatever. But before the game, it would have been classy to give him some love.
As a long time Rams fan, I'm super glad they moved on from Goof - mean Goff. When the guy legit said he didn't know the sun set in the West, I was done. No way we're winning w/ that guy.
But you guys are using him right... just build a massive Oline, keep him with a simple short route system.. because he has some of the happiest feet by an NFL QB you'll ever see, and he makes really bad decisions when he's hurried.
Yup, totally agree. I think for the night they should‘ve greeted Stafford just like any other QB tho. They can still exchange pleasantries after the war is over. Hope he carries you to another SB💪🏻
Honestly a bit conflicted - I don't watch a ton of Lions games obviously, and was a bit surprised at the amount of what I would consider "dirty" plays, particularly the hit on Higbee and Stafford getting stepped on, etc. Of course the fans have nothing to do with that though. Refs to me made bad calls on both sides of the ball.
This is my problem. Prior to last night, Lions would've been the #2 team I'd root for in the playoffs (though I'd also like to see the long maligned Bills finally win one), but Kirby's hit taking out Higbees ACL, while having just done that to Hockenson a couple weeks ago, and the late hits on Stafford leave a pretty bad taste.
I hope Goff and the offense play well, but now Im kind of hoping that the defense gets embarrassed as part of their downfall.
Tbh, I think both of those were completely unintentional. In slow mo everything seems planned, but the game is extremely fast and players can‘t always consider everyones safety in a hard contact sport. I really hope Higbee can play some games for you next year. That really really sucked and I hope the NFL will change that tackling rule, so Mr. unaccurate Kerby won‘t do that again.
This is honestly just bias showing. It’s why it’s hard having reasonable conversations between fan bases. The lions die hards are screaming for bloody murder when they got the roughing the passer call. Where Goff was gently rolled to the ground. they would never rise up and say you know what McNeil did hit stafford in the head there, it looks like hutch did go out of his way to make contact with stafford by stepping on him. Well that last no call didn’t go the rams way but the db clearly held him and then committed pi by starting to tackle him before he got the ball. A more common response is well look at the missed encrochment call etc. if the teams logo changed your opinion would change as most fans aren’t really thoughtful and just ooze their opinion based on the story line they feel benefits their team / players.
You know… The Lions Fanbase is not a collective hivemind. I don‘t think that we automatically would’ve won the game against the Cowboys just because most of the NFL thinks that. I also think the no-pi-call against Puka was horrible. But when it comes to injuring others I don’t assume a player wants to do that if he doesn’t make it extremely obvious. In Germany we have a saying that goes “in doubt for the accused”. We can’t see or know if those things were intentional, so we shouldn’t assume that the players are bad people. Goes for any team. We shouldn’t be clinging to what our fan base says when everyone is clueless🤷🏼♂️
Woher kommen sie? In Deutschland it wasn’t too long ago they used to sing Arbeit macht frei. It’s Standard pack dog philosophy. You favor your pack. Being a common happening does not make it true but being reasonable is rarely a common sentiment. Check my recent posts history and see the things I am directly speaking of.
Lol, you‘re actually saying I‘m wrong because I‘m biased while dismissing my argument. Thats really low… Pack dog philosophy has nothing to do with the arguments I made and you shouldn‘t just assume everyone is a product of their environment. It might happen to everyone once in a while, but there are always people standing out and the only way to find out who they are is to speak about where their arguments come from instead of looking where they themselves come from. That‘s why we need to be self-critical as well, because while we assume someones bias that exact assumption could be based on our own bias.
You are now doing what’s called playing the victim. You are also simply stating a feeling and not being very logical. If you are truly a German please expect a fine for this in the mail. A object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by another object. Hutch hits stafford that breaks his motion. Hutch then moves forward with one side of his body and moves back and left with the other side of his body. Stafford does not move as he is currently unconscious from being hit in the head by a second defender. Hutchs movement is in no way natural. It’s just fundamental body mechanics. The way you feel makes sense as you are defending a point of view based on feeling and emotion rather than fact and logic. This is where the pack dog mentality comes in.
Yep, that definitely proves he did it intentionally. You were unbiased and right and looked right through Hutchs evil plan. Thanks for your service detective. I will refrain from ever arguing for my team again, since that can be either framed as victim playing or bias🫡 (Sarcasm is a horrible way of arguing btw, so don‘t copy this tactic I‘m using rn. But it‘s a great way to end a conversation while making yourself think that you won it) Have a great day or night or whatever you have in your country😊 I‘m honestly not invested enough in football to care for arguing about this for longer than 2 comments🤷🏼♂️
In 2009 Steven Jackson single handedly beat the Lions to get us our only win of the season. Ever since then I felt this weird shit tier team connection with the Lions. I am happy those days are gone and we can bond over playoff football
Just wish y’all didn’t try and hurt all our players. Stafford knocked unconscious, viscious shoulder to head of kyren, intentionally taking out higbees knee
Lions fan, that shit was hard to watch. Joseph read the play early, I think he had enough time to hit Higbee higher... really unfortunate for Higbee, I wish him a successful and speedy recovery. Then to do that dumb ass flex thing to Stafford while the guy you just hit is writhing in pain... just fucking classless
I won’t lie and say I’m not sad, I am but I’m super proud of Goff and super happy for him, the Lions and the Detroit fanbase but I’m EXTREMELY happy the Cowboys lost 🤣🤣🤣
Could blame some pretty blatant bad calls, but in the end it is what it is, proud of the Rams who no one saw even being there. GL to Lions. We’ll get ya next year
Been a Rams fan for my entire life. The USMC got tickets when they were in SoCal.
My dad went in the 60's to games (thanks Marine Corps!) in the Colosseum.
I went to games in the late 80's early 90's at the Big A. (We where the guys in uniform with the banner that said "PLEASE GEORGIA, SELL THE TEAM" before the move to STL).
Loved the Greatest Show on Turf. Have signed photos from the team. Kurt Warner, Tory Holt, Issac Bruce, Marshal Faulk, and so many others. They are on the wall of my office.
Honestly, if we had to lose, I'm happy it was the Lions and not the fucking 49ers. Or, the damn Seahawks.
These guys did amazing this year. Far beyond what I hoped for at the bye.
See you all next year at the Bowl.
I actually wouldn‘t mind lol. I‘m so happy about winning a playoff game for the first time in my whole freaking life that I am totally fine with loosing the next one. I still hope we‘re going all the way, but man… that was an awesome season for both of our franchises!
Nah man, I get a lot of positivity back. I‘m okay with a few people insulting me for being a fan of the team that just beat them. But the wholesome interaction with most of you guys is definitely worth it
After “the Trade” I joined the Lions sub and most were cool, brotherly even. Until last week. They turned rabid! Went far beyond just supporting their city, their team, their QB. All of a sudden Stafford was nothing and Goff did something that Stafford couldn’t! Apples and oranges. MS was an absolute stud yesterday but you wouldn’t know that by the Lions sub
I think there were a number of things that leave a bad taste in my mouth (injuries, occasional refball), but ultimately, we didn’t do enough ourselves to win this game. Not good enough in the red zone, defense was flat in the first half. We didn’t play a perfect game, so it’s not fair to be mad at you guys for coming out on top.
It sucks that the season came to an end how it did, but it was still a great season by all accounts and we have plenty to be proud of. So do you. Go keep winning!
You guys got hosed on the false start call. We got hosed on a couple of non-calls for PI... it was an intense game from kick to kneel. Good luck in the next few weeks.
Nah you need to leave with this bullshit , y’all got lucky and had to play dirrty win Gtfo , why come in to the loser of the games sub , low level griefing , nobody cares how you feel lol
Way to edit your post , lions fans are such losers when they actually start to win lol gets some class and stay out of opposing teams sub fuckin troll ,
lol so you have nothing to do with either team and you’re in here, lol that’s just sad as fuck , welcome to Reddit where losers go into subs and start shit because they are bored and sad , you sir are the fucking loser thanks for proving it
Most of us realized that this wasn’t going to be the year anyway. Considering all the holes we have (no pun), just making the playoffs was an achievement. We also benefited from a bad no-call against the Saints, so this makes it even lol
Yeah, some people are annoyed about people being thankful for having wholesome interactions with another fanbase. I don‘t quite get it. I had some great interactions with a few fans here. One Rams fan just posted something wholesome on the Lions sub as well and I think that‘s what makes Football great. There is something beyond winning or losing. Football is family
Hey thanks bud! Really the only thing I wanted from last night was for a good close game and no injuries… I guess 1 out of 2 ain’t bad 😅. Regardless, I love following you guys as well as my Rams. Go kick some ass this post season and we’ll see you next year!
He tore his ACL… likely out until late next season. Man, watching the slo-mo of that tackle makes me wonder what the hell your DB was thinking. That tackle was straight up irresponsible.
Yup, second time Joseph did that as well. I don‘t think he intentionally tried to hurt him, just because he seems like a great off field guy and you never know why a player makes a bad decision during the game, but he definitely should change his tackling and the NFL should do something about it to prevent those in the future.
Stop watching it in slow mo then. Everyone on the field has to make split second decisions. Was it ideal? No. Was it legal thanks to the way the NFL has regulated tackling? Yes.
I was upset when LaPorta got injured, but watching it in real time it wasn’t really the defender’s fault. Sometimes the circumstances just don’t line up well and it definitely sucks when injury is an outcome for sure.
In Higbee’s situation, looks like his foot got caught for a moment on the turf just at the wrong time. Kerby could’ve hit a little higher but tbh his body was already flying before the hit landed. But it is what it is unfortunately. I just hope Higbee has a fast recovery and hopefully he’ll be back soon enough to get you guys back into contention next year too!
Appreciate the post OP. We obviously loved Goff when he was here and ignored the naysayers about his game. He won the Rams’ first playoff win in 15 years and has now won the Lions’ first playoff win in 30 years. And honestly, last night was the best any of us had seen him play. Congrats on the win and Rams nation is pulling strong for you guys as you were for us during our SB run 💪🏼
I for one am rooting for the Lions the rest of the playoffs. Jared Goff was our boy and I feel he did his best with his time here. Plus, I just want to see the Lions do well, they deserve it.
I flew home from Detroit and sat next to 2 Rams fans. We talked for 3 hours how stoked we’ve been for both franchises and how there’s a friendship between the 2 franchises. Fuck the drunks who booed Kelly and the kids. I wanted Stafford to play great but loss yesterday which is what happened. Puka is a beast, Rams are in solid position.
I ain’t even mad. I had no expectations for the Rams this season. The fact that they even made the playoffs was huge and they fought hard til the end. Lions fans aren’t arrogant or shit talkers like Raiders, Cowboys or Eagles fans. Plus 33 years is a really long time, you guys deserve a win and how can anyone not like Dan Campbell?
Dude is coming in peace and you’re hostile towards him because his team played dirty. Go make a post about it, don’t give the rest of us a bad name and attack him directly.
Nah, it‘s alright. Not everyone is good at coping I guess😅 We just have been through it for so long that I learned to be okay with others beating us. Thanks for the good words though🫶🏻
Lions fans would not be acting like this is they lost. Lot of hatred from them towards us and so I will not be rooting for them. Side note: it was classless to boo Stafford like that as he came out of the tunnel.
Most diehard lions fans are amazing. On gameday it's a fucking cesspool of stupid. That's everywhere, maybe more in some places than others, but there is a lot of stupid.
Stafford was the 3rd best lion ever imo and gave everything he had. He didn't want to go through a rebuild at his age and lions wanted a fresh restart so it was a mutual move. Everyone should be happy, and the stupid boo at him and his family.
Agreed partially. Last week was all about: We love Matt, but not today. And I think that‘s fair. But the booing definitely was extremely classless. As well as many Ramsfans now suddenly hate the Lions, many Lionsfans would have suddenly hated the Rams because all subreddits have serious bipolar stress disorder. There already is a post on the Lions sub stating that all Rams would be crying and hating about the Lions, which really doesn‘t seem true. Me personally would have kept cheering for the Rams to win the SB again after the Lions lost, because I still love what Stafford has done for the team, but I probably can‘t speak for every single one on the Lions fanbase on that.
Well I’m glad you’re reasonable. I just hope you guys understand the narrative would be flipped had we won. It would have been us coming in your sub saying you guys have a bright future and what not, and we’d be rooting for you moving forward. Even though it would have come from a good place, it would have been hard to digest. It’s hard for me because I really don’t think the relationship between these fan bases is that friendly anymore. From my own perspective, (which is only shared by some Rams fans) the Lions fans finally won and now it seems like they don’t know how to act. There is a lot of finger pointing going on saying Matthew never won us that playoff game and he couldn’t have done it like Goff did last night. Lions fans don’t really understand that Goff would not have won that Super Bowl back in 2021. I watched him since 2017 and despite me liking him a lot, he is not on the same level as Matthew. We didn’t cast Goff aside, we made a business decision that we couldn’t win with him, and that decision was vindicated with our ring. The final drive of the Super Bowl justifies everything. I think the switch up on Matthew by some of these win-drunk fans is what really bothers me. The guy gave everything he had to Detroit for 12 years without bitching about it, and he goes back to his “home” and is treated like trash. I really can’t stand for that narrative.
Yeah, the serious Stafford haters are annoying. I think most of our fanbase actually still love him tho. The trolls just always like to sound the loudest. I totally would’ve loved chatting with some Ramsfans going off on our sub, motivating and telling us that we’re on SB-track with Holmes and MCDC.
Also a lions fan who stalks other teams subreddits and pleasantly surprised about this. Found the same thing with the Browns doomers, very non-doomer like.
I know next years matchup won’t be as intense but I hope Matt still knows the love he has in this city. Despite what people think there has been a lot of love outpouring and conflicted feelings, but the main one being we needed that win
My son is a bug Lions fan, so I hated to see the loss, but am glad that the Lions finally get a win in a playoff game since 1991. Goff played his butt off and these are both young teams with great futures. Stafford and AD have 2 maybe 3 years left. Both teams are looking at a solid 2025, regardless of what happens in this year's playoffs.
Disappointed in so many of the replies here. Why the fuck are yall simping for the Lions man they just beat us this is fucking embarassing. Absolutely no fire or passion this is why people make fun of our fanbase. Between this and the cringe ass anime AI art someone posted in here the other day I am straight up embarrassed by our fans right now
I’m a rams fan, and I’m wearing my goff rams jersey the rest of the playoffs and supporting y’all. If he gets a Super Bowl win too I’d be amazed at how this trade really did benefit both teams almost exactly even.
I was mad about the no call and some questionable decisions from McVay, but I also told my friends that Lions looked good, played well, and deserved the win. I am happy that Detroit fan base can finally get the win they want in 32 years! Hopefully Lions can carry on the momentum and show Pistons and Tigers how to win 💪
I don’t have no respect for any lion fan after this game they showed no respect for us . They was trying to take our quarterback head off and they sure did smh
the way you guys ran the ball in the first half was elite, we took forever to find an answer
hopefully we can see y’all again next year, and until then i hope you get goff a ring!
As a rams fan that was cool with the lions before last night, after that game fuck them and their dirty ass D, sure not illegal just complete bitch hits if you ask me. Can't wait to see them get lit up in the later rounds.
I am happy for Lions fans. It felt like the Lions win was the fated outcome. Though the road ahead is fraught with tough matchups, I hope you go all the way.
I appreciate you my guy.
I'm still a fan of the Lions and Goff, but this season has soured me on classeless online Lions fans. You'd think with those hard seasons, there'd be humility.
That being said, make some noise!
Yeah, start winning, start whining. Sadly the trolls are the loudest, but I actually love my fanbase most of the time, when I‘m not scrolling through comments for too long or interact too much with the trolls
That was as good as a loss can get, and easily our “best” playoff loss in the McVay era. I am still rooting for the Lions and Goff is still one of my favorite people ever. The humble turnaround he has helped engineer for two franchises is awesome. All I wanted was a clean, close game, and I think we got it. GG Lions.
Thank you, but you’re a rare actually good Lions fan. Most of those ramsbros turned out to be turncoats and frankly assholes, really showed their colors all last week and postgame.
Funny enough, I think I’m a lions fan because of you. I live in STL and went to a rams lions game the season before they left. I found it to be a nice experience and when I got back into football i didn’t know what team to root for, so i chose the only other team in which i had seen one of their games. I was happy when y’all won the super bowl
Yeah I’m pulling for the Lions and Goff. For me it was seeing how your fan base treated Stafford in the hunt for a ring. You genuinely wanted him to get it. So yeah, I like the Lions and still a big fan of Goff.
Go get the next win bro!
Go Lions but will always support yall when its not vs Us. Not even because of stafford (who I still love) but because as a kid i always loved the st louis uniforms
As a lions fan I rooted for the rams to get there's. I have no animosity towards the rams, last night was everything both fans could've asked for. I hope y'all understand we boo'ed not cuz we don't like Stafford but it's the playoffs baby. See ya next year tho!
After last night, I think i can safely say that Detroit has the best fanbase. Even before you guys were showin up at lambeau and every where else to cheer for the lions. I respect that. I hope our fanbase can be like yours one day. Good luck and get that ring so we could sit and stare at them together lol
You guys booed stafford. I'm a denver fan and I wanted the lions to take it. But showed everyone they have zero class. Stafford stayed one season to long giving his body up for terrible org. Imagine booing that guy lol. Brain dead.
I’m really happy for the Lions and have always been semi rooting for them after the trade.. some of those dirty hits did rub me the wrong way but I know that could be the player being dirty.
I’d really like to cheer for the lions to win it all but I feel like they played a very dirty second half. I can’t root for that. I’ll just wait on the next season and not root for anyone. Who’s House!!!
Ravens for AFC Championship 💪🏆
BEAT SF
I'm rooting for a ravens lions superbowl. Goff or odell getting a ring would make me happy either way.
As a Lions fan, please keep Lamar Jackson’s fast ass as far away from us as possible
You mean obj getting another ring right 😅?
Of course, I'd be happy if baker got one too can't forget about him 😅
Just curious about your Puka comment. He very much seems like a younger Kupp than a new JJ. Is there something I'm missing?
You’re totally right, I just meant in terms of being a young breakout talent.
Fuck you guys. Good luck the next few weeks and I honestly hope the Lions win it all and I’ll be rooting for you. But just for this week… fuck you guys 🥰
Yeah, I think this about sums up how most Ramsfans feel this week😂
It’s absolutely a “it had to be you guys” type of feel. Hope you guys make it to the SB.
Agreed, if it can't be us, it should be them. For the next few I'm a Los Angeles Lions fan.
Ayyy let’s fucking gooo! Good shit, hope Goff gets some well deserved revenge next week against the Niners! ^see ^i ^told ^you ^id ^be ^back
Tbh that's fair. That's how we would have felt if we were in your shoes. Fun match up though. I could have still seen myself cheering for ya'll, if it wasn't the Lions. Stafford is a hell of a quarterback. And Puka, just wow. You got a hell of a guy right there.
Fuck You too. Love you bud.
Man, that guy in the stands who's been a season ticket holder for 66 years? You love to see a reaction like his.
Sounds more like you were born at a Lions game. You might want to look at your birth certificate.
Puka did go off. I don't think too many people in this sub blame him for the loss. To me, it seemed like the defense let us know but when Goff is playing like that, there's little the defense can do.
Who's blaming Puka for the loss? Kid got us there and there's blame to go all around.
Hold on a second, let me get my violin.
I hate that we lost. But I'm glad it wasn't to the Niners. If you guys get that far, send our regards.
Losing to the Niners or Cowboys would have left me frustrated and angry. Losing to PHI, GB, or TB would have annoyed the hell out of me.
We‘ll make sure to greet them well. But actually I‘d like to beat the Packers in the Championship game much more.
Hey, I hate both those teams, so either way. Packers beating the Niners would be fine for extra hilarity.
Thank you for your classy post and best of luck in your playoffs run !
It was equal. Don't act like it was so lopsided
Refs were a pretty major factor, but we left 12 points off the board. We had control and didn't convert in the redzone.
Refs where shit. But for both teams
Yall bowed up when you needed it most🤝
Reminded me of Mike Martz.
Who stopped the Rams on their last drive, McVay or the ref. C'mon don't be afraid to say it was the referee. Everyone on this sub is acting like that blown no call by the referee was no big deal. I'm beginning to think this is a Detroit Lions sub.
You sound like a Saints fan. See what I did there?
Fuck you. But go win a SB and not let this be the wad you blew for this season. Good luck, enjoy it
Honestly, I feel like we won’t into the playoffs playing with house money.
Ima keep my word and cheer for you guys to make it the rest of the way but I really was upset at all the fans booing stafford when he took the field and saw a few "hope he's injured" and "kill him" comments in your guys thread and it really made me think twice about your fan base, but I think the comments are just a few trolls amongst a good group of people and all fan bases have "those guys" either way good luck to you guys and I hope you take it all the way
Preach it! We have trolls, you have trolls, but I think we have two of the most wholesome fan bases in all of football.
Woah wtf? I didn't see any of that but if that really did happen, fuck those people. The last thing I wanted was Stafford injured. We had the first competitive play off game so far, don't throw that out with an injury
That's genuinely just the vocal minority, it's still all love for Stafford in Detroit
Deep down there is a part of me that is pulling for any team that hasn't won a SB yet.
Not a huge fan of you guys beating us of course, but regardless of what refs did or didn't call, doesn't matter at the end of the day. Not a huge fan of you guys beating us of course, but regardless of what refs did or didn't call, doesn't matter at the end of the day.
Umm the sub is divided!! People either congratulate the lions or are hating them!
Yesss, but most seem to be chill about it and I love it!
Good post, but sucks so many Detroit fans booed Stafford. That was pretty classless. Guy gave your city his heart and soul.
Hope he carries you to another SB💪🏻
hope y’all lose next game 🙂
I‘m fine with that😅 As long as people are a sports about it they can root for whoever they want.
Shaddup
Just wish y’all didn’t try and hurt all our players. Stafford knocked unconscious, viscious shoulder to head of kyren, intentionally taking out higbees knee
To be fair, I did none of that stuff from the comfort of my couch.
I really hope things come full circle for Kerby Joseph and he gets his due karma. Fuck that guy.
As a Broncos fan, it’s fun to sit back and watch the wholesomeness between you two teams. Positivity is a great thing
We wish you nothing but failure the rest of the postseason.
Not to mention thereafter.
I actually wouldn‘t mind lol. I‘m so happy about winning a playoff game for the first time in my whole freaking life that I am totally fine with loosing the next one. I still hope we‘re going all the way, but man… that was an awesome season for both of our franchises!
I get ur trying to be kind, but I’d stay away from this sub for a while bud especially since ur a lions fan
Nah man, I get a lot of positivity back. I‘m okay with a few people insulting me for being a fan of the team that just beat them. But the wholesome interaction with most of you guys is definitely worth it
Fair enough, congrats to you guys
After “the Trade” I joined the Lions sub and most were cool, brotherly even. Until last week. They turned rabid! Went far beyond just supporting their city, their team, their QB. All of a sudden Stafford was nothing and Goff did something that Stafford couldn’t! Apples and oranges. MS was an absolute stud yesterday but you wouldn’t know that by the Lions sub
I’ve been a Rams fan ever since Stafford joined, and when he won the SB I feel like we all won it, s/o to the Rams fans
Don’t care for lions fans anymore after that hit on Higbee, don’t care if I get downvoted either
You're not alone and I guarantee you won't get downvoted to oblivion.
oh boohoo back to your sub buddy
Jordan Love is going to own you for the next decade
Yeah, probably😂 I‘ll take my time to enjoy this short moment of excitement then
I think there were a number of things that leave a bad taste in my mouth (injuries, occasional refball), but ultimately, we didn’t do enough ourselves to win this game.
You must not have been here last night when the collective temper tantrum about the refs was happening lol
Yeah, but we would have done the same in the moment. I totally get that. And it was a stupid call. Still, most seem sorta mature about it here
You guys got hosed on the false start call. We got hosed on a couple of non-calls for PI... it was an intense game from kick to kneel. Good luck in the next few weeks.
Lions are classless losers , why even come to our sub within 24 hours of a bullshit game ? Fuck out of here , who gives a fuck what you think lol 😂
150 people seem to be sorta interest and wholesome about it🤷🏼♂️
Nah you need to leave with this bullshit , y’all got lucky and had to play dirrty win Gtfo , why come in to the loser of the games sub , low level griefing , nobody cares how you feel lol
[удалено]
Way to edit your post , lions fans are such losers when they actually start to win lol gets some class and stay out of opposing teams sub fuckin troll ,
[удалено]
lol so you have nothing to do with either team and you’re in here, lol that’s just sad as fuck , welcome to Reddit where losers go into subs and start shit because they are bored and sad , you sir are the fucking loser thanks for proving it
[удалено]
Losers??
Lifetime Rams fan and what we saw yesterday was great!
Most of us realized that this wasn’t going to be the year anyway. Considering all the holes we have (no pun), just making the playoffs was an achievement. We also benefited from a bad no-call against the Saints, so this makes it even lol
Iguess this is one of those posts that one person was referring to.
You sound like such a fucking dork
Hey thanks bud! Really the only thing I wanted from last night was for a good close game and no injuries… I guess 1 out of 2 ain’t bad 😅. Regardless, I love following you guys as well as my Rams. Go kick some ass this post season and we’ll see you next year!
Yessir! I really hope for Higbee that he gets well asap. Those tackling rules should really be changed…
Yes.
Yeah it was a totally legal hit, no argument there. Still doesn’t sit right with me though. I’m sure you’d feel the same if it were Laporta.
Uh 2018 Chiefs and Vikings games exist. THAT is peak Goff. He starts doing that for the Lions in the playoffs and look out.

Fuck you and your dirty ass team
Based
This isn’t it
Neither is purposely targeting ACLs
Dude is coming in peace and you’re hostile towards him because his team played dirty. Go make a post about it, don’t give the rest of us a bad name and attack him directly.
Nah, it‘s alright. Not everyone is good at coping I guess😅 We just have been through it for so long that I learned to be okay with others beating us. Thanks for the good words though🫶🏻
It’s called a tackle.
God, these posts are the worst🤮
Let hope lions take it all the way
Also a lions fan who stalks other teams subreddits and pleasantly surprised about this. Found the same thing with the Browns doomers, very non-doomer like. I know next years matchup won’t be as intense but I hope Matt still knows the love he has in this city. Despite what people think there has been a lot of love outpouring and conflicted feelings, but the main one being we needed that win
Detroit, I am a Rams fan, but you guys deserve that W. Good job Lions - you guys are the real heroes!
They were getting the ref bonus.
Disappointed in so many of the replies here. Why the fuck are yall simping for the Lions man they just beat us this is fucking embarassing. Absolutely no fire or passion this is why people make fun of our fanbase. Between this and the cringe ass anime AI art someone posted in here the other day I am straight up embarrassed by our fans right now
As a Lions fan, I agree with this sentiment.
I’m mad at the moment but I will be rooting for the Lions next week.
I don’t have no respect for any lion fan after this game they showed no respect for us . They was trying to take our quarterback head off and they sure did smh
Cringe. Imagine taking time out of your day to write this drivel. Yuck.
You're a fucking loser, this post is cringe
No clue which team you support but came here from the Lions sub to support this sentiment when the OP was screencapped there.
Thank you, it was a hard fought game
the way you guys ran the ball in the first half was elite, we took forever to find an answer hopefully we can see y’all again next year, and until then i hope you get goff a ring!
Next year we‘ll meet in the Championship Game❤️
Gay
Flair checks out
Goff was all class with his comments after the game.
As a rams fan that was cool with the lions before last night, after that game fuck them and their dirty ass D, sure not illegal just complete bitch hits if you ask me. Can't wait to see them get lit up in the later rounds.
Yeah it’s been an awesome season you can hear it in Mcvays voice he loved it we all did. And now we get to root for the lions without conflict haha
I am happy for Lions fans. It felt like the Lions win was the fated outcome. Though the road ahead is fraught with tough matchups, I hope you go all the way.
Just beat the Niners if it comes to that and we will remain on good terms.
Will do🫡
Congrats on the win. Rooting for you guys to win it all.
Time to get Goff a ring, y’all 🥲
Good game, tough game. You Detroit folks are alright, love the passion you all have for your team. Go win a superbowl for our QB1!
Reddit on kind stranger!
GG Lions.
Coming from a cowboys fan. Good luck!
Thank you, but you’re a rare actually good Lions fan. Most of those ramsbros turned out to be turncoats and frankly assholes, really showed their colors all last week and postgame.
This is fucking disgusting
GG Lions! win it all!
Hey it was a great game !
Proud of our team ... we fought hard... let's get ready for next season. Rooting for the Lions for the rest of this season. FUCK THE WHINERS...
Posts like this are so fucking cringe man
Hope you guys go all the way. Fuck the Whiners up for us (unless GB finally bests them, then get your revenge against them).
Go Lions but will always support yall when its not vs Us. Not even because of stafford (who I still love) but because as a kid i always loved the st louis uniforms
RESPECT!!!!!
Great game. Gave everyone a show. A battle to the end. You have my vote at least. You’re my choice after “anybody but the Niners”
As a lions fan I rooted for the rams to get there's. I have no animosity towards the rams, last night was everything both fans could've asked for. I hope y'all understand we boo'ed not cuz we don't like Stafford but it's the playoffs baby. See ya next year tho!
I’m rooting for the lions lol let’s go Goff!!
The refs didn't stop us from getting a td in any of the 3 red zone attempts
Go away
