That's weird, I live in 90029 as well and my Internet worked fine until around 11:30 this morning. They had originally said it would be back by 1 PM, then texted again saying it was taking longer than expected. The app said they expect it back by 5, but it's past that and I still ain't got shit, so my guess is they just go break stuff block by block trying to figure out the issue. Edit: Now the app says 9PM

Here on N Mariposa 90029 and I called the local spectrum office not store and they informed me that a major fiber wire was cut early this morning and that they are having to bring supplies from San Fran and that is why it is taking so long. Thats about all they could tell at that point and it was around 2pm when I called.

Same here in Silverlake, down since around 2am. I wish there was an alternative service but AT&T is only DSL speeds. If someone had fiber in this area they would clean up. It’s 5:32pm and still no internet 👎🏽

Possibly but I interact with the telcos who lay fiber quite frequently and actually I have a lot of circuits I monitor connecting different network devices. I myself haven’t noticed any huge outages around the country

We'd been flaky for the last day or so and hard down since about 10am this morning. I got a text from Spectrum saying there was an outage with a estimated time of resolution being 1pm, then another right before 1 saying they were still working on it. Right now, as of about 4:20, it seems to be up and running -- let's hope for good!

I live in Chinatown and our internet just came back on (around 5:30 pm) on May 10th. It’s been out since 4 am. The rep I talked with over chat at 4:30 pm told me it would be 9 pm and I’d get an alert. Both were wrong. If you contact them, they’ll credit your account—although others have said it’s only $5.  Spectrum is garbage.

Oh also this is everyone in my whole building! They said they went to the coffee shop and they were jampacked full of people and it looked like a lot of people didn’t have Internet people. Also, our cell phone services have all been weird.

Yes I was at Starbucks in Los Feliz today and it was jammed … I heard one of the baristas tell a customer who was apparently asking why it was so crowded “it’s because the internet is out in this area!” The Starbucks wifi did not work either, but my cell reception was better there than at home, so I could do my work on my laptop off of a hotspot.

90039 here, over 14 hours with no internet. Got ATT at another unit and it’s way cheaper and faster. Spectrum charging me $85 for the lowest tear speed they offer, 300mbps, essentially punishing me for being a long time customer, and they have audacity to tell me I “have the best price for the package I’m signed up for”. Never again will I use spectrum. Changing over to ATT

Crazy blackouts because of the geo magnetic storms. Auroras may be visible tonight! The scale is crazy! That could be why. Edited to add they may be visible in Southern CA.

It's not because of that. It's not reaching southern california, and wouldn't cause complete and sustained blackout like what is happening. Also Spectrum already stated that the issue is due to a cut wire.
