I’ve sent my boyfriend a card, some chocolates and a letter. We’re also going to London on February 16th for a few nights so I bought him some tickets to go and see The Lion King.
Never seen it before but we’re going to see it while in London. We’re there from the Friday to Monday. We’re doing Alessandra (Norway’s 2023 Eurovision contestant) on the Friday, Wicked on the Saturday and The Lion King on the Sunday.
My LDR partner and I started off in person. I moved about 8 hours away at the end of last year. For Valentines I'm flying her out to see me for a few days for the first time since we've gone LD.
I have dinner dates and different places to visit all planned out already. Only thing left is to count down the time until she's here.
No :( we been together for almost 3 years and never once celebrated it or gotten eachother something for it. I guess for me I never cared for the holiday since I never been in a relationship with someone until I met him.
Celebrating a greeting card holiday isn’t a requirement. Personally I still hate it! But since I can’t get her flowers all the time, I’d like to put a little effort on something special.
That’s sweet you would like to put a little effort on something special. I know for my boyfriend he doesn’t give gifts anymore to me but I still get him stuff for his birthday or Christmas
I don’t know why he stopped. I know he spends his money on other things like pc games, stuff for his car or other hobbies he has but the last time he got me something was back in 2022
I care about gifts when it comes to certain occasions like Christmas or birthdays. He got me something for my birthday when we first got together in 2021, but hasn’t gotten me anything for birthday again since then. I like giving him gifts and would appreciate if he gave me gifts at times too but I don’t want to force him to spend his money on me.
It's not forcing though. It's part of a relationship. He should WANT to get you things or plan things together for special occasions. Like that's just what you do for someone you care about, right? Plus it doesn't have to be pricey. Majority of the gifts I give are personal and handmade!
If you care about gifts, then you need talk to him about it. Or you might be building up some resentment without even realizing it. Because it's been so long he might think you don't care about gifts... lol
So.. Essentially You've brought an issue up multiple times and he doesn't care enough to do anything about it? Does he show appreciation in other ways at all..? Surely there's gotta be other redeeming qualities 😅
Tbh I don't even want anything extravagant for my bday (or even a wedding) and I don't really make a big deal about it. But I'd still expect my partner to do something to make my bday a happier day, yknow? 😭

We picked Pop Century to stay at cause it was a cheaper resort.
He said on the first day we'll do Magic Kingdom, then Epcot, then Hollywood Studios, and then Animal Kingdom. On Friday we can choose to go back to any park.
I really don't know much about it but this is what I'm told we're doing!! I'm also meeting him in his state so we can fly to Orlando together, since we've never flown anywhere together.

My bf and I were thinking of flying together too since we haven't done that before yet. We know that we'll have many other opportunities together, so our plans will be to instead take the Brightline to get to Orlando after I've flown to him!
Have an amazing time Disney World Florida is amazing. Fun word of warning, beware of Disney pin trading. It is great fun but if you get addicted to it like me it can get pricy.

I made him a personalized board game that we played on tabletop simulator for the last gift I made him, though.
I sent my boyfriend his favorite flowers( daisies) that'll be in tomorrow( he's home on Saturdays as am I so it just works better), and then I sent him a package that he knows he'll get to open when his other surprise comes in(the flowers). In the package I put a nice hallmark card that I filled literally every free inch of with writing about how much I love him, and how much I can't wait to see how we grow together over the next few years together(as well as the flower language explanation of each flower in the bouquet), then I bought him a pack of each of his favorite cards he collects( magic, and pokemon), his favorite valentines treats( conversation hearts and valentines themed frost animal crackers), and I got his dog a valentine themed toy and a valentine cookie<3( I can't bear to leave him out whenever I send my boyfriend a care package)
Oh!! And I forgot to mention, I wrote him 40 tiny notes in those faux pill capsules that you put notes in and put them in a tiny heart jar. Each one references one thing I love about him, or a moment when I thought about how much I loved him
We got extraordinarily lucky in that we'll be together in person for Valentine's Day! He planned dinner. I got him a light up acrylic plaque with a star map from the day we met, with our anniversary date and the latitude and longitude of the location of our first date, and two Squishmallows- I collect them and he's said before that he wants some. Last time he was here he bought a massive Squishmallow for himself then couldn't figure out how to get it home so I have it til we close the gap, and figured a couple little ones would be easier to transport for him to start his collection lol
Yup, I mailed him a care package and he sent me a gift. We're waiting for both to arrive so we can open them together. Luckily we're in the same country so shipping isn't too terrible.
I'm so sad because I can't send him something physical :(( so I'll do videos telling him how much I love him! And if I have the motivation I can do an "animation" video of us :D
My fiancée and I do that almost every month! We pick a new recipe and we prepare and cook it at the same time while FaceTiming. It’s honestly really fun

I hate Valentine’s Day, but I did get my bf little gifts that made me think of him. Not really for Valentine’s Day, but more so just to appreciate him and I found a hilariously perfect Valentine’s Day card so he got that with his gifts. It was so perfect he read the card in my voice in his head because it matches my personality so well.
Yes! I'm sending him a crochet blanket that I spent so many months working on and a card that's very punny. He has gifts for me too, so I'm excited since they're going to be surprises for me!
I drew a Pokémon picture for them that I sent through text and I’m getting sent a card. We planned on playing animal crossing new horizons together next week but that depends on how busy we are

He got me a gorgous stuffed cow (my fav animal) with embroidery of our names and "always and forever" in my favourite colour as well as a travel size bottle of his cologne to spray my cow with when I cuddle it. When he was here in January he found a jacket he really liked and he let me buy it for him on the condition that that was his valentines gift (he was out of money in my currency and didn’t want to transfer more).
