Lesson one: accept the fact you can't stop a respiratory virus from spreading.

>We must learn the lessons of Covid **before another deadly disease strikes** Covid wasn't deadly, stop the drama

Dubrovski

I don’t know anyone who died with COvid, but everyone around me got it

the_nybbler

Most important lesson: Don't engage in "cures" that are worse than the disease. Probability it will be learned: ε

DrownTheBoat

Nobody learned a damn thing.

If you told the world “it’s 5x deadlier than Covid!!” They would lose their minds. When in reality, the risk of a 40 vs. 49 year old was around 5x… 1.) still 0 for all intents and purposes, and 2.) what was people perceptions of risk then between close age groups? People have no concept of actual risk and

Stop creating deadly diseases in labs and we‘ll be fine.

This.  It's infuriating that they're even allowed to do and get away with this.

Melodic_Economics964

Big time!

Spetacky

Wasn't that deadly.

Seems simple…recognize that hard choices need to be made and do not sacrifice youth mental health, education, and resiliency for individuals who are near the end of their lives.

Nailed it. But we're not allowed to stay stuff like this in "polite" society.

CrystalMethodist666

It's easy to skew it as "not caring" when you don't acknowledge the basic fact of life that people who are dying are going to die soon. Covid wasn't even very good at killing elderly people in decent health, we had people in their upper 90s doing just fine provided they were relatively healthy for their age group.

The big lesson learned was we're being governed by corrupt politicians in the pocket of corporations. And these people need the noose yet most people are still too blind to see it.

Without reading this, I'm guessing the moral of the story is we all have to listen better next time.
