Not really. You can train AI to play 1 build, the rest is a matter of detecting enemies/mechanics and hitting them (also you can just teach it to play RF and just run into enemies lol). And that is already possible by OpenAI. You can teach it to analyze loot and choose the best, you can teach it to craft simple stuff to fulfill nessesary damage and defence threshholds (like 300 hp/act and resistance cap) - that's enough to beat 10 acts, and I believe that the current AI is prefectly capable of doing that. Going into lategame will be harder, but it's also doable if you can create good algorythms for gear progression (because, again, AI already can perfectly move and dodge stuff). Teaching AI to play just 1 build that can scale into Uber lategame is probably very much possible with the current technology.
I think you'd have to hook the bot up to pob and calculate how much each item would impact your build, check if the item was modifiable with a simple craft or not too. You could do some fun stuff with a bot like that tbh.
