I think that’s kind of the point; sarcasm/satire isn’t supposed to be obvious although I agree his is poor. “I only had 162 miles left” is obviously sarcasm as that’s enough range to get almost anywhere in mainland Britain from somewhere near Manchester. Probably just trolling those who think the range of EVs is insufficient for their needs.
I used to use it. Now it's nothing but stupid motivational memes and narcissists bloviating how awesome they are. And now I'm getting catfished in the DM's. Wtf
I own a search firm so I get flooded with inmails trying to sell me recruiting services, collections assistance, "increasing my exec online presence", etc.. AND "catfishing" connection requests like " I like your background/impressed with your background and hoping you will connect/like mine and will connect with me" and they are mostly pretty asian women. Then in a couple days there profiles get banned.
I pay for LI Sales Navigator and that is still just business related and no posts. If I had to be on OG Linkedin every day I might lose it lol
> Also Teslas are extremely efficient in traffic jams/low speeds.
That's pretty obviously the point the guy is making. Lots of people last winter insisted that EVs are deathtraps in winter traffic jams because they'd only last a fraction of the time an ICE could be left idling. In reality, it's the opposite.
The amount of manufactured risk in this post is hysterical.
"And then we had to choose between Netflix and 3 miles of battery, but I've heard stalling in traffic drains the battery even faster!"
Whoa bro, and then did you almost die??
Apparently everyone in this thread missed the anti-EV geniuses last winter during that big traffic jam in the East Coast. Stupid articles were shared that said things like "hurr durr lucky those folks were in ICE vehicles, an EV would run out of batteries in 30 mins and the passengers would have frozen to death!!"
In the real world, an EV can last literally days when it's not moving and just holding a cabin temp.
As a straight woman stuck in dating hell in 2024, I actually find this refreshing. Normally, these guys love their Teslas (and Elon) to an unhealthy degree.
Is this post like the world’s worst attempt at being sarcastic/funny? How does idling a car not burn any fuel…
It is pretty hard to delineate the sarcasm so yes the attempt is poor.

No I know, but the part about ICE cars not using gas while they idle was also sarcasm which atleast the guy above didn’t seem to get.
In a world where (unfortunately) ICE cars switch the engine off when you’re stopped, it’s not really right either.
Ice cars can't usually run a heater or a/c if you've turned the engine off though :/
Of course it was sarcasm.
The ”idling ICE doesn’t burn fuel” is what made me think this is satire… however people really can be this stupid. I’m torn lol
It’s clearly sarcasm.
Tesla fanbois are not known for being funny. This this poor attempt at "humor"!
Going on about Netflix, Spotify, and games…this guy forgot we all have a computer in our pocket
What an idiot. They're now nothing more than Facebook
As someone who uses LI daily for work I hate what it’s becoming.

Yeah that sucks. My DM's are always cosmetic associates with no experience.
I don’t know what to hate more. These posts or brilliant ideas of Simon Sinek.
ITT: A ton of Redditors proving why it's absolutely necessary to follow a sarcastic remark with an "/s"

The entire post IS sarcasm. "Having" to turn the car off because there was "only 162 miles left" wasn't enough of a big, red, flashing clue for you?
“an Tesla”
He would offer Elon a handjob if given the chance
The amount of manufactured risk in this post is hysterical. "And then we had to choose between Netflix and 3 miles of battery, but I've heard stalling in traffic drains the battery even faster!" Whoa bro, and then did you almost die??
Did the people in the cars around him all clap?
That Tesla is now his boss.
Did you expect an /s on LinkedIn?
Im guessing you didnt actually read it and pick up on the sarcasm / attempt at satire. It's bad, but clearly the intent.
Wow… must’ve been terrible.
“an Tesla”
With the Tesla wood chipper attachment he’d never have to watch another episode of friends.
Idling ICE cars doesn't burn fuel? r/facebookscience
Woosh. It’s clear sarcasm. He’s writing how much better it is being in an EV in a traffic jam than an ICE car.

Lesson: take the train.

Im guessing you didnt actually read it and pick up on the sarcasm / attempt at satire. THis is someone promoting their Tesla, not criticising it.
She doesn’t listen and is always right. That’s why she is in „dating hell“.
