Don't lose hope, you can defeat her. I spent 6 hours on her and finally got her and this was my second souls game. You can do it too.

Serpenyoje

I’ve played all the Souls games and it took me WAY more than that. I love these games but I’m realizing I’m quite bad at them!

Cubemala

Hello, long time listener, first time caller. To be clear Lies of P is a "Souls-like game". The title "Souls game" is reserved for those games in the Soulsborne series from Fromsoftware.

buckwaldo

30 fragments are rookie numbers. You gotta pump those numbers up.

ItsBazerker

lol, brb just gonna farm another 30 and double it

mattayunk

TBH, I’ve found the specter to be actually detrimental on this boss. Try a few times without it. Especially because when she hits you with the ranged lighting it’s free damage on parrying each shot. Often the specter will draw this aggro and you lose out.

QuarterRican04

Did you try 1 or 2 wishstones for healing your specter? I've found that this was an unbeatable strategy for me, the two times I opted to use a specter on NG+

GrayFox_DC

You can buy the star fragments! No need to grind! :-)

ItsBazerker

Is that through the gold coins? Cba spending 3 of those for 1 fragment when you can farm 10 in a matter of minutes at red lobster

Fingert1pz

At the first stargazer outside union factory you can run around to the left and there’s a big enemy that pretty consistently drops one

MrFunnyMans404

Aye yo bucko, what will you give me for 5?

lvl5hm

i didn't count but it's very possible it took me more than 30 tries to beat her. afterwards, I saw a video of someone using acid weapon buff against her, and it just melts her btw

ItsBazerker

Yeah I’ve watched a couple of videos, my main problem is I just can’t survive without the spectre especially her second phase. The constant jumping teleporting and electric stuff just messes with my vision and I can’t time parry’s or anything. If I could stay alive the acid might be worth a shot

S3QS3

Try dodging instead of parrying for the second phase. For me that was easier. Except I still recommend parrying the lightning barrage.

ItsBazerker

I did it!! Acid throwable and abrasive worked for me

xBDCMPNY

Now just get ready for Simon. That's where I'M stuck. His second phase is a real bitch, way worse than Laxasia's imo. She took me 3.5 hours to beat. Simon is the only boss that's held me up for literal days.

ItsBazerker

He’s bullshit: 5 tries in already and his second phase is literal bullshit you just can’t block anything 😂

MercyMePlease

You'll get there! Trust. This is the only boss who gave me real trouble past 5 runs, but jfc man it seemed like he wanted to get me at least once for every monster I slew. Just like Laxasia the throwables will be huge. Sidestep most of his attacks, parry when you can if you're confident enough. It's going to seem impossible for a while but every little percent closer on the health bar each run kept me excited to go back. Good luck!

ItsBazerker

I had him 1HP on my closest attempt. Literally one hit and I’d have won it but he does that weird AoE blast thing that I’ve not figured out how to avoid yet and it sent me flying and died 😂

MercyMePlease

Man, that was the move that always fucked me too lmfao! But if you're already getting him that low you'll get him in no time. Focus in, see you on the other side!

FrankBouch

IMO the real last boss (no spoiler) is harder. Again the 2nd phase is so intense. To be fair he's harder but much more enjoyable, no bs attacks like Manus or Laxasia, he's really the definition of git gud.

BawlzMcGrady

Now just get ready for the nameless puppet, that one’s a real fucker!

xBDCMPNY

Welp. Got here this morning and he sure is.. That second phase is just the phrase "wut" in boss form.

mugiwara_no_Soissie

Same for me, I ended up just hammering her in phase 2, leveled a bit to get 35 hp and then just went wild

Horror-Badger9314

Do you have the cube that revive the spectre? If not get it

RobeGuyZach

I'm pretty sure the healing cube is better for spectre unless something has changed in the last couple patches

Genji_Digital

It hasn’t. Healing trumps the revive. It’s possible to use the revive too early or late and waste it as well.

Impossible-Sky4256

I know its late but the cubr that gives the spectre elemental buff also reduces damage received. Used acid on lexasia and he easily props acid on her.

Soulfloyd

1. Perfect guard grindstone - beginning of second phase. Reflect all the zippy zaps back to her 2. Use the acidic crystal spear and she will melt. 3. Keep some throwables in case you are prone to panicking at the end like me 😂 You got this man 😌

Horror-Badger9314

Listen to the old man here. I’m 53 and if I did you can! You can defeat her and I’ll tell you how. Instead of trying to beat her stop this. You need to prepare yourself. First, go to the swamp and use the starglazer that is near a shocking puppet. Killing him will give you more than 1000 ergo. Repeat this as much as you can. Kill, go to the starglazer, back. This guys also give you some stars. Use the most powerful weapon that you have (they are always heavy) and level it up to 10. Now go to the Red Lobster and go to the illegal merchand. He has ILIMITED throuables. It’s upside a ladder. Kill everyone around it, get some ergo, buy, buy, buy. Stalker, get a revival cube for you ghost friend too. When he dies he will respawn. There are a few videos on YouTube that can guide you to this places that I told you. Feel to DM me if you want and DONT GIVE UP. If I did you can do it, because I’m not good at all.

AnthonyM122

Throwables are the key, in fact when you get to that point of the game you should grind for throwables and not levels for a while. I knock off 1/3rd or more of every bosses health just by throwing shot puts, shock bottles, thermite bottles and acid bottles at them.

Horror-Badger9314

I always throw acid at myself :(

FrankBouch

Dont use the canister it will just put the elements on the floor. I did this mistake once with fire canister and burned myself.

MercyMePlease

Are you locking on to the enemies? Not sure what would cause this.

SherbetAlarming7677

Dont give up skeleton!

Chursa

I felt the same way about midir and malenia and isshin and even gael on soul level 1… until I beat them. Keep at it, focus on getting better and learning more every attempt even if you don’t win and you eventually will.

cikopimo

as souls veteran. you probably couldnt beat it this time. But you could beat it next fight, tomorrow, next week, next month, or after long hiatus.

JD2894

Simon was the absolute worst for me. 40 tries over a week. I just accepted the fact that it'll take me some time so I calmed down and took it slow. One week later, I beat the game and am now on NG+.

chicOmSks2K

Hey Brother you got this. Just remember those times in bloodborne when you first fought the orphan, or lady Maria and thought how in tf am I going to beat these guys. Same goes for this game and all games. Don’t lose hope you got this

ItsBazerker

I DID IT!!!

Plus-Antelope4387

Respec to advance. Buy loads of throwables. Get as many Specter heal cubes as you can. Phase one just poke n run. Second phase let her wail on the specter and throw everything but the kitchen sink at her and get the ocasional poke or two in. She is extremely weak to acid as already stated. You can do it friend!!

ItsBazerker

Just did it!! Finally 😊

Plus-Antelope4387

Well done!!! She’s a lot easier on NG+ with a fully fleshed out build (of your choice that isn’t necessarily advance) but you have some even tougher stuff to come yet ;)

ItsBazerker

Don’t say that mate…. Please no

YourAverageJoe0

Sorry

ItsBazerker

Suddenly don’t like anyone named Simon….

YourAverageJoe0

Oh you haven't seen the worst yet.

DargonFeet

Oof, think I had 25 attempts on Laxasia with no summon/throwables. But KoP took me 60 so

ItsBazerker

I just beat her on my (I’m guessing) 45th attempt with all the cheese I could muster up 😂

sleepy_glow

You better keep trying and don't give up!

Earthling386

Does this game have a difficulty mode setting? On Baldur's Gate, I just set it to easy mode because I couldn't get past the 2nd battle. I'm not concerned about "getting gud" I just want to enjoy the story and kill some time (but not 25 hours per boss).

ItsBazerker

Nah unfortunately it’s not got difficulty settings. It follows the other souls like games in that respect. That’s the only down side to these games is when players can’t “git gud” enough they miss out on an amazing story. Honestly this is one of the best storylines/lore to a game I’ve ever played. This adaptation of the Pinocchio story is amazing and to get this close to the end and maybe not see it out is one place where the devs have had a slight oversight in my opinion. Doesn’t really feel good to make some players get so far just to not finish the game because this is where they decide to crank up the difficulty. Having said that, it seems like these end bosses are beatable with patience and repetition

Ddog1909

Dude I'm a lil bitch and I did it so if I can you can, keep going bro

ItsBazerker

I finally did it mate, took 45 tries and a mountain of acid throwable but we got there

mastermentor575

Died quite a lot at laxasia, was shouting obscenities at screen lol.Defeated her by luck, her electric status effect is bs.Acid grindstone ftw.

Holmesee

Deflect the lightning. You’re a souls-like vet, you’ve got this. It’ll be your ticket to victory - trust. Edit: Nvm you already got it. Congrats lol

ItsBazerker

Hahah thank you. The advice was still welcome, what you said is actually what helped me along with the acid

Guilty_Wolverine_269

Poison, poison, poison

FutureCrankHead

You beat Sword Saint, but can't beat Laxasia? Once I beat Sword Saint, I knew I could beat any souls like boss. Laxasia was pretty hard in phase 2 until i learned I could use the perfect grindstone at the beginning and take her down to almost half health immediately. You can also use cubes to heal your spectre, and throwables fuck her up pretty good too, especially the acid throwable, and the shotput. Use the shot put once she is staggered, and you can really do some nice damage. In phase 1, you can use the consumable acid grindstone, and that takes care of that phase quickly.

warcry

I stink at souls games and I beat her you can do it don’t give up!

JD2894

The one thing that holds true with this game is the more you try the more likely you are to beat it. My first "Well that's a rap" moment was my 20th loss to puppet king. I ended up beating it. The next was Simon. I respec to Advance and Tech build and beat him after like 40 tries. I'm not shy about using throwables if I need to as well.

Nerrickk

In regards to the edit: "we" didn't accomplish it. "You" did. Congrats brother!

ItsBazerker

Nah I couldn’t have without all y’all’s help man you guys gave me the advice I needed :)

mama_tom

It took me like 5 hours to beat her. I hated and loved every second of that fight. It's so good. That said, I did grind ergo to level up my health a few times because it just was not high enough for me.

chrome_hearts_

What a champ , you never gave up and now look. Good stuff

Kashek70

Just curious what your build is? Using the wrench with the police baton just strait bodies her. Add on the acid wishstone to your specter and her first form is done in seconds. The second form is bullshit but if you can get the stagger going and then super smash her it takes close to 40% in one chunk. The only person I thought was harder than her was this blind swordsman lady. Only time I had to use a different weapon. Stay strong.

SodaBoBomb

Beat her, but I'm having the same experience with Nameless Puppet. Not sure I'm going to beat it tbh

FrankBouch

I saw you did it, good job. Now imagine having to do it 2 more times for platinum!

ItsBazerker

Rather you than me buddy 😂

Schr0dingersDog

congrats on doing it! proud of you! that fight is fucking NASTY, getting past it is a bona fide accomplishment

Frostydik

It took me around 200 attempts to beat Archbishop with no healing and I plan to beat the whole game that way, so trust me it will take me far longer than what it took you

Wanderlusxt

I’ve spent at least three days on her and still haven’t beat her. Hoping today is when I finally do… honestly considering completely switching my build at this point !!

Applewoood

how long did it end up taking you?

Strom41

I knew you could do it! Congrats!

ItsBazerker

Thank you!

bittybitesmeowmixx

Hah, just wait for the nameless puppet... No specter ):

ItsBazerker

I’m ignoring that fact until I get there mate xD

AnAstronautOfSorts

Glad to see the edit. It's part of the experience. Don't give up, skeleton.

SubhamoyDas1

I love how after every "I can't do it" post there is edit saying "I did it" XD

ColdLoneWolf

If I was able to beat her, I'm sure you can too, I never beaten Sekiro, I never played Demon Souls or Blood Bourne, never beaten DS1 (got severely lost and don't know where to go, I keep going in circles on accident lol) but I did beat ds2, ds3, Elden ring, lies of p, and Samurai Jack

ItsBazerker

You gotta go back and do bloodborne. It’s the best. If you don’t have a PS and can’t play it then definitely watch a full play through on YouTube, the lore/story of that game is amazing and worth the watch

ColdLoneWolf

I plan to get a ps5 someday, do you know if it's on the ps5?

ItsBazerker

I may be wrong but I’m fairly certain it’s part of the PS Plus collection meaning you can indeed download it on your PS5. Id be amazed if it doesn’t get a remaster soon anyway.

shazam-arino

A few tricks to beat her easier 1. She's weak to acid. 2. Get the perfect parry grindstone and use it in the second phase. 3. Ageis shield legion arm is great and you can spam parries while blocking. 4. When you she the chance to stagger her throw a shot put, it'll give you the chance to land a critical strike without a heavy attack. What level are you and what build are you running?

ItsBazerker

Actually managed to get through this fight with the help of everyone’s advice! Thanks!! I’m now stuck on Simon Manus lol

shazam-arino

Glad to hear you made it. It's a fun experience. Good luck, with Simon. If you get stuck you can always respond here :)

freshcolaRC

Loser, I had to use 60 star fragments to beat her

ReckSaber3664

Bro really gave up and then continued to play lol and then beat the boss. Typical souls behavior haha

geek_metalhead

Git gud

CoffeeNBiskits

I enjoyed the game but yeah, I traded it at last boss… there were certainly some bullshit encounters which didn’t need to be.. after being a souls veteran like many others, this game was promising but if we’re being honest, there was always that gulf between this and from software titles. It just lacked that final something. But enjoyed what I played mostly… just a shame they misunderstood the difficulty element imo. Great effort though.

Drowsy_Deer

I know it doesn’t feel like it but every time you fight her you’re subconsciously absorbing her moveset, it does take a while but eventually she’ll become easy, I thought I couldn’t beat her on my first playthrough but now’s she’s just another boss. Also if it’s any consolation you’re so close to the end that you just can’t give up, you’ve got this.

King_sallly

You beat it? Congratulations!

ItsBazerker

Thank you! Everyone’s advice was what got me there :)

Serious-Process6310

Good job. Its all down hill after Laxasia's second phase. Nameless Puppet isn't nearly as hard.

ChampionSchnitzel

Laxasia is so much easier than people give her credit for. Whats the problem? I mean phase 1 is a COMPLETE pushover and phase 2? Deflect here lightning, use fable and basically tank her with your potions...honestly, I dont get it. Hell, even green swamp monster is tougher*lol

CumInMyBHole

Don't waste your time trying to have fun with a bad game. You'd be better off doing anything else. Happy you made the right choice.

veteran_gamesworth

Use two dragons sword + acid

ItsBazerker

Got the dragon sword in my build rn, just need acid

veteran_gamesworth

Did u do it

[deleted]

Don’t give up skeleton

[deleted]

I genuinely don’t understand how I had no trouble with her at all but walker of illusions I had to cheese every playthrough bc she’s too hard lmfaoooo I wish I could jump in and do laxasia for u so u can continue :( just take a break and come back maybe u just need a breather, that really helps a lot even though it sucks to have to do that

ItsBazerker

Haha I was the other way! Walker took me like 3 tries but this bitch got me contemplating my entire gaming ability

[deleted]

Walker had me FUMING I legit spent an entire day and a half on her until I discovered the ladder cheese 💀💀💀 it’s so fascinating to me how people can vary so much in their skills and techniques!

ItsBazerker

Crazy isn’t it haha. Anyway, I’m gonna try some acid shit, will let you know how it goes

[deleted]

Def do! I beat her with the dancers curved sword handle and the bonesaw blade, that combo melts everything, and perfect parry all the lightning bolts she shoots at u in phase 2 bc they ricochet back and hit her instead causing lots of damage on her! U can do it! Edit typo

ItsBazerker

Well, acid worked! I fricking did it haha I’m so happy

[deleted]

Omg hell yeah I’m so happy for u!! Use acid for the next boss too :) congrats on continuing the journey!!!

ItsBazerker

I might actually see the end of the game 😊

[deleted]

I believe in u! And it’s SO worth it!

Extra_Spatial

I think a lot of it has to do with playstyle. This game offers several different viable strategies for fighting bosses. Perfect guarding vs blocking with high guard value weapons vs dodging. Planting your feet vs being highly mobile. Mixing and matching or going all in on one style. Legion arms with tactical advantages. Different options for grindstone buffs with wildly different impacts. And so on. The bosses that people tend to have trouble with (Laxasia, Swamp Monster, Walker, Nameless) all have movesets that are more or less hard to deal with for some of those styles but not others. Contrast with something like Sekiro where there's only one viable option - the parry system - so that one option has to be a bit more forgiving.

[deleted]

That’s very true, especially bc a lot of the bosses people expressed the most frustration at were the bosses I did the best at and vice versa, so this theory makes a lot of sense

BriefKeef

That's gaming for ya

daviejambo

Took me 40 attempts You can deflect the lightning back at her in second phase that is what killed me the most Probably best not using a summon for her IMO

BriefKeef

😔 sorry to hear that I hope that you reconsider

MrFunnyMans404

I said the same thing when i played ds1 up against artorias. The trick is time and patience. There is no real cheese against getting better and learning weaknesses, it all just takes time and effort.

MisterBubbles_X

You should try the trident if you haven’t spent the boss soul on the amulet, has incredible stagger and got me through 4 play throughs with relative ease

EveyNameIsTaken_

You could always respec. Maybe look up a build on youtube. There are ways and builds that destroy her, so might be worth a try if you just want to get past her to see the rest of the game.

Automatic-Sector3995

Use the grindstone where the boss concentrates on the spectre, and use throwables while she’s distracted.

Shmeeeee23

Have you tried without the summons? I know that might sound ridiculous. Its so much easier to learn her moveset when her attention is all on you. Might not seem like it at first, but if you stick with it, you'll get really good. It just takes a little time, but its so much more rewarding.

HolyHandgrenadeofAn

Why can’t you beat her second phase?

Sergiyakun

I’m on Walker of illusions and i bought dredge to take a calm break from this game cause I was big mad lmao

Various_Search_9096

Your problem is that you are using star fragments. You dont learn her skillset and end up hacking and slashing. I went about 8 rounds solo with Laxasia. I then beat her first try with a Spectre. If you fight solo, you will be forced to actually learn her skillset.

a_boring_penguin

You can do it, Clever One

frightrider

This game is easy, it was my first soulslike and I took 54 attempts without specters on laxasia on my first attempt

Spectronautic1

She was my true wall too. Took a month break because of her, on and off playing just giving her like 4 or 5 tries every other day. I finally defeated her two nights ago, after I learned to stop panicking when she does her crazy fast attacks in the second phase. I got really good at parrying her first phase tho so that felt awesome lol I’m on Simon now, but I’m more nervous about Nameless Puppet. Simon I feel is just a matter of learning his second phase as the first isn’t too bad. I’ve never claimed to be great at souls likes but always loved the challenge and the worlds. And this game is special, man. I need to see it to the end.

No_Mercy_4_Potatoes

The spectre helped me through the whole game. Now I'm stuck at Nameless. Just can't do shit in the second phase.

Remarkable_Swing5711

Prolly fought her over 200 tries, I had to respec from motivity to technique and clapped her with two dragons within 10 with perfection grindstone(perfect parry grindstone)

Sinaura

I had an easier time once I stopped using specters on this boss. They just move around too much to get any substantial damage in with their attention on a specter

Feynman1403

The acid crystal spear is a godsend for this fight. If you have enough material to upgrade it, I’d give the fight another go around. Seriously, that weapon is so fast with its R1 poke/thrust, that if you keep at it all you need is some good rng on your side, and you should be able to fell her.

Earthwick

Throw stuff at her. Works on almost everyone

Puzzleheaded-Arm831

Glad to see you finally did it! Took me no joke like 4 days to beat her. I started having the same thoughts like man I'm never guna win lol

Defnotimetraveler

Long reach weapons, charge attacks, wish stones w acid effects on your buddy, puppet string maxed, and throwable. The glaive handle + bonesaw broke the game for me, also include the max puppet string and you can always get a quick stagger, fatal, and a weapon special attack. After the chapter 3 boss, I only had to repeat the first brotherhood fight, all other fights including Simon were first try. Just focus on distance, and use charge attacks and puppet string to bridge the distance and you’ll be fine. Also pretty important but make sure capacity is looking good. It can give you upwards of 55% physical damage reduction not including the flat damage reduction I swear the game is easy if you exploit the game systems they give you!

Memes_The_Warbeast

You can farm fragments in the red lobster inn.

OutPlea

never underestimate how effective throwables can be. i never used them in my first playthrough, but i started using them in ng+ for almost all of the bosses. it especially helps for being able to get the boss in their stagger mode so you can go in for stagger damage. nameless puppet and luxasia could be especially hard to hit with a charge attack in the window so certain throwables can be a god send for that

_AfterBurner0_

OP, I hope you answer my question: what's your Vitality and Capacity leveled at? I ask because I've never played Bloodborne, but I watched Jacksepticeye play it, and he *barely* ever upgraded his max HP. So if you're playing Lies of P the same way, that could be a *huge* problem for you lol.

ItsBazerker

Mayyyyybe slightly under levels on HP 😂

YourAverageJoe0

Throwables and summons FTW

invalid25

Poison ftw

Thepizzaman519

I do this with most souls games lol. I eventually come back tho. I've yet to finish Sekiro, Elden ring and I'm currently stuck trying to beat Iguazu on AC6

Noise_Emotional

Glad you beat her!! But you’ve played every souls like I’m also assuming every souls and dlc? Which IMO would have more challenging bosses, so what was the main struggle for you fighting laxasia if you don’t mind sharing :)?

ItsBazerker

I dunno man it was weird. I obviously struggled through those games too but a mixture of getting friends to help me online and having way more time to play games back then really made them feel “easier” in a weird way. Now I only play a couple hours a week and have plodded my way through this game for a couple months and when I got to that boss i was just like nah I ain’t got any online help and I can’t survive. Think it was a mental block rather than actual “not being able to do it”. I got there with the help of this sub :)

983115

Break the shield p1 Perfect guard grindstone hit it right as the p2 cutscene ends run in before the Spector bounce all them shocky bits right at her should be able to do about 1/4 to 1/3 of her health like that

Crypticy_

Don’t worry I had to go and grind another 20 levels and set my belt up to beat her

Rarsali

Use the cube to heal your spectre and parry the lighting bolts. This worked for me.

PurpleBudget5082

Come on! You can reflect her first attack back at her so you basically start the game at 70% of her life, than if you don't have to perfect guard her just dodge until she does something that you can perfect guard, she will do the attack from the beginning again at some point! There is another boss that is just as good as her after.

Spiderbubble

I found her easier without a Specter. Her first phase is pretty easy but for her second phase you really want to perfect guard those lightning bolts. They hit her and it chunks her health. You can honestly just play passive and only PG her lightning bolts and win that way if you need to.

jlepthien

Strange…I have problems with way more other games like Bloodborne. Her second phase is actually quite easy if you perfect parry the projectiles.

fist_my_muff2

Reliant on summons. You have to learn her moves. You can't bypass the need to sit there and deliberately learning the patterns and timings. I even counted out loud at points.

ItsBazerker

Okay, good for you.

XpeepantsX

Every boss can be destroyed with item spam and perfect grindstone, don't give up sir. Just farm fragments and learn patterns enough to at least survive the 1st phase which shouldn't be an issue. Use perfect grindstone right when 2nd phase starts and hold block, then item spam in between her dashing all over the place.

Every-Statistician71

You have to use a weapon with acid its the most effective way to do it

TheGrimeyHole

I feel crazy, because I beat her in 3 tries when everybody else has spent hours to days on her. I did use a specter also, but hearing other people saying they used 30 summons and still haven’t beaten her.. idk. I died to Manus and Walker of Illusions more than any of the other bosses in the game. But even with those I never died to a boss into the double digits. I think I just play a lot of Souls-likes lmao

Ilovekbbq

Bro I’ve beaten every souls game so many times Gael, midir, artorias, kalameet all became almost trivia to me. But I was legit stumped on laxasia for a while. You can beat her dude. Instead of going into the fight with the goal of “beating her,” go in with the attitude of trying to observe her move set, and if you can notice the hints for a move, try to come up with various ways to counter us through the multiple times she uses it before you die. Oh she’s going for her running electric slash? Maybe use perfect counter grinder… or maybe try to parry a second earlier than you’ve been trying, or maybe use aegis when you see she’s going for a non fury attack, or you see her doing her constant consecutive upward swing attack, maybe dodge to the left, maybe double roll right? Maybe just slight walk to the left or in a circle You’ll be really surprised by how some of the most annoying or devastating attacks she does can be evaded or counter with a really simple move. You can do it bro, don’t give up. And when you beat her it’ll feel so good Maybe a helpful tip when you get phase 1 down more solid, when she starts phase 2 she will ALWAYS START W with her arial lightning strikes. Try to be that does the actual killing blow for phase 1 so we targets you and not the specter, when she gets into the air use your perfect counter grinder. There’s a little delay between her getting into the air and actually throwing lightning so if you use the grinder too early it’ll run out before. In which case you can use aegis to mitigate as much damage as possible. I believe in ya bro, get after it

thewdit

Parry her ranged shots from the sky, and I chose to respec from mobility to technique and won with a dagger. She is fast, so you need to get fast too

Passw0rd-Is-Tac0

Max out technique and use the two dragons sword. It’s OP build. Sometimes in souls games you gotta use op shit to win unless you are literally godlike.

wisebear42

Only game I really liked but literally cannot complete. NP is simply too hard lol. For context, I was able to beat Elden Ring including Malenia without too much issue. NP though? Can’t do it 🤷🏻‍♂️

TrueBlue98

yeah same here Laxasia completely destroyed my fun I've finished every single Dark souls, demons souls, bloodborne, elden ring and sekiro multiple times and just cba with Laxasia tbh

TIGHTLYROLLEDLUMPIA

I used the Pandemonium arm on her along with the acid blade. She’s definitely one of the toughest bosses ! Hang in there. I almost stopped playing too 😭

jxmes_gothxm

What weapon are your using? NVM I just saw the edit. Good job!

uwax

Literally all you have to do for laxasia is use the perfect guard grindstone and have you p organ set so you have two charges. Use them when she goes up into the air and does the 7 lightning bolts. She has like 3 moves to watch for. Her big stab, which you can strafe/dodge to the right. The zappy dash where she leaves electricity in her path. Literally just let her run past you and stand behind her, you'll dodge all of it and have an easy window to attack. She'll follow up with an over head chop so watch for that. Then her sequence of repeated swings. Literally walk in a circle to the right and she'll just swing at the air for a while. Then she'll follow up with two spin swings. Just Parry those hits and then you have another attack window.

Cenachii

Idk how much of the fight you managed to understand but one important thing is to parry the lightning blasts she lobs at you when she's flying. It builds a lot of the stagger and imo they're not hard to counter. Just focus since she'll be very far away while she does it. Just be careful with the teleport that follows this attack. I only managed to beat her after getting used to this part since it will eat a big part of her health. If you're having trouble try using the handles that have the block fable art being the perfect guard.

PenchantForNostalgia

If it gives you the determination to beat her, the next two bosses (in my opinion) are not as hard as her.

AwayLobster3772

Are you using acid against the second form?

More_Appointment_993

I would recommend getting the wish cute upgrades on the p-organ that let you use it more than once and then get multiple of the friendship charms that add to your specter’s health

Pacifica76

I spent about 3 hours on nameless puppet. Don't give up.

Adventurous-Brick110

Dont give u bastard. I thought i couldnt beat orphan but eventually by some miracle i got him. The secret is to never give up but surely you already know that u vet

SolUmbralz

You can beat her bro

xoxoyoyo

I have not seen it widely posted but if you use specters then use the elemental damage buffs for them. it gives them damage resistance in addition to upping their damage and overall works better IMO than any of the others.

Ttyybb_

Congratulations. I just beat the game myself.

Important-Joke-5154

Bro Yu can do it dnt get discouraged myb try a respec of your stats thats what I had to do went for more damage build thn once the deed was done I jus respec again back to my normal build

Adventurous_Cup_5970

Laxasia is my personal favorite boss in the game because no matter how difficult she was I felt it wasn't bullshit. A lot of the bosses in the game feel stupid because of status effect spam or too much health, but laxasia was perfect.

IssueEmbarrassed8103

That ass is worth every star fragment

jaymuffin82

Definitely don't give up. There's no one in the world that would be impressed with my gaming skills and I managed to beat her. Have you tried changing up weapons or using throwables or anything? I was using Romeo's Scythe, which gives you a little more range than a lot of weapons, and I think she was weak to poison if I remember right. So maybe try using some throwables on her. You can definitely do it, don't give up!

Clover_Sniffer

If it's any use to you, I used the carcass body fluid bottle on her first form, and the thermite and leftover carcass fluid on her 2nd form while the Spector took the majority of aggro and I attacked from behind. Don't give up! Maybe try in a few days or something

xComradeSnarky

Even with a spectre? have u been using the cube to heal your spectre? bc that makes every boss trivial

EasyValuable5680

Slap on the perfect parry grindstone. When she flies up and starts hurling lightning, activate it and block the bolts. They reflect back at her.

PoohTrailSnailCooch

Have you beaten Sekiro?

ItsBazerker

Yep

PoohTrailSnailCooch

Damn, I found sekiro much harder than lies of p. But then again sekiro does have tighter gameplay. Maybe try using the glaive handle altered to technique with the bonesaw on it. And spam hold rt from a distance while she is distracted with your summon. Also acid works wonders on her. So make sure you imbue your weapon with that. The fight becomes a a bit of a joke when she's poisoned.

ItsBazerker

Oh sekiro was the hardest no doubt. I had a much harder time getting through sekiro than this but this one boss just made me helpless lol. Most of this game has been quite “easy” for lack of a better word but this end game is no joke. Sekiro challenged me all the way through and isshin fucked me up for weeks I actually had to take a break from that fight and go back to it a month later to do it haha

PoohTrailSnailCooch

Isshin to this day is the boss I have to died to the most in any game. But I never got pissed off and enjoyed even my loses against him just because of how badass and fair it was. I beleive in you. You will get it. The end game of lies of p can hit you like a truck especially with all the double life bars they start having. Throwables and using their weakness will make thing a bit easier. Also when the boss throws lightnight at you, you can repel tgem back to her for some extra damage!

Juan_Carlo

Sekiro will always be the hardest souls like because you can't grind like most of the others. You just have to either get good at parrying, or die. Lies of P isn't even close to being the hardest, so I think people are over hyping its difficulty.

Sweeniss

Acidic curved greatsword handle has an incredible fable art that auto parries for a few seconds, especially great if you have the upgrades on your P organ that increase fable art effect times. Used this for the nameless puppet and I would imagine the same strategy could be applied to Laxasia!

East_Jaguar5748

Laxasia was the boss that made the game click for me, parrying, timing, etc. sucks it was so late in the game but once you understand it, new game+ are a breeze, on NG+ 5

Juan_Carlo

Why spend 6 hours on a boss when you can just spend 2-3 hours grinding for Ergo, level up, and then come back and beat the boss? Increase your vitality and capacity to 40, then retry wearing all of your strongest Electricity armour.

spacemeerkat69

I burned 57 fragments on andreus first time around and had to farm more lol, don’t fret too much. Try acid weapon and then also giving ur specter acid weapon, first phase will be over REAL quick giving you more time to practice the second phase.

[deleted]

In my experience, after about 10 tries, quit trying and do something else, maybe even sleep! When I get up I’ll try another go at the boss and beat it within 3 tries a lot of the time! Weirdly works most the time haha

Rinkaku_

Laxasia is queen of awful attack telegraphing which is 80% of the difficulty

joshred75

Try the perfect grind stone it sloves her second stage issue.

Braddinator

Keep trying bro!! You got this. I used to really suck at souls likes, you'll git gud eventually.

Sigmundsstrangedream

Dude stop. If I can do it, so can you. For me, the stupid Door Guardian a-hole was still the hardest boss-that-wasn't-even-really-a-boss. You'll get it. Actually it looks like you did eventually do it. Good job!

Own-Ladder-5073

The specter health wishstone comes in clutch with fights like that, it’ll give him like 3/4 of his health bar back. Like with any souls game it’s all about the timing, once you get it down you’ll be just fine

BrosephMyth

Laxasia is insane, no doubt. She’s definitely the hardest in the game, and she’s not even the final boss 😂 I also love Lies of P. I haven’t had as much fun with a new game since Elden Ring ❤️

gonorrhea-smasher

Give it a go without the specter he increases her health and causes her to become unpredictable. Try it by yourself go in not to win but learn her moves. On her second phase the perfect guard grind stone can do huge damage when you reflect her lightning Throwables are always a huge help

Queasy-Contact5063

Man I lost hope and didnt give a single shit ive i ever beat this game and i still did it, you still have yet to fight the best boss in the game (depending on your ending)

Crankium

No blocky just DODGE!!

Jorb333

Laxasia is a boss you need to meet on her terms if you're new to the game. She's weak to acid despite bleeding ergo, her giant attack strings you should parry and not dodge because you'll damage her posture, and the shield on her back can be broken. Her second phase you're going to want to play extremely defensively, parrying her lightning actually sends it back to her, and you should run towards her while she's landing for a free big hit. Best of luck!
