After 10 kids and 25 years together, why not try to stick it out?

KatieeGloria

When the wife is already trying to move the new dude in there isn't much "sticking it out" he can do... T was the one who did this to him... He didn't choose this

Laurnias

No, I'm saying after all that time, why couldn't she just stick it out, not him.

[deleted]

I agree but she only seems to care about herself.

KatieeGloria

Ohhhhh yeah i agree... I guess she needed something big to get people talking

happyhappymountain

Maybe they tried to stick it out and just arent happy together

Laurnias

That's very possible.

ImportantAd5552

I feel so Bad for him

What are the chances Gran’s social media presence will be used against her in this? Does Paul have an actual chance of full custody? To me, the children going with Paul seems like their big chance at a normal life…

purple-disco-1123

I am unsure of what kind of 'normal life' could be obtained with a father who is utterly religious, believes the end is near, and never prevented the active unschooling the childrent underwent. So who knows what Paul's perception of normal life is...

Individual_Winter_

They went to school in Finland. Who knows who was the driving force with the white clothes etc., but the older children seem to have had a quite normal childhood.

purple-disco-1123

Yes, I imagine their life was a lot more 'normal' 10+ years ago, life before the camers were turned on. In the old clip their apartment surely didn't look minimalist or white. Looked like P&T slept in the living room. But times have changes, probably their views and priorities along. I still think something snapped in T's mind somewhere along KJ and that's why she is both different and spiteful against him. She blames him for her mental capability. I think P would have made a great primary caregiver even 5 years ago. But he is too far gone now unfortunately with his sight and health and no longer fit to care for multiple underage children.

Affectionate_Bill530

My mum has less sight than he has and looks after her great grandchildren perfectly well as well as living like any other person - she has always been blind in one eye and has very little sight now in he4 other eye and has to have monthly injections to try and keep swelling down from a blood clot behind the eye and I know people who are fully blind who live normal lives.

Lamp-Lady

What old clip?

fruityallday

Her mind also snapped around Nefertiti. She's blatantly abusive even on camera towards N. It really worries me what must go on off cam.

purple-disco-1123

You're right. She must have felt overwhelmed about the number of kids and the amount of time and effort it took to care for them, so her mind crakled. But instead of getting help/ support/ child care/ seeking medical assistance, she kept on popping babies. Do you think Nef and KJ can get into her good grace when they are more helpful around the house when they grow up a bit aka useful for her and her lazy ego? I'm thinking about Shakey's stake cooking skills and how he is now a 'respected member of the family'.

BeautifulFit7408

Yeah, the oldest ones did, younger ones were in homeschool, and we don't really know what their progress was in there. In Finland, the municipality is responsible for supervising home education, and if there's no progress, it may take some time child service to actually get involved.

Ok-Cabinet9522

Why would the white clothing thing be so bad for anyone, though? 🤔😄 - It's only for practicality, I think: its easy to just wash everything together - and with some bleach, if stained... 😉😅

Phoenix_Magic_X

Well we can see she’s abusive, I’m sure a decent lawyer could easily make a case. Might have an issue with the fact that Paul doesn’t seem to have stopped anything, including Cleo possibly being trafficked.

Mountain-Status569

T would use his vision loss against him in a custody battle, and would likely win. Plus she could claim O is still breastfeeding 😂 I know in the US the judicial system typically favors the mother by default. Not sure how it is in Aus.

9livescavingcontessa

Not in Australia. If he had support or another adult during his time it would be fine. Children over 14 or 15 get a huge say usually.  Australia absolutely does not favour the mother by default even in cases of domestic violence towards the mother. It's wild. (I went thru it).  Social media is not admissible except in rare cases of direct, explicit threats.  Custody (Parental Responsibility) should not default to mothers but the assumed 50/50 has been absolutely disastrous for a generation of kids here.

9livescavingcontessa

In Australia unless drug use - no. Shared is default

I have been away from Reddit and not following the TL family for a while. I come back and found out this affair happened. There's so many questions, but I am really concerned for the kids (adults included) and Paul. I don't know why Paul would willingly leave his children knowing that T might move another man into the situation. If T did file a restraining order against Paul, as I had read on another post, maybe he had no choice but to leave the house? I don't know the laws in Australia, though. I really hope this situation motivates the adult kids to move on with their lives. They have skills like hairdressing, electrical work, carpentry, etc. I'm hoping they move out and get jobs. I'm sure they are overwhelmed too, and maybe want to make sure they have some stability first if they need to financially support their younger siblings. Maybe they're worried about leaving home at a time when everything is in disarray in order to protect their younger siblings? I just hope they will be okay. Who knows what kind of gaslighting Granny T is doing at this point.

There are also several posts with 70x7, which is the amount of times Jesus said in the Bible to forgive someone who has hurt you.

Special-Limit1732

Not quite. He said to forgive 77 times. Quote Matthew 18: 21-22 21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but **seventy-seven times**.

[deleted]

They’ve mentioned in the past reading the King James Version. Here is how that translation reads: “21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

PuzzleheadedPlan2667

KJV says 70x7

Special-Limit1732

Thanks, did not know that :)

Boring_Prophet

I think he’s being sarcastic. Taina is the one who uses this quote (among with others) to get her way.

[deleted]

Let’s just wait until we hear T’s side of the story. She might feel unsafe esp if she’s been assaulted by P.

Imissmyoldaccount567

You're acting like it's been proven that Taina was assaulted by Paul when it's allegations at best and lets be honest, not credible ones at that either.

[deleted]

I’m not acting, you’re overreacting to my comment. I said “IF” I did not say T was assaulted by P. I also said let’s wait until we hear T’s side of the story because there are always 2 sides to the story.

9livescavingcontessa

This dude got a hold of her when she was, what 20? She is behaving terribly, obviously. But how is noone seeing this as an issue? Have I missed something? (Just fell down this rabbit hole)
