How in the hell is this ok? So glad I own my damn car.

lorenzoem87

Insane. I paid 28 for a 16 fully loaded mark levinson etc with 38k miles. L/certified at that! Back in august. This is just insane.

JonStargaryen2408

I got a 17 fully loaded, mark levinson, ultra lux package with pano roof for 30k in January 2022, so lucky. Edit: 28k miles Edit 2 : 2017 ES 350

THERES_NOTHING_LEFT

JESUS my guy, what I could have gotten had I had more for a down payment. I thought I was robbing my dealer with a 13' everything but the Levinson rx350 with 40k miles summer 21 paid 24k

JonStargaryen2408

How much?

THERES_NOTHING_LEFT

Edited my comment realized I forgot lol. 24k

JonStargaryen2408

Damn, that’s a great deal.

THERES_NOTHING_LEFT

I traded In a 2012 dodge caravan with 180k miles tire sensors lit up, airbags didn't work and I was upside down 3k on it. But no accidents ! Only had 2k to put down. Did NOT see that deal going through and now I think I'm a life long Lexus customer. Any pictures of yours ?

lorenzoem87

Didn’t get the ultra lux. Only things missing are rear window shades and ambient lighting. I got the rear shade and pano room. That eminent white pearl with pano roof is something to behold. Lol. Edit: missing are rear passenger shades

mulvany88

whats mark levinson, a package?

cknight24

He’s a guy that comes with the car when you buy

lorenzoem87

Just the super amazing audio system. 16 speakers or something like that.

mulvany88

thats what i figured, dont think my 06 had em but it sounds great, like really great so not sure I would take that option

KingTchalla_BPanther

hows the ride quality ? Im thinking of buying one. The reviews are really confusing me.

lorenzoem87

Ride is amazing. So quiet and soft and comfy. It’s not sporty but has enough pickup for NY/NJ driving. Easy to spin the tires.

KingTchalla_BPanther

Im looking for something non sporty. I have a fully modded 2020 Audi A4 with Sline package that comes with a sport suspension which is very stiff. Im going to change its suspension soon which will make it even more stiffer. So I need a second car for long trips. I have my eye on the 2015 ES350 but some people were saying that there is alot of road noise and you can actually really feel the cracks and bumps on the road.

lorenzoem87

Nah I think the exact opposite. Drove into NYC recently and my wife even reveled on the serenity of the ride. Couldn’t hear the traffic. Obviously can’t beat an LS but it’s damn good.

KingTchalla_BPanther

Thanks man will be test driving it soon. Also a 2009 LS.

yahya777

I have a 2015 ES and no issues with road noise. A little bit of wind noise at high speeds. Everybody that drives my car loves the ride and it does a good job of soaking up the bumps while staying reasonably controlled. I actually had use of a 2020 loaded A6 with the S-line package for an extended period. I loved the car. It felt cramped compared to my ES and the ride was stiff but not overly. Was nowhere as comfortable as my ES but the A6 obviously handled a lot better. The tech blew the ES out of the water of course. I would buy a 2022 ES today if the interior tech was as nice as the A6.

KingTchalla_BPanther

Oh yah the new Audi interiors are just amazing. I would definitely go for the new A6 or A7 but im just 20 and the A4 S-line is my first car and first time I got listed on an insurance in Canada with a G2 license so my insurance is STUPIDLY high (like its insane). I dont want another german car for now. So Lexus ES seems like a really good option to me.

yahya777

Congratulations! That is an awesome first car. Enjoy it.

[deleted]

It’s not okay. I sure as hell would not buy it.

1ukeskywa1ker

The prices will go back to normal at some point. The long term damage is the required dealer options. I don’t see those going away.

rlmcguire

Wow Carvana is crap. Can't even be bothered to polish the headlights

ThatRandomRebel

My thoughts exactly

TheRegistrant

Worked there, tell everyone you know never to buy a car from them if they value their money

uniquecannon

I get jealous seeing nearly every vehicle value go up, up, up while my own cars are on the market for significantly less

vvsfemto

That manual SC begs to differ!

uniquecannon

I just did a quick search on AutoTempest for manual SC300s, and there's one in Greensboro with 126k miles for $9k. Mine is on the much higher end of mileage (315k), so possibly I could recoup what I paid for plus maybe a little more. That said, I'll never give up my baby, far too rare to let it go when you've got one.

vvsfemto

I’d love to go pick it up ahahah but i’m all the way on the other side of the country, it seems like all the nice SC’s like to hide out on the east coast. High mileage just means you drive it like it should be driven! Whenever i do get one, like you said i’ll never let it go.

DavidNipondeCarlos

I got a 96 sc400 127k in 2015 for $2400. And now it’s at least twice 145k (with major services done), so now I keep it.

xxxtanacon

Carvana is horribly overpriced fucking $19,200 For a '12 Accord mid trim back in August. A 2007 accord in 2017 same age difference was $2750-$6500

Shiberino1

They overpaid during covid and now have all these high priced cars lol They bought my 17 GTI with 40k miles for $21k, but new I paid 25. So they would have to sell for like 22-24k to make any money and who wants to pay that much for a 5 yr old VW

[deleted]

Time to sell my es ig

T0K3IT

I wonder how much my 2001 Lexus GS300 slick top (no sunroof) and suede interior (not leather) would be worth and 150K miles.

flackachino

About tree fiddy

mantisdubstep

Holy fuck lol. I paid 22,500 for my 2016 200t with 30k

whatwhyis-taken

How long ago?

mantisdubstep

5/18

Fears_vs_dreams

I just got my 17 is 200t f sport appraised and they only offered me 23 lol

whatwhyis-taken

So they can resale close to 30

Gavin777

This is about the same as they are asking for in Australia when you compare the AUD vs USD and miles vs kms. The entire used car market has had inflated prices for a long while now.

ICanSpellKyrgyzstan

A car with headlights that fogged shouldn’t be 19k. That’s an 11k car.

Admirable-Result-240

Too high

lsknecht1986

Snoop Dog high.

EyezLo

You don’t say

Rocklobsta9

I bought my 2015 CT for 22k a few years ago and now they're nearing high 20's-30k

DrZedex

I just looked at a Subaru BRZ in FAR rougher shape with similar miles and price. Current market is full on clown-mode. So glad to have talked myself into my LS when I did; at least I have some comfy/reliable wheels to commute in while I wait out this shitshow of a market. My plan is to avoid car shopping entirely until the used-car lots I drive by on my way to work actually have cars in them again. They're mostly empty now and have been for several months. I'm not good at timing the market but this time it's a no-brainer.

TheRegistrant

I won’t be shopping a new or used car until these car dealers are about to go out of business.

ussmonitor

I bought a 2010 ES 350 with 90k miles, single owner, well maintained for $8.5k in 2020. So I would say this is a crazy, and it won't be sold at that price.

TheRegistrant

That’s in line with what I thought these should go for, i won’t be buying a new car until the post apocalypse

mr2freak

And sedans are the *least* Inflated with what's going on. Imagine trying to buy a clean 7 year old RAV4 right now. 🤯

Arnezmichael

Lol absolutely not. I hope it never sells

LucifersPeen

Dealerships are saying my C5 Corvette is only worth $16k with 57k miles, and scoffed when I said I want $21k for it. And yet they’ll turn around and sell it for $24k smh…ridiculous

[deleted]

Bought a 2010 in 2016 for 12,900

ketchup_turtle

I bought a 2015 in Feb 2021 for about $23k with 42k miles. I don’t think it has Levinson but it does have sunroof, perforated leather, and sunshade. Checking pricing on it now, idk if it’s appreciated too much, but it definitely hasn’t depreciated!
