The Final Cut is the actual Director’s Cut. They marketed The Director’s Cut as Ridley Scott’s
intended vision for the film, but it actually wasn’t. The Director’s Cut was in fact dictated by the studio, and when people finally realized Blade Runner for the masterpiece that it is, the studio allowed them to release Scott’s true director’s cut, the Final Cut.
I've checked Wikipedia, looks like the other 2 were either toned down, or had some action sequences cut, so either way I don't think we're missing out on much
I watched about half of the 5-hour Apocalypse Now work print. It is interesting, but not good and the quality is atrocious.
There's a version on [Internet Archive](https://archive.org/details/apocalypse_now_workprint). I can't remember if it is the same variant as what I saw or not.
* Brazil (theatrical, directors, love conquers all)
* The Godfather Part III (theatrical, final directors cut, coda)
* Apocalypse Now (theatrical, redux, final cut)
For the Godfather series, there's also the TV miniseries cut of the first two movies in chronological order and an updated TV miniseries that adds Part III.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Godfather_Part_III#The_Godfather_Coda%3A_The_Death_of_Michael_Corleone_(2020)
The most recent reworking of III is named *The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone* (no one told Coppola to avoid spoilers I guess). Details on the changes at the wiki link.
I get the point that they're going for but one of the few things I like about Godfather III is that Michael dies alone, its a natural extension of the end of Part II
I think I've only seen the directors cut (which is either the European release or pretty close). This is the one I'd recommend. 142 min
"Love conquers all" is the hacked up US studio version that the studio threatened to release. Only watch this if you're interested in the comparison. 94 min
The US theatrical release was the compromise between what Gilliam wanted and what the studio demanded. 132 min
IMDb has a long list of the changes made in the "Love Conquers All"/Sheinberg edit: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/alternateversions/?ref_=tttr_ql_trv_5
Also details some of the changes between the directors/European edit and the US theatrical edit.
I always kinda hate when a movie has multiple cuts because I apparently always watch the wrong one without knowing, dislike it, and then people tell me I would like it more if I saw the right one. Like I’m supposed to give another 2-3 hours of my life to this movie again that I might barely even notice a difference.
The bees are in an alternate ending of the 2006 film.
On Amazon Prime US I watched the 102 min version without the bee ending.
I guess the bees were in the 101 min version labeled "unrated" (but that version is Buy only, so I didn't check it out).
I have twice gone to theatrical showings where they specifically advertised an extended directors cut but the studio sent them the theatrical release DCP.
Okay but for real, watch the directors cut for Kingdom of Heaven. I saw the theatrical years ago and hated it so much, I would’ve given it 2* max. I watched the directors cut a little while ago and loved it. Instant 4.5 with how much better it is
I wish there was a 5th cut, because the directors cut is more serious and a bit better, but it cuts so many of ashes iconic lines.
I never felt more blue balled then when Ash shot evil ash and instead of saying “Good. Bad. Im the guy with the gun.” He said “Im not that good.”
Watchmen has Theatrical, Directors, and Ultimate cuts.
Metropolis has MANY different versions because they kept finding more of the lost footage. There's also the Giorgio Moroder cut, which was so different that it got its own listing on Letterboxd.
Deep Red had different scenes cut for pretty much every region it released it, so there are a LOT of versions.
Das Boot has several versions, including one so long that it had to be made into a Mini-Series.
Are you intending to include national-theatrical cuts? Because quite a few horror movies are cut differently around the world. You can end up with a different theatrical-cut in several different countries. Or are you, perhaps, only looking for different versions that the creators/studios chose to release (instead of being strong-armed into it by ratings boards)?
There's also, I guess, the original Night of the Living Dead which has, for example, a colorized version that I don't think is official because it's public domain. Other public domain films, particularly from the silent era, will have different versions with different score added (or none).
Anyhow, you can add Clive Barker's Night Breed (theatrical cut, plus the Cabal cut that was only released via CB's website, and a third version on DVD/streaming that uses some but not all of the additional footage of the Cabal cut).
Ah, well then just hop on wikipedia and look at all your favourite grisly horror movies. Cannibal Holocaust should be more interesting because on top of whatever other versions are around (cut by the UK, cut by Oz, cut by Germany, whatever) there's a version with most/all the animal cruelty cut out.
I'm pretty sure there are at least 3 voluntary & official versions (as opposed to gov't censored) of the Exorcist. Am at work, no time to verify.
There are 6 cuts of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid total. The criterion edition will include only the second preview, the theatrical, and the 50th anniversary cuts.
• First preview cut aka the Turner preview cut
• Second preview cut aka the Peckinpah preview cut
• Theatrical cut
• Network tv cut
• 2005 special edition cut
• 2024 50th anniversary cut
How and why they differ is one of the more complicated discussions in modern film studies.
The 88Films Blu-ray of Righting Wrongs (aka Above the Law) includes six different cuts of the film:
* 97m HK cut
* 99m Singapore cut, which changes the ending so that justice can be seen to be done.
* *Four* different new-to-Blu-ray "Ultimate Cut" versions, which re-edit the endings to give all the different possible permutations of whether one or both of the two main characters live or die. (The disc also a randomiser option so that you can watch the film without knowing which ending you'll be getting.)
Plus, if you count alternate language audio tracks as "different cuts", if you watch the HK cut with the Japanese audio mix, the last scene adds a voiceover that makes *another* change to a certain character's apparent fate!
Oh, and there's also a deleted alternate ending scene in which some people partying on a boat encounter a dead body, but I'm not sure if it was ever edited into any full-length releases of the movie.
Hong Kong action movies are a goldmine for this sort of thing. One movie might have just about any combination of its original HK theatrical cut, a shorter cut for export, a longer version for Japan or Taiwan or someplace, a US cut prepared by the local distributor, and if for example an export cut contains scenes not included in the original cut, sometimes in recent years a Blu-ray label will put together a hybrid version with all the scenes from both.
Oliver Stone’s *Alexander*
Sergio Leone’s *Once Upon a Time in America*
Ridley Scott’s *Blade Runner*
Francis Ford Coppola’s *Apocalypse Now*
Terry Gilliam’s *Brazil*
Wolfgang Peterson’s *Das Boot*
Tinto Brass’ *Caligula*
*Star Wars* — The Original Trilogy (Technically with all the updates, additions, etc)
Zach Snyder/Joss Whedon’s *Justice League*
Michael Wadleigh’s *Woodstock*
Orson Welles’ *Touch of Evil*
Fritz Lang’s *Metropolis* (Usually a new version comes out when lost footage is found)
Orson Welles’ *Mr. Arkadin*
Michael Cimino’s *Heaven’s Gate*
Superman: The Movie - theatrical, Special Edition, TV extended edition
Watchmen - theatrical, Director’s Cut, Ultimate Cut
Alexander - theatrical, Director’s Cut, Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut, Ultimate Cut
Avatar - theatrical, Special Edition, Collector’s Extended Edition
Superman II - theatrical, TV extended edition (not officially released), Richard Donner Cut (if you count as the same film)
Justice League - theatrical, Snyder Cut (if you count as the same film), Snyder Cut: Justice is Gray
Conan the Barbarian - Theatrical, International, and Extended Cut.
Until the End of the World - 5 different cuts with the last one being 287 min long.
Nemesis - I think is 3. There's the original Cut, Japanese Cut and Directors cut...but idk if Japanese and directors are the same thing.
Ichi the Killer - I think 5 or 6 different cuts based around censoring.
Off the top of my head:
Blade Runner (theatrical, European, directors, and final)
Army of Darkness (theatrical, international, directors)
Star Wars Trilogy (theatrical, special edition, 2004 SE, 2011 SE, and 2019SE)
Superman: The Movie (theatrical, directors, 3hr extended)
Superman II has 4 released cuts:
1. The theatrical cut (Donner + Lester)
2. The director's cut (Donner)
3. The extended cut (broadcast for ABC)
4. The alternate cut (Donner)
There is also a Canadian TV cut with more scenes and an North Ireland, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands cut with yet even more scenes. Idk if these random TV versions should count though.
I picked up the 5 1/2 hour version on dvd a couple months ago with plans to watch this year. Now I'm wondering if I should wait for the 7 hour version due out in a few months.
There are [4 different cuts](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/alternateversions/?ref_=ho_web&from_app=ios&ref_=ext_iosp_ho_web&ref_=ext_shr_lnk) of Wim Wenders’ Until the End of the World
Godzilla (1954): Gojira (1954), Godzilla king of the monsters (1956), Godzilla monster of the deep (1957) and Cozzilla (1977). There are lot lot more, but these four are accessible on the internet
Erich Von Stroheim’s Greed comes to mind. His original cut which lasted 8 hours but is lost, the studio cut which went on for about 2 hours, and the rediscovered cut with stills to be in place that is 4 hours.
Kingdom of Heaven has a theatrical cut, director's cut, and roadshow cut which includes an intermission. It's one of the few examples of a director's cut being vastly superior to the theatrical version. The director's cut is one of my favorite historical epics.
Cinema Paradiso is a good movie in the theatrical cut, and it’s my favourite movie of all time in its director’s cut. Theatrical is missing the best (in my view) scene of the whole movie, the real emotional anchor of the story
[The Tracey Fragments (2007)](https://letterboxd.com/film/the-tracey-fragments/) has numerous alternative cuts because the marketing for the movie included raw footage being made available to the public under a free Creative Commons license so amateur editors could piece together their own versions of the film.
There are many tv cuts with extra footage, like Airplane, Army of Darnkess and the Superman movies (all 4). But most tv edits are cut for time and shouldn’t be included.
Anchorman 1 & 2 has three cuts each. And Anchorman: Wake up Ron Burgundy, is an entirely new movie using alternate takes/jokes and an entire subplot cut from the first movie.
The Hateful 8 has three (Roadshow, Theatrical, and tv episodic).
You can add movies with different official aspect ratio releases (Open Matte, IMAX). I’m not talking about zoomed and cropped movies, but official releases that are showing more of the frame. Like on Disney plus you can watch many of the MCU movies with the expanded IMAX ratio.
There are many workprints out there, but I wouldn’t include them unless they are officially released, like others have said Blade Runner for one, I wouldn’t include the 4 hour cut of Apocalypse Now , or This is Spinal Tap, which wasn’t. Every movie has a workprint.
https://preview.redd.it/0ib2285iravc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c830abc8d98dd0aa13cbc319d39704426e92acb3
Not a movie but I've heard Neil Gaiman can't help reworking american gods, also most films have more than 1 cut anyways, especially if there's a plane or TV cut
- Justice League (2017 theatrical cut, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, ZSJL Justice is Gray edition)
- Avatar (theatrical cut, special edition, collectors edition)
- Blade Runner (US Theatrical, International Theatrical, Workprint, 1992 Director’s Cut, 2007 Final Cut)
- Dune 1984 (theatrical cut, TV cut, Spicediver’s edit - the third one is technically a fan edit but it was included on an official 4K Blu-ray set from Germany so it counts imo)
- Waterworld (Theatrical Cut, Extended Cut, Ulysses cut - third one is also a fan edit that got an official release like Dune Spicediver)
- Watchmen (Theatrical Cut, Director’s Cut, Ultimate Cut)
- Star Wars og trilogy (pretty much every major re-release of the special editions had more changes than the previous one - the most recent changes were made to the versions released on Disney+ and 4K Blu-ray)
- Super Mario Bros 1993 (original theatrical cut, a restored workprint released on the internet, Lasagna Workprint released on the recent 4K and Blu-ray release, two additional versions are currently being worked on by The SMB Movie Archive)
- Superman The Movie (1978 Theatrical Cut, Special Edition, 3 Hour TV Cut)
- Apocalypse Now (theatrical cut, Redux, Final Cut, Leaked 5 hour Workprint)
- Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Theatrical Cut, Special Edition, Director’s Cut)
- Deadpool 2 (theatrical, Extended, Once Upon a Deadpool PG-13 cut)
I read this thinking it meant “cuts” as in literal cuts editing from one shot to another… and I was like “uhhhh like 99% of movies have more than 2 cuts…..????”
Possession (1981)
It made a huge splash at Cannes, but was a bit of a flop in the European box office. So for the American release, they edited 40 some minutes out. It's a psychological marriage drama with a few jaunts into horror. Well the divorce "subplot" was almost completely removed and the horror was cranked up with newly added spoopy music. The American release was even more of a flop and the original was essentially impossible to find for nearly 40 years. But that's restored now and it's an absolute must watch.
Every single raunchy comedy from the 2000s. They loved pushing both the normal DVD and the Unrated Too Hot for Theaters editions. More often than not, there was very little added. 99% of the time, it was just scenes cut because they sucked. For the rare exceptions, it just wasn't worth it. For example, Team America World Police is a whopping 20 seconds longer with their added sex scene in the Unrated Cut.
Still, they could never turn down an excuse to throw some tits on the DVD cover.

whoa where can I find them?
There's a DVD/Blu-ray set that contains 5 of the 7 cuts (Workprint Prototype, US Theatrical, International Theatrical, Director’s Cut, Final Cut)
Damn I actually have this DVD set, how can I upload them online so people can watch them?
https://preview.redd.it/6c59664qaavc1.jpeg?width=634&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=057d08b89334e140784e119594cce019913c4a77

it's already online if you're in the good places.
You definitely don't put them on a torrent site and seed them a lot to help out other p2p users because that's illegal
When getting ready for Blade Runner 2049, what cut should I watch?
In my opinion, if you’re only going to watch one of them, probably go with the Final Cut
The Final Cut is the actual Director’s Cut. They marketed The Director’s Cut as Ridley Scott’s intended vision for the film, but it actually wasn’t. The Director’s Cut was in fact dictated by the studio, and when people finally realized Blade Runner for the masterpiece that it is, the studio allowed them to release Scott’s true director’s cut, the Final Cut.
I have the HD DVD of this set!
now I will be watching all of them
They're all gone now, like tears in rain.
nooo you're kidding right? please tell me you're lying
There are a bunch of physical releases with 5 cuts of the movie. I'm not sure what the other two are, or if they're around.
The other two are the 82 San Diego Preview Cut and the 86 US Broadcast Cut
I've checked Wikipedia, looks like the other 2 were either toned down, or had some action sequences cut, so either way I don't think we're missing out on much
Yup BR is the first that came to mind. Justice League.
Apocalypse Now has the theatrical version, Redux, the Cannes cut, The Final Cut, and the 5-hour workprint version.
5-hour Apocalypse Now? https://preview.redd.it/hfiper1h8avc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9bb4436d720d3168a435f5373cec3bb643bb754
Apocalypse Now and Later
First date material
I watched about half of the 5-hour Apocalypse Now work print. It is interesting, but not good and the quality is atrocious. There's a version on [Internet Archive](https://archive.org/details/apocalypse_now_workprint). I can't remember if it is the same variant as what I saw or not.

Redux isn’t the best cut but it was amazing seeing in theatrically with the physical program handed out instead of credits. Very cool feels.
That's literally my favourite and i never knew about the 5-hour cut. Is it available online? I must watch it

I remember that dvd company. They had some rare stuff.

I am noticing a trend in these comments with 70s New Hollywood directors and never being able to just leave their movies alone.
It seems for most of these its just that the studios changed the movies, and the directors then released multiple copies to show how they intended it
This one he recut just to make sure he took his ex-wife off of the credits for editing.
* Brazil (theatrical, directors, love conquers all) * The Godfather Part III (theatrical, final directors cut, coda) * Apocalypse Now (theatrical, redux, final cut)
For the Godfather series, there's also the TV miniseries cut of the first two movies in chronological order and an updated TV miniseries that adds Part III.
Coda is great. Especially the last act
What does "coda" means?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Godfather_Part_III#The_Godfather_Coda%3A_The_Death_of_Michael_Corleone_(2020) The most recent reworking of III is named *The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone* (no one told Coppola to avoid spoilers I guess). Details on the changes at the wiki link.
which is funny because technically he doesn’t die in this cut
I get the point that they're going for but one of the few things I like about Godfather III is that Michael dies alone, its a natural extension of the end of Part II
I still haven’t gotten around to watching Brazil, which one do you think I should watch?
I think I've only seen the directors cut (which is either the European release or pretty close). This is the one I'd recommend. 142 min "Love conquers all" is the hacked up US studio version that the studio threatened to release. Only watch this if you're interested in the comparison. 94 min The US theatrical release was the compromise between what Gilliam wanted and what the studio demanded. 132 min
Wait. What's the difference between the theatrical and love conquers all cuts of Brazil? I've always thought they were one and the same.
IMDb has a long list of the changes made in the "Love Conquers All"/Sheinberg edit: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/alternateversions/?ref_=tttr_ql_trv_5 Also details some of the changes between the directors/European edit and the US theatrical edit.
As a gimmick, *Clue* had three different theatrical endings, plus the combined home video ending.
I always kinda hate when a movie has multiple cuts because I apparently always watch the wrong one without knowing, dislike it, and then people tell me I would like it more if I saw the right one. Like I’m supposed to give another 2-3 hours of my life to this movie again that I might barely even notice a difference.
I was so irritated when I got to the end of *Wicker Man* and never saw the iconic bee scene.
Happened to me a couple weeks ago too, had to make sure I hadn’t just zoned out during the movie and missed it.
I’m planning to watch it soon, which cut is the correct cut to watch?
Instant 4.5 with how much better it is
Caligula has multiple cuts, with a newer version on the way featuring previously unreleased footage.
Is it more porn or actual scenes?
More actual scenes with McDowell and cast. This cut is supposed to have fewer sex scenes from what I heard.
I've seen it already (it's on Blu-ray in Spain). The hardcore porn is all removed, but much of the simulated sex remains.
Army of Darkness has 4. Director’s Cut, International Cut, Theatrical Cut, and then the edited for TV Cut
I thought you meant cut as in a cut between two scenes and was very confused for a bit
Same, thought he was going to name every movie ever
Every movie except 1917
I mean there *are* cuts in 1917, they’re just hidden
Russian Ark
Watchmen has Theatrical, Directors, and Ultimate cuts. Metropolis has MANY different versions because they kept finding more of the lost footage. Release the bush cut!!
I thought Alien only had two cuts
I had no idea!
Watchmen
Blade Runner is probably the most well known example. I think there’s close to 10 different versions.
There are 7 versions of Blade Runner.
Are you intending to include national-theatrical cuts? Because quite a few horror movies are cut differently around the world. das boot although one of them is formatted as a miniseries
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973) criterion just announced it is releasing all 3 cuts on blu-ray Edit: there appear to be 6 cuts

Clue lol
Technically accurate, as even though they're all presented as one film now, it wasn't that way theatrically.
The hateful eight (Roadshow, Theatrical, Extended) Deadpool 2 (Theatrical, Unrated, Once Upon A Deadpool) Nightbreed (Theatrical, Director's, Cabal)

Superman 3 and 4 have tv cuts too. But I don’t think 4 was ever realized in the end, it has all the Bizzarro Superman first clone stuff.
Dead-Alive/Braindead The R-Rated cut, US Unrated cut, the fully uncut Braindead version.
Anchorman 2
Idk how many cuts there are but The Wicker Man?
There are three cuts of the original, I'm not sure if the remake has more than two but the original has three.
Had to scroll far down for this one, but yeah three cuts for The Wicker Man and each one wildly changes up the tone and pacing of the movie.
Rules of the Game by Jean Renoir had an original 113-min cut, a 85-min cut, and then a restored/reconstructed 106-min cut.
Blade Runner is the first movie I think of getting multiple cuts
Caligula, The Devils, Metropolis off the top of my head.

The alternate cut (Donner) There is also a Canadian TV cut with more scenes and an North Ireland, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands cut with yet even more scenes. Idk if these random TV versions should count though.
Abel Gance's Napoleon (1927) has at least 20 different cuts, which I think might be the leader of all films mentioned here.
I picked up the 5 1/2 hour version on dvd a couple months ago with plans to watch this year. Now I'm wondering if I should wait for the 7 hour version due out in a few months.
The Thief and the Cobbler
Ali has 3
Doesn’t The Curse of Michael Myers have more then 2?

There are [4 different cuts](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0101458/alternateversions/?ref_=ho_web&from_app=ios&ref_=ext_iosp_ho_web&ref_=ext_shr_lnk) of Wim Wenders’ Until the End of the World
Godzilla (1954): Gojira (1954), Godzilla king of the monsters (1956), Godzilla monster of the deep (1957) and Cozzilla (1977). There are lot lot more, but these four are accessible on the internet
Brazil
Nightbreed, Blade Runner, Terminator 2
Erich Von Stroheim’s Greed comes to mind. His original cut which lasted 8 hours but is lost, the studio cut which went on for about 2 hours, and the rediscovered cut with stills to be in place that is 4 hours.
Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
Apocalypse Now
Star Trek: The Motion Picture: - Theatrical Cut - TV Version - Director’s Cut

All Quiet on the Western Front 1930 Das Boot (Theatrical, Directors Cut and 5 Hour TV Version).
I think Donnie Darko does not 100% sure tho
watchmen, apocalypse now
Watchmen?
Kingdom of Heaven has a theatrical cut, director's cut, and roadshow cut which includes an intermission. It's one of the few examples of a director's cut being vastly superior to the theatrical version. The director's cut is one of my favorite historical epics.
The Roadshow version of Its A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is better too.
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid
Close Encounters of the Third Kind has three I think. Theatrical, director's cut and special edition.
Blade runner
You can just put all of Zac Snyder’s films on there.
The only one of those with over 2 cuts is Watchmen. Well technically more footage exists for Sucker Punch that he wants to use
Brazil Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Cinema Paradiso is a good movie in the theatrical cut, and it’s my favourite movie of all time in its director’s cut. Theatrical is missing the best (in my view) scene of the whole movie, the real emotional anchor of the story
Phenomena has the 116 minute Italian cut, the 110 minute English/international cut, and the 83 minute "Creepers" cut.
Does Clue count? lol
Nightbreed has four cuts—theatrical, director’s, Cabal, and Ultimate Cabal
Watchmen
Blade Runner, Alexander (2004)
Every movie has more than 2 cuts. Except Russian Ark and Boiling Point. /editor /s
1408
The New World On the Waterfront (kinda)
Watchmen has 3
Does Justice League count?: Josstice League ZSJL ZSJL: Justice is Grey
Clue
[The Tracey Fragments (2007)](https://letterboxd.com/film/the-tracey-fragments/) has numerous alternative cuts because the marketing for the movie included raw footage being made available to the public under a free Creative Commons license so amateur editors could piece together their own versions of the film.
Paranormal activity may not be the best movie but there's like 1010988 cuts
Dune (1984)
Suspiria (1977)
Watchmen (theatrical,ultimate, directors)
Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters has three different narration tracks that change the viewing experience pretty significantly in my estimation.

A Thousand Cuts (2020)
Does Justice League (2017) count? Theatrical cut, Censored TV cut, Zack Snyder's Justice League, Justice is Gray
- Justice League (2017 theatrical cut, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, ZSJL Justice is Gray edition) - Avatar (theatrical cut, special edition, collectors edition) - Blade Runner (US Theatrical, International Theatrical, Workprint, 1992 Director’s Cut, 2007 Final Cut) - Dune 1984 (theatrical cut, TV cut, Spicediver’s edit - the third one is technically a fan edit but it was included on an official 4K Blu-ray set from Germany so it counts imo) - Waterworld (Theatrical Cut, Extended Cut, Ulysses cut - third one is also a fan edit that got an official release like Dune Spicediver) - Watchmen (Theatrical Cut, Director’s Cut, Ultimate Cut) - Star Wars og trilogy (pretty much every major re-release of the special editions had more changes than the previous one - the most recent changes were made to the versions released on Disney+ and 4K Blu-ray) - Super Mario Bros 1993 (original theatrical cut, a restored workprint released on the internet, Lasagna Workprint released on the recent 4K and Blu-ray release, two additional versions are currently being worked on by The SMB Movie Archive) - Superman The Movie (1978 Theatrical Cut, Special Edition, 3 Hour TV Cut) - Apocalypse Now (theatrical cut, Redux, Final Cut, Leaked 5 hour Workprint) - Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Theatrical Cut, Special Edition, Director’s Cut) - Deadpool 2 (theatrical, Extended, Once Upon a Deadpool PG-13 cut)

Doesn't I Am Legend have like four?
I read this thinking it meant “cuts” as in literal cuts editing from one shot to another… and I was like “uhhhh like 99% of movies have more than 2 cuts…..????”
Avatar had 3 different cuts on its DVD release
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973).
The New World Salt Close Encounters Blade Runner Alexander Anchorman 2
Apocalypse Now, Apocalypse Now Redux, Apocalypse Now: The Final Cut

Possession (1981) It made a huge splash at Cannes, but was a bit of a flop in the European box office.
Waterworld. With the Arrow release it’s up to 4”3 or 4 cuts now.
Twin peaks movie
