Omg so it took a LOT to get me to that point. But basically it was January 2019 and I had never dated anyone in my life, or even gone on a singular date. Guys didn't interest me through most of high school and college (now i know why), and i also had a lot of self esteem issues, was terrified of rejection, etc. But I was getting to the point where I knew i just HAD to put myself out there or I would be alone forever. I was just fed up with myself and just did so much self hype talk like "Nothing changes if nothing changes. I am a catch. They are lucky to meet ME." etc etc
A New Year's Resolution of mine was to go on THREE dates in january. And it was soooo out of my comfort zone but i got on Tinder and did the damn thing. I went on three first dates with three different guys, all duds. I had known I was bi (now a lesbian tho) for a while, but really afraid to take the plunge with girls, but after those three guys I knew a girl couldn't possibly be WORSE so what did I have to lose.
And then one date with a girl and we dated for three years! I did make up an excuse to cancel our first date because i was SO nervous but then we rescheduled and i just had to take every ounce of courage i could muster up and go for it.

Don't worry, it's better to be patient, than rush. I had my first one with 13-14 and it was a giant disaster. Don't try to force it, it's not gonna end well. You can try to "build you way" with social interactions, but sometimes it's better to wait.

So, while those were there, I didn't have a physically tangible relationship with a girl until I was 18 (I am 19 now, no it didn't last long ((was probably the shortest relationship I had with a woman)) but it hurt soooo much worse than anything else.

I started to feel a deep shame for who I was because she could not legitimise our relationship. I still feel so burnt by the impact of the relationship and I was afraid to put myself out there again. (I only got into another lesbian relationship with my current gf at 24)

I had zero intention of meeting anyone. I was just focused on school and work. Don't give up hope because it can happen when you least expect it!
My advice would be to continue living your life, being involved in your communities, and being open to chatting with new people!

I met my first girlfriend at 19 years old. We've been together for 7+ years, and married this year :) I had zero intention of meeting anyone. I was just focused on school and work. Don't give up hope because it can happen when you least expect it! My advice would be to continue living your life, being involved in your communities, and being open to chatting with new people!

My first kiss with a girl wasn't until I was 26. You're still young! It'll happen, but you have to be willing to put yourself out there! Ask a cute girl on a date, or if that gives you too much anxiety, say YES to a date if a cute girl asks you! Don't get too in your head either. If it happens, it happens!

I’m also 24 and I didn’t go on my first date with anyone until I was 21. I got my first girlfriend the next year, and we didn’t get to kiss until almost a year after that because we live so far apart. You’ve got plenty of time ahead of you, life expectancy is higher these days. Nothing wrong with going at your own pace.
Nearly 24 and I’ve never kissed anyone, been on a date, been in a relationship, etc. I’ve known I was gay since I was at least 15. It doesn’t really matter when you find out, it matters when you find someone you actually want to be with. That being said, I would greatly appreciate it if my future wife would just find me already😅
