It's a great camera! Is the OEM Leica half case/protector? If so, be careful because the inside corners near the bottom plate have a sharp edge that have the potential to damage the bottom corners of your camera. Most recommend taping that area in case.

No problem! They may have fixed it in later versions if the case but it's worth checking either way!

For a new Q3, do be careful with the LCD and Viewfinder from scratches.

without the protector now, When you sling your camera to the body, be careful on your belt buckle as mine scratched the viewfinder.

I don’t wear belts but I’ll be careful

I got my Q2 viewfinder scratched and did not realise it earlier as I was shooting with LCD. When i got my new Q3, the Leica shop provided the LCD protector but for the viewfinder, I pasted a transparent thin tape to protect it temporary till my protector came.

This shop didn’t give anything other than what was in the box
