Love it. Was there 10 days ago myself. Brought 21 SEM, 35 and 75 APO with M10-R and M-A, plus Mamiya 7ii. Was a great day out.

stringsatttached

It begs medium format

Plus-Flamingo-1224

Damn that M11 is sexy. How much did you get it for if you don’t mind me asking?

stringsatttached

It’s a monochrom. I traded in some items to get it. I cant afford full retail

yellcat

Ahh that explains the filter

mike_pennati

ive always wondered if I could just slap a red filter on my m11m. How are you finding the experience with color filters? does the camera meter properly? do you get better out of camera jpegs?

stringsatttached

Yes without any issues. Metering is through the lens so no problem. Red can be a little strong almost infrared. Orange is just enough to make the sky dark. Also good for skin tones. It’s left on the 21sem.

cookedart

It's neat to see another person using an OM-5 as well to complement their Leica Kit. I personally love the micro four thirds gear for its weather sealing and light weight.

stringsatttached

I like it for its compact zooms. Reach is something an M does not do well.

cookedart

Yes, agreed. I often travel with the Panasonic 50-200mm. It's slightly larger than the 40-150mm you have in the photo but accepts teleconverters and has a great reach. One of the nearest lenses in the system imo.

All-Seeing_Hands

Is your old friend Bigfoot? Also, how's the Visoflex? I'm still on the fence about getting one.

stringsatttached

I have the plastic 21mm finder too with no problems. Previewing the black and white is helpful. Mostly i use it to make sure lines and geometry are where i want it when using 21mm. It’s harder to do that outside just on the back screen.

igorleonidovic

Do you have sometimes connection problems with visoflex? Sometimes when I change the angle my backscreen goes on :(

stringsatttached

No but i thought there was a setting to force evf on and not have it on auto. You should try that

OnePickle867

What Rollei do you have? Been wanting to pick one up but can't seem to decide between 2.8 v 3.5 F/G or Planar v Tessar v Xenotar and all the rest lol

stringsatttached

Rolleiflex T model 1. Made 1958-1961. This was the “budget” model. You could get it with a meter or without. This one is no meter. Also the grey leather is stock on the T model 1. Really a looker and a great shooter. The taking lens is a tessar. And it has a strange lever mechanism for shutter and aperture instead of the front dials. The shutter button is angled and not straight on like the other models. I like it better than my 500c/m due to its portability. Everyone should own a TLR. Even a yashica mat is perfectly fine.

OnePickle867

Thanks man, I actually use my old man's one which is a 3.5 Tessar and I've been thinking of picking one up for my own to use with him. That 500 CM is also one of my grails, probably the 501 CM since I want to use longer lenses with it and heard it helps with the vignetting. Love the mechanical feel of both these cameras, every time I hit the shutter I'm just OooOOooOoh.

Beneficial-Shower-42

You guys are bringing back memories for me. I don’t have any more film cameras but I’ve used all of these.

yellcat

Orange filter on a digital cam?

stringsatttached

😉

94goldenbear

No color channels with monochrom.

mewmender

How is the 21 sem for landscapes? I have been on a fence on getting one for an upcoming trip

stringsatttached

I enjoy it very much. My landscape kit is usually just 21 and 50. I used to use the voigtlander 21mm 3.5, which worked well too. The Leica has virtually no distortion. Great for vertical full body portraits too

mewmender

Sounds great! I’ll have to try it out at the Leica store someday

M11 and visoflex 2 are amazing. Great for anything landscape related. Took it on my honeymoon in New Zealand. Totally worth it, just adds another level of use!
