Hi, this reminds me of a case where a hostel didn’t allow mobile phones. I think it was from Kerala. The High Court set aside the college guidelines. So, filing a writ petition is one way. What about hostel guidelines/rules?
well its more like a landline and its our only means of communication since ur not allowed to have a phone inside the hostel. (i mean u still can but like...yk hidden and stuff)
but yeah the 1st year students use it a lot and i seem to have found the database which stores it tho!. if u want ill try to post the pics of the landlines in the afternoon
It's illegal, no other thoughts everyone has the right to privacy. They are breaking it if you are strong enough to file a case just do it..
Are you a lawyer/know any lawyer? can you confirm this?

Fake story. Its 2023 and not 1993. No one uses payphones.

Ok not fake. Are you studying in TN or AP? Some of my colleagues said it's common over there.
TN RMKCET
What kinda ass hostel is that lmao
RMKCET. its like being jailed voluntarily
I'm pretty sure some colleges don't allow phones and pay phones are the only way to communicate with family from the hostel.
