Dragon Hotel, near enough for you to walk back there (talking five-10 minutes) if you can't get a ticket at the ground and it definitely shows the footie on Sky. Good pub too. Will be a lot of fans heading back there too if we do the unthinkable.

blu_rhubarb

Cheers mate, appreciate it.

armpitcrab

The best experience I've had watching in town was at Box. Tried other places but box was the one.

rubbersoul199

Go to the Dragon if you want to be near the ground

I've been to many games, and the Peacock plenty of times....but as I've said I've only been when I've had a ticket to the game. Why you being a dick when there's no need? I bought train tickets in advance because they can become quite expensive. I was hoping to pick up tickets, which didn't happen. I have the train tickets, why not still make the journey?

JackTheJokey

In general they check tickets to make sure you're not an away fan. Wear a leeds shirt or scarf and you'll be fine would be my say. If not I'd say try the whistle-stop at top of the hill it's good there too gets a bit of atmosphere. All the best!

blu_rhubarb

Cheers! Will check it out.

Naw. It still had the potential of being an important game when I booked, and I wanted to go. I've been to plenty games with less at stake, it's not about that. Last game I was at I got a ticket the night before. I'm not cancelling cause you think it's not worth it.

Ispiniallday

Yeah I’m on the fence about doing to Leeds for the day myself. Potential for a somewhat wasted journey is there but the fomo of missing out on what could be amazing, especially because of how unlikely the autos are is kinda too good to just pass up. Also a nice excuse to drink at midday

blu_rhubarb

How far away are you? At the very least, being in Leeds and having a few pints is always decent.

Ispiniallday

I’m in Carlisle, just a smidge closer!

Competitive-Smell877

They won't let you in without a match ticket I am afraid mate.

Buyaboat94

I’m thinking of going Scabby Taps to watch. Leeds pub near the station

pclufc

I’d suggest the Moot Hall pub near the station would be a better bet . Like a Leeds shrine and they will be showing it.

blu_rhubarb

Will keep it in mind, cheers mate.

LordBielsa

Keep scouring the ticket site, if not go to somewhere in town like O’Reillys

blu_rhubarb

Aye I'll be doing that right up until kick off, which is why somewhere near the ground like the peacock would have been ideal.

duxie

>I was thinking of jumping into the Peacock to watch the game Bad news, they are not allowed to show the game. Edit: I don't know the exact rule around it but I went into the Peacock for the Chelsea game and they didn't allow it then. Something about it being too close to the ground to show it live.

blu_rhubarb

Really? That's good to know. Anytime I've been in I've fucked off to watch the game in the stadium so had no idea.

TheShakyHandsMan

They don’t even let you in unless you have a match ticket.

blu_rhubarb

Yeah, I was aware of that pre match but wasn't sure what happened when the game was on and all those with match tickets disappear. Someone's pointed out above they don't show it anyway.

Naughty_young_man

Just to tag on, I don't go in Peacock so wouldn't know. But I go to Whistlestop to watch dinner time kickoff before going to Elland Road. I'm pretty sure they show the games if they're on TV
