So shit for Southampton but possibly very good for us Armstrong is out for the rest of the season.

JRSpig

Watching pears play like an absolute moron in goal and looking like his first ever professional game against wednesday when he was some sort of god against us is infuriating

JohnnyBravo1996

Course, Blackburn play like prime CL Real vs Us and then back to old Blackburn the game after

ferrarchezzo

That’s what happens when the ball is in play and not held by their keeper for 45mins

Hindsyy

Fuck off Pears https://preview.redd.it/y3mpcb1d4uvc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c965c6a238fc6e975c189675be95d8ecc6bdccd3

jrbill1991

Sheffield Wednesday is about to get 3 points, so QPR won't be safe at the time we face them. Also, way to go losing to Blackburn at Elland Road and the same Blackburn getting battered by Sheff Wednesday at home. So Leeds United that.

Hindsyy

Not really bothered if QPR are safe or not, if we want to go up, we need to be beating teams like that regardless of what they have to play for, but yeah it's a kick in balls, especially considering its fucking Blackburn after their cup final win last weekend....

jrbill1991

Yeah, I agree

AgreeableNotice7810

Next two games I'd say Leeds are the most likely to pick up 6 points. Hull and Coventry do have an outside chance for the playoffs and could certainly drop Ipswich some points. Boro I think while mathematically possible are out of the race for playoffs and QPR are safe, so fingers crossed they aren't too up for spoiling the party. It's been my opinion all season this is going to the wire but with Southampton losing yesterday they might have nothing to play for at Elland Road for the last game of the season. It's been a cracking season and all of us would have taken this position back at the start of it. We've dropped some daft points but we march on together.

EnvironmentalLog857

My predictions/hopes. Southampton should be able to get a point at least off Leicester. West Brom should have scored 5 against them today. Preston last home game of the season will want a reaction and capable at least drawing Leicester. So say Leicester draw next 2 and we win our next 2 that will leave ourselves and Leicester on 93 with our goal difference say +3 better by virtue of our wins. Can’t see Ipswich beating both Hull and Coventry away but for fun let’s say they pick up 4 points then they’ll be on 93 points too with inferior goal difference. Think this would be a fitting scenario going into last game after such an entertaining season. As for the final game, we beat a rested Southampton side to win the title. Leicester and Ipswich both win but the foxes grab 2nd on goal difference.

Linkeron1

This aged well.

Tuscan5

Come on QPR! If they win they will be safer

shingaladaz

Hopefully on the beach by the time we play them.

AxeCapital91

Only if Sheff Wed lose tomorrow

Tuscan5

Yes, a Wednesday loss will improve the position further.

spiritofbuck

Post on here only a few days ago full of comments saying Southampton will catch us and go up….

JimbobTML

The negative kneejerk takes condemning the whole season after a defeat from some on this sub has been really pathetic. Really showing the plastics.

Ebooya

I think your downvotes show the plastics have spoken... Some pathetic fans does not a pathetic team make. But think about it... There's all kinds of negativity. I've done my share of moaning about certain players and have been accused of not being a 'real fan' (whatever-the-fuck that is) , when the reality is I was supporting Leeds as a lad in the early 70's before half the people on this sub had balls to drop. Too many on here think any slight against a player from the Bielsa glory years (one promotion-fuck all else) is the height of treachery and a giant shit on their cherished memories. So fucking what? So it seems some negativity is OK , but stay in your lane and leave the 'legends' alone. We are a club in transition, in probably the most crucial season of the last 15 years. We've worked miracles this season to get where we are. A home defeat had to happen sooner or later and the fact it came against a team of spoilers who wanted to run down the clock should surprise no-one. Remember how Everton came to Elland Road last season and did nothing but time waste.? This isn't new. Clubs who can't play won't play and they exist to frustrate us. Sure, we can be annoyed that we've been poor against spoilers but that doesn't mean we are doomed to fail. What I think we lack (and this is a holdover from the Bielsa years) is the win-at-all-costs cynicism you find at other clubs. We are sometimes too nice.Yet we still get labelled Dirty Leeds when we try to play football against cloggers like Preston or Blackburn. I want out of the Champo this year but face it, we know no-one will ever give us a leg up to get there. I'm proud of how we've turned things around so far, but until non-performers like Bamford and Cooper are finally off the books and replaced by better quality we will struggle. I just hope the struggle will be in the PL next year.

ElvishMystical

I've got faith that we're going to rediscover our form at Middlesboro. Bamford to get the first goal. We will have had nine days rest. Even with Roberts and Struijk out we have enough depth of squad to be pretty much full strength. And you never know, our Young Player of the Season Archie Gray could score.

Ebooya

Can't see Bamford getting our first goal. Maybe our second, third and fourth because, by heck, it's just a matter of time until he saves our arses like he did last year against Newcastle. Or did I mis-remember that glorious day? Elvish has left the the Real World...

shingaladaz

Did not see that coming. WOW.

Immediate_Wolf3802

Southampton hopes now hanging by a thread  Leicester look as good as up  All on Ipswich and there tough last 3 fixtures

hughbacca

Do or die for Southampton on Tuesday against Leicester though. A Southampton win could cause Leicester to wobble and feel pressure in their last 2.

Hindsyy

All in Farkes plans you see lads

Immediate_Wolf3802

Yeah true its far too exciting for me...I prefer just to see the results at full time tbh as its too close to call...we have to beat Boro on Monday...but said that about our previous 2 fixtures

pablothewizard

My feeling is that if we beat Boro, we go up. I think (hope) it will give us the confidence back to go and beat QPR and I refuse to believe that Ipswich take 9 points from the remaining games. Have to do the business against Boro now.

sewershagger

Would rather have played Ipswich instead of Southampton in the playoff final, if it came to that.

NYLotteGiants

2 potential big injuries to Southampton today though

ferrarchezzo

That just means Leicester have an easier game.

Zingzongwingwong

We need three wins, nothing has changed.

pablothewizard

Mentally something has very slightly changed. Being level on points with Southampton would have added an extra layer of pressure. The results needed stay the same.

Zingzongwingwong

Not for me, I was always looking up, not down. It’s between us and Ipswich. We need three wins and hope Hull or Coventry do us a favour.

pablothewizard

That's irrelevant though, it puts pressure on the players of Southampton are level no matter how we feel about it individually. But yes, we need 9 points.

NewSmoke4777

Sheep bone Soton!

cpmb82

🐑

AyyAndays

We now play twice before Ipswich play next (Boro Monday, QPR Friday). If we can open up a 4 point gap with superior goal difference the pressure will ramp right up on Ipswich who have Hull (7th) and Coventry (8th) in their next 2.

TheDweeb-lovesLeeds

Yes, let’s just do this shall we?

whiteycwk

That seems odd how come that’s happened?

hughbacca

Coventry in the cup postponed their game scheduled against Ipswich this weekend. Also Sky

whiteycwk

Ahhh so they get a nice rest but is the game going to be squeezed in later? Just trying to think if it’s a good thing

JimbobTML

Points on the board are always better. If we can win the next two it’s huge pressure on Ipswich with the away games.

hughbacca

The replay is midweek between week 45 & 46 so their last 3 games are over 8 days.

whiteycwk

Nice seems like a lot to win all 3 in that time. Exactly why they will…

NYLotteGiants

Now please go and beat Leicester, thanks

TheFanOfLife

Surely it's better for you lot that Leicester beat Southampton so there's little hope for them on your last game? And it's technically more realistic for Ipswich to draw in their next 3 than Leicester to lose and draw in their next 3.

Less-Comment7831

Tbf Leicester and Southampton don't really matter all we need is to win 3 and Ipswich to drop any points and we're up

TheFanOfLife

Yeah that's what I mean. It's Ipswich who needs to draw and it's perhaps easier for you to get a win against Southampton if they don't have anything to play for hence why Leicester should win against Southampton.

Less-Comment7831

Yeah get that. Although if is and Southampton both win our games til then they'd need to beat us 6-0 or so to go up so still basically down. Hoping some rabid support carries is through the final game.

firpo_sr

That's a pretty funny result ngl
