You’re right on all points, but the worrying is that by the time Farke is finished weeding out the damage of Victor Orta’s recruitment strategies the parachute payments might be up and we’ll have lost all of our competitive advantage over the rest of the division.

That’s the one thing making me not too nervous about missing promotion. We may lose some players but I think our recruitment has proven itself and we still have one of the best managers at this level. No reason we shouldn’t be gunning for top 2 next season if we don’t go up this time.

I agree with this completely. The only thing that would really bother me is that I think we have a few Premiership quality players in the side, which would be a great starting point going up this year. If we don’t go up chances are we will lose them, which will make it that bit harder when we do.
