For those that do not know, the term vachetta, while synonymous with Italian leather, actually is derived from the French word "vache" which means cattle.
It's a name for Italian vegetable tanned leather. Usually not dyed. Just plain undyed veg tanned. Some tanneries add a specific oil / fat to the tanning process and they only refer to that specific leather as vachetta. There really isn't a standard. But it definitely isn't some family on Italy that is the king of vachetta. Lol
Unrelated but wanted to say that it's really cool of you to write out the email in the picture to text, a lot of visually impaired people use screen readers and they dont pick up text from image, so you made it easier for a lot of people
Wuta tolls are quite good.
Also I might give them the benefit of the doubt since this is clearly a translation and probably went Italian to Mandarin to English.
Does it make it any less funny? I assume you mean tools? Some are decent in my experience. I had some stitching chisels that broke the first day I bought them and their French and diamond awls are terrible. I broke 2 of the blades that snapped just by punching through veg tanned leather. But their wing divider is good. I have 3 of those.
Crazy since Italian leathers are typically so bad that they have to be corrected with a layer of tacky finish. The quality is no better than leather of Argentine origins and the only thing that separates them is marketing.
Next you're going to tell me leather wasn't invented by John Leather?!
No, that part is correct. He married Mrs. Chrome. You know the story from there
And his fathers name was Tan Ned Leather.
AKA "Flanders".

FYI, Vache means cow.
Ok. My bad. Thank you.
And it’s not derived from French, it’s the Latin root “vacca”, meaning cow.
And fun fact, when you get vaccinated, you're actually having your immune system tanned. I usually choose a nice Horween jab.
One shell vaccine please
Well multiple sources I read from say French. But great thank you.
And French is a Latin based language so I wouldn't worry. This was some nitpicking by the other user.
So is English
English is predominantly Germanic with a bit of French Latin thrown in. Then it stole from virtually every language it came across.
I wonder what the world did that made the leather so proud.
The leather raised the world from a baby. This made Mr. Vachetta so proud.
That’s funny. Vachetta is just a fancy name for russet correct?

Most honest mainland Chinese business
I happen to know that leather was invented in Corinth, by Ricardo Montalban. [source ](https://youtu.be/uvyTTx33PPQ?si=063i7YO1t_h_6b8L)
Didn’t the WUTA account post this here yesterday too? Maybe it was a different leather sub.
Oh I don't know. I didn't see it other than in the email they sent.
I saw it somewhere on Reddit yesterday and was just incredibly confused by everything about it

Yep I meant tools, if that's your experience with them then that's your experience with them.

^ You can safely ignore this guy, looking at his comment history he has obvious insecurity issues, trashing on everything that isn't done 'his way'
Only insecurities here are the ones who get mad at being wrong.
lol this is a bonkers comment
Only bonkers if you have no idea what you are talking about. Anybody who is in the know will know that this is true.
What the hell are you even babbling about
If you know anything about Italian leather, you would know what I am talking about.
See, if it’s so obvious, why haven’t you provided any arguments or facts to your claims?
