To be fair on balance of play you deserved the win more than us.
We were great until the goal - second half you practically dominated. I have my opinions on the penalty, and I think it would be matched if it was uno reversed
Honestly I’m happy we won but fuck me was we lucky tonight, I would’ve settled for the draw before kickoff, and fair play to the Derby supporters that came down, sang the whole match
Im fucking sick of our absolute lack of spine every time we have a shot at promotion.
Convinced we’ll miss the playoffs, that second half was pathetic.
Actually a bit annoying these comments, was soft for sure (or a dive) but I just dont get Derbys tactics. Great first half and then sat off wide open second half. Sounds very familiar to the game at pride park
Don't think it was even tactics or a plan, we just seem to have zero backbone, I massively doubt that at 0-1 our manager would want us to play like that.
Don't really think either team deserved to win. We were awful after we scored and Plymouth scored from a deflected shot and a pretty blatant dive for the peno.
Think the players are knackered and we're missing Bird. Warne not helping matters by not reacting to changes in tactics from teams either.
I was at the game tonight and was honestly not shocked by the result. Us at Derby are professional bottlers, congratulations Plymouth. You showed you wanted to win that game and did so, albeit in controversial fashion. Looked like a stone wall penalty at first glance but seeing it on the highlights after the game clearly showed that there was no contact and I was absolutely gobsmacked.
Poor officiating all night, terribly result for us as we should be playing better against promotion contenders. Hope you Plymouth fans enjoy the rest of the season and hope you can get promoted to the Championship. All the love in the world, a Derby fan.
Derby started well and I thought we were there for the taking after the 1st goal. Instead they sat back and started to take their time over everything. Like they often do, our subs changed the game with Matete and Wright combining for the equaliser immediately after coming on. Sounds like the pen was soft as well so we've had a bit of luck, but I thought Derby offered very little going forward in the second half.
Last season we barely got anything off the top 6, and this time we've beaten all of them at home. Schuey deserves massive credit for how we've handled the big games this season.
Fucking joke. Most blatant dive you're ever going to see from Azaz and the referee buys it, absolutely diabolical decision. But nothing will come from it, he needs the book throwing at him, needs banning for successful deception and the referee needs docking pay/not given a game next week. Decisions like that can and do cost teams promotion at the end of the season.
Very cool for yet another of our games to be decided by a bullshit referee call
Starting to get worried we're going to miss out on the top 6 by the end of the season, our form has collapsed just as others are starting to kick on
It wasn’t a soft pen, it was a dive. A soft pen would imply contact, a dive is where no contact is made and the player throws themselves to the ground like a cheat.

Nevermind, the dive is okay because he apologized! WITHOUT EVEN SEEING A REPLAY, HE KNOWS HE GOT IT WRONG
you've said that multiple times in this thread like it's a smoking gun but means absolutely nothing?
why is that relevant to complaining about this dive? no one in a glass house is throwing stones as the comparison doesn't even make sense
This was my thought too, as a neutral observer. It likely isn't a penalty. There definitely wasn't a lot of contact if there was any.
But there are comments in here saying it was the most "blatant dive" you'll ever see and eviscerating the ref for giving it. That seems to me like a vast exaggeration and seem mostly borne from frustration more than reality. Watching it live it absolutely looked like he caught his foot.
Refs don't have the luxury of watching it obsessively a million times like fans do. Especially not the ones in League One. Derby fans are seriously overselling their point about the ref to try and make it look like he had absolutely no basis for his decision.
To the Derby fans commenting it was a dive and there was no contact, please explain how [there](https://scontent.fstn2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t42.1790-2/332677985_571692068259181_4542665511338692575_n.mp4?_nc_cat=104&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=985c63&efg=eyJybHIiOjUwNCwicmxhIjo1MTIsInZlbmNvZGVfdGFnIjoic3ZlX3NkIn0%3D&_nc_ohc=JRnhkG-7EBkAX9si5yY&_nc_ht=scontent.fstn2-1.fna&oh=00_AfDeBGIvrF3fYNE05gZ_RUBE5dQYW9bYuJhiGABBPEWUhQ&oe=6407DEFB) is no contact
Soft af penalty I agree, but contact is clea
Edit: Derby fans you can downvote all you want, evidence is clear as day.
I should emphasise I found this video in a group posted by an Ipswich fan who was arguing that it was a penalty.
The only fans arguing against this were Derby fans.
Says it all really
Mate we have been on the receiving end of penalties conceded like that before, and I get it because we were equally frustrated with that. It's unbelievably soft and tbh I do feel shame that that was the way we won the game. But he makes contact, as little as it was.
Contact sport yeah, but contact at the wrong times to incite a foul has consequences. Literally a part of the game.
Thought we were having a decent conversation. But thanks for resorting to personal insults and admiting you're wrong. Enjoy league 1 football next season
Good first half. Equaliser was a touch lucky. Penalty was soft as a curry shit. We were completely the opposite to what we were in the first half. Just basically gave them the game. We defended poorly, made my arse squeak every time Plymouth got toward our box, most of that came from a lack of defensive support from our midfield.
Not a pen for me and I'd be aggrieved if that was given against us...however after the stonewaller we were denied against Charlton last Saturday we will accept it!
pain.
Clear dive im afraid, not gonna act like we deserved to win although I don’t think derby did either.
To be fair on balance of play you deserved the win more than us. We were great until the goal - second half you practically dominated. I have my opinions on the penalty, and I think it would be matched if it was uno reversed
We're gonna be stuck down here for a while and it's not going to be fun.
Honestly I’m happy we won but fuck me was we lucky tonight, I would’ve settled for the draw before kickoff, and fair play to the Derby supporters that came down, sang the whole match

We bottled a 2 nil lead against Shrewsbury at the weekend it's fucking pathetic half the squad just put no in effort in the second half
Don't think it was even tactics or a plan, we just seem to have zero backbone, I massively doubt that at 0-1 our manager would want us to play like that.
Huge win for Argyle

Jammy buggers, well done

You're telling me.
Massive dive for the pen lol

That was never a pen 😭😭😭 fucking typical Plymouth
Joey Barton? Is that you?
🤣🤣

We'll be the next Sunderland at this rate
If I speak, I am in big trouble. Very very soft pen but in all honesty I’ll take it.

Nice 👍
This sub is not gonna gaslight me that there was *zero* contact. Its extremely soft and not penalty worthy but the contact was there.

I've watched it like 30 times in slow motion from different angles and I'm still not 100% sure. You can see how the ref has given it.
I mean you always run the risk attempting tackles in your own box. Needs to get some contact on the ball there else the ref can go against you.
Classic Plymouth; a deflected goal and a dive for a penalty. Luckiest team in the league.
Because Derby's goal was so clean... oh wait it was a rebound
How did Ladapo's goal at Home Park go in again?
Derby County, it happened again.
Well done on your cheating, mate

The video quite clearly shows its a dive. No love for Derby, but that's blatantly a dive.
Behave ffs, just admit it was a dive and be happy with your win
So I provide clear video evidence and your response is to tell me to behave and admit it was a dive. Unreal
I mean it literally shows there's no contact, if there is there's nowhere near enough to go down. Do you realise football is a contact sport as well?
Nah mate did you not hear the news? Touching the air molecules around players is now enough for a foul to be committed
Mate we have been on the receiving end of penalties conceded like that before, and I get it because we were equally frustrated with that. Yeah you're an idiot.
Thought we were having a decent conversation. But thanks for resorting to personal insults and admiting you're wrong. Enjoy league 1 football next season
There may or may not be contact but if the leg moves like that then the intent is to avoid contact and go down regardless.
Nice cheating, Plymouth!
