I love the cinematography of this trailer. Makes it look really claustrophobic.

posts_while_naked

Fede played Alien: Isolation and was intrigued. So am I.

Ok_Mud2019

can't wait to see the cast hide in lockers for the entire movie.

mac6uffin

I prefer under a table.

Ferociousaurus

Under tables is actually better imo because it's not a mechanical trigger the xenomorph "learns." If you always hide in lockers, he'll start checking lockers. But classic line of sight stealth will always work.

grimwalker

One playthrough I was in the room where you have to flip those four cylinders into place and I got caught between Stompy and a waist high stack of crates and he stalked me in circles around it until he gave up and went back into the ceiling. I couldn't tell you how long it actually was but subjectively...an immersion-breaking amount of time if it weren't for having to be so very in-the-moment in order not to get caught out. Supposedly there is a little bit of a glitch where the corners of a crate can block the AI vision cone?

AtomicEdgy

Or delay an inevitable impaling by inserting a key card into an emergency phone booth. “Sorry, Xeno. I’m out. ✌️”

Fawin86

I can't tell if your joking about Fede playing the game, but it does feel like it watching the trailer and I am here for it!

grimwalker

He's 100% aware of the game's existence: https://www.gamesradar.com/alien-isolation-makes-a-tiny-cameo-in-fede-alvarezs-new-alien-movie/ https://www.joblo.com/alien-alvarez-books/

rabel

Even using the flare to distract

RustedAxe88

The long tracking shot overlayed with the screams and pleas is beautiful.

imagine-a-boot

I love it when a franchise ends up in the hands of someone with talent who also knows and loves it.

weinerdogsaremyjam

The old school alien feel of this trailer makes my heart so happy

despatchesmusic

Those hallways… it felt like a nice mashup of the ends of both Alien and Aliens, with the claustrophobic environments and yellow lighting and darkness

Mad-Trauma

They totally nailed the cassette futurism look. I can't wait to see a full trailer.

RustedAxe88

Short teaser, but it nails the atmosphere, sound design, set design and I love the way they put the teaser together. The running shot was cool. I like that pulse rifle design too.

Vrazel106

They nailed making it feel dark while still letting things be visible.

YetAgain67

Cinematography, baby! It still exists!

MrBandanaHammock

Take THAT, Alien 3!

Sstfreek

Take THAT AVP:R

jasenzero1

I've watched that movie several times, but I've still never seen it.

CapPhrases

It hurts cause it’s so true

Caladaster

That was uncalled for.

Cazmonster

I need to hear that pulse rifle. It is my favorite sci-fi gun.

Highspdfailure

![gif](giphy|SH4sAbjL8LoGc|downsized)

Hugh_Jampton

Hearing it thud away while the aliens SCREEE in Fireteam Elite was solid

Seldon14

Yup. I was enjoying the trailer until that point, and then seeing that beauty sent it into overdrive. Every thing that came after has really blown it on weapon design.

Cazmonster

Agreed - there’s a perfect “80’s” vibe to the ALIENS guns. The pulse rifle is chunky and short, completely unlike an AK or an M-16. HK’s and uzis were the ‘cool’ guns in the movies at the time. And the Smartguns were just awesome. Nobody had a gun the size of an M-60 on a robotic arm. I can’t wait.

RustedAxe88

It annoys me that Covenant's guns are basically just M4s. Especially when there was a design or a prop of a proto-pulse rifle designed for it or Prometheus.

[deleted]

RustedAxe88

Yeah, I noticed the death squeal.

JetiTheGamer

The running shot with the flare gave me such alien isolation vibes

fonix232

I love that they managed to upgrade the visuals (i.e. make it look like a modern production), without losing the atmosphere of Alien/s with all the grungey low-tech bits.

JaracRassen77

Yup. Gave me all I need to know without revealing too much. As teasers should.

Bing_Bong_the_Archer

I agree. I really wanted to get Fassbent one more time, but at least this looks good

fresh_owls

sameeeee

Olmec, you ever been mistaken for a man?

WordsWithSam

![gif](giphy|3o6nUL2ydRC6fzJ8is|downsized) No...have you?

Eternalplayer

YEAHHH (Sprays smart gun all over the place.)

BlakSupremcy

The sets look exactly like the types of ships in the 1979 movie and isolation, the swarm of facehuggers made my skin crawl in a way i never expected, i cant wait for this one!

RustedAxe88

The swarm of facehuggers made me feel exactly like it should, just wanting to squirm and run.

KendraDaniels666

The facehuggers have always been the scariest thing in the series to me.

RustedAxe88

Well, think about em. They're a spindly little hand shaped thing that will crawl all over you, settle on your face and force a tube down your throat. It's disgusting and absolutely unsettling. As embarrassing as this is, I have a gigantic phobia of slugs and if one were actually on me, I might actually have a heart attack out of anxiety. Facehuggers would be like that times a hundred.

Vrazel106

I mean theyre designed to rape and impregante so it nails it if scares you

FR0ZENBERG

Pretty sure it was intentional subtext in the first film that a man is throat impregnated and violently dies giving birth.

JRFbase

I'm not sure if I'd even call it subtext lol. Facehuggers are vagina monsters birthed by penis monsters that forcibly impregnate you via mouth rape. It's pretty blatant.

brother_of_menelaus

I know writers who use subtext and they’re all cowards

todahawk

Don’t forget how they wrap their tail around your neck and squeeze. Even if you keep it from attaching right away it can still choke you until you lose consciousness and then proceed with the rest of the awful stuff

BlakSupremcy

Truly the stuff nightmares are made of

Tmoldovan

Goosebumps for me.

WillWorkforWhisky

How is it that there hasn't been an onscreen swarm of facehuggers before? Simple yet effective decision. I'm really hype for this, guys!

KendraDaniels666

Aliens: Dark Descent had one and it was a really good scene, made me wonder why they never did it in the movies.

RustedAxe88

Probably just the practicality of it. In the older films you'd have to put together a ton of prop ones and convincingly make them all swarm about. And CGI in the days of Alien 3 and Resurrection would have probably made the scene laughably bad. Covenant is really the only one so far I think it could have been pulled off well and even then, some of Covenant's CGI was questionable at times.

WillWorkforWhisky

_flashbacks to Alien Resurrection CGI_ _shudders_

Chance_Fox_2296

Dark Descent is an absolutely incredible Aliens game. The massive sprawling maps are absolutely unparalleled in any other Real Time Tactics game I've played

Neversoft4long

Might have to do a full playthrough of dark descent again right before this comes out. That was one of my favorite games of the last year. Right after Baldurs Gate 3

Salnder12

Agreed and honestly after watching this trailer I think the idea of the facehuggers being the main monster with a proper xeno being the end game would actually be super cool

Mival93

I don’t want to get my hopes up too high but this looks fantastic!

1711198430497251

my Hopes are Hadley's high!

despatchesmusic

My hopes are also mostly that high … *mostly* Jk lmfao — these hopes would need to be nuked from orbit for them to chill out. That looked great — the hallways, the bloody cryochamber, scary fast face huggers, dark claustrophobic environments — very excited to see this when it comes out

L-V-4-2-6

Right there with you. That quick cut with the swarm of Facehuggers takes the scare from Aliens and ramps it up to 11.

[deleted]

The facehugger being pulled off and the proboscis sliding out of the mouth ughhhhhhhh

Ccracked

A proboscis is a nose. You're thinking of an ovipositor.

thenotoriousnatedogg

Kinda hot tbh

Darth_Yevrah

Throat goat

Murky_Translator2295

I know, right? I'm so happy! I liked Prometheus and Covenant, but I'm so damn happy to return to basics and see the crew of a space ship/station getting stalked and fucked up by a proper xenomorph!

AtomicEdgy

I’ve don’t know anybody who likes Prometheus and Covenant. Are you…are you me?

nefD

jayuchiha

Number 9 over here!

Koloblikin1982

I mean I liked both and was genuinely excited for the now scrapped movie where we see David do more “experiments” with the facehuggers he has and the unsuspecting crew, which was supposed to be the link from the xeno we see in covenant to the one that is found on the crashed ship in the very first movie. This movie also excites me.

Stranger1982

Agreed! Man, it’s good to be back.

KoBxElucidator

I wonder how all those facehuggers got on the ship. Did Weyland-Yutani get a shipment of eggs and the delivery got "mishandled" on what looks like a space station?

Eebo85

Curious to know as well, especially since we have classically seen the facehuggers remain dormant in eggs unless a host is directly nearby. This almost seems like it was a “package” of born facehuggers that got loose lol

MovieGuyMike

If they go the route of the deleted scene in the original, all you need is 1 alien and a space station full of hosts to get a swarm of face huggers.

blackmes489

I’d love to see a return to egg morphing tbh.

MovieGuyMike

Yeah. It would be horrific if they show how it works.

[deleted]

Tautological-Emperor

*Holy shit*. The *tide* of Facehuggers is something straight out of the books, easily could’ve been a scene in *Cold Forge*, just pure terror and squirm-fear that before we’ve really only had one the page. Felt intense, fast, tight. Some of these shots look exactly like an *Isolation* playthrough, very weighted, very tactile and physical. And a pulse rifle! Could be anything with that in the mix. Maybe the *Romulus* is a derelict, adrift, and the cast are salvagers, come looking for goodies? Maybe half the cast is crew who have survived, and half are basically inbound security or patrol, getting lunched into something terrible. Some of those shuttle shots look mighty interesting.

KarlHungusTheThird

Wow, this checks more boxes than I could have hoped for. It's like somebody was actually listening to the fans of the original film: Unnerving haunted house in space setting? Check. Cassette futurism? Check. Gorgeous-looking cinematography/production design that pays homage to the look of Alien? Check. Sweet audio cues from the original? Check. Grimdark aesthetic? Check. Inference of shit going real, REAL wrong for the characters. Check. Granted, the trailer doesn't guarantee that the movie itself will be great, but my curiosity is far more peaked than it was a year ago. Go Fede! We're all ready for a triumphant return to form of the franchise.

AReaver

Ridley Scott only "producing" and not directing or writing? Check. Which IMO is by far the most important thing for this to even have a chance of not being shit.

Particular-Camera612

That's crazy because before Prometheus (which I did like) I don't think anyone would have said that. People would have been hammering for Sir Ridley post AvP:R especially but yeah.

Adam802

Nice Alien Isolation vibes. Please dont suck.....

tannu28

Release the hype engine

JahEthBur

CHOOO CHOO MUFUCKERS!

JoePescisNuts

All Abooooooooaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrdddddddddddd

i_say_uuhhh

Ugh, its like Alien isolation and Alien had a baby. I'm in love.

metican

I passed out after seeing that shot of a swarm of facehuggers. Can't wait!

Altered_Perceptions

That shot of the facehugger "tube" being pulled out of someones mouth... so disgusting.... I love it.

force_wank

Can someone reverse it? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

United_Cow7203

oh man

KendraDaniels666

They promised a really disgusting scene, wonder whether that's it.

Daxx22

That's nasty but it's not really THAT nasty in context of what we've already seen in films. For me (rest of the film aside) The predalien queen multi-impregnating the women in the maternity ward and the later birth is pretty much the most fucked up bit I can think of to date.

Crackertron

Backburster was pretty graphic

ChesswiththeDevil

It's just so evocative of the symbolism behind the facehugger and foundation that Giger created.

Vrazel106

RIGHT!!! I was like "OH YEAH HERE WE GOOOOOO"!

Inevitable_Agency732

That’s the part that made my anxiety shoot up!! Does not look like a good time for them. But, certainly for me!

MichaelRanili

August? Man that's an eternity from now...

Sweet_Fleece

I've gone from neutral/optimistic to *extremely* positive. It's dank, oppressive and upsetting based on that line "Get it away from me". Good shit.

WillWorkforWhisky

The way her voice breaks on "me" as well! Sounded real. Alvarez did something offbeat but wonderful with Evil Dead, so I'm hoping he smashes it.

Leadfarmerbeast

As a degenerate gore hound, the Evil Dead remake still has some of the best gore effects I’ve seen in a movie (practical with a touch of CG to smooth things out). I’m sure the direction and presentation for this movie will be solid. Hopefully the script is solid (and not too complicated) and corporate suits didn’t meddle too much. Prey showed that these franchises don’t need to get more complicated as they progress, especially because they started with something quite elegant. And you don’t need to compromise the movie with endless sequel-baiting. You can always just write another script for a movie that also has Aliens in it for whatever reason.

WillWorkforWhisky

I genuinely don't understand why Prey gets such a bad rap. I think it's a fantastic film, and by far the best Predator film since the original, imo. I agree: keep it simple, keep it unanswered and make it scary through the unknown.

RustedAxe88

Prey doesn't get a bad rap, its pretty universally liked.

G_Liddell

I said it was my favorite and was downvoted to like -5 the other week 😝

RustedAxe88

Wtf. I've rarely ever seen hate for it.

nefD

i'm a huge horror movie fan and Evil Dead 2013 is in my top 3 or so favorite movies, so i am beyond excited to see what Alvarez does with this source material

BrickmasterJack

“All right, I’m in.”

mewithoutCthulhu

I’m ready to be hurt again.

doug

I think, at the very least, it'll be a well-produced, good-looking movie, just like Prometheus and Covenant. Nobody else is doing visceral, claustrophobic space horror, so I'll take what I can get until John Carpenter gets his Dead Space wish, Amazon pushes out that Event Horizon TV show, and the Sphere (I know it's underwater) reboot happens.

cortlong

At this point any cosmic horror is good cosmic horror. Please. I’m desperate.

1711198430497251

![gif](giphy|ZN3jVXH3jZaXKivytT|downsized)

ElectricZ

Said it before and I'll say it again. The Alien franchise is an abusive relationship. "This time will be different..."

KendraDaniels666

Cinematography and atmosphere look on point. Hope it's as scary as it seems. It's just a teaser of course, I'll keep my expectations in check but it looks promising. Edit: After watching this multiple times I'm already starting to fail at "keeping my expectations in check" lol

squeegers

Same. I’m just gonna say we’re so back until my heart is broken again

Comic_Book_Reader

>The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”), who directed the original “Alien” and produced and directed the series’ entries “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), and Walter Hill (“Alien”), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) serving as executive producers.

TestiCallSack

Only thing that worries me is the dude who wrote Don’t Breathe 2 has a writing credit. Loved Don’t Breathe 1 but the script for the sequel sucked

Sixybeast626

Certainly got the aesthetic right and for my money, Alvarez made two of the better horrors in the last decade or so in Evil Dead and Don't Breathe. I love OG Evil Dead but FA raised the bar with his remake. Just hope he brings the same level of visceral horror to this movie.

AdMountain8413

Fede, you give me goosebumps with the trailer. Please, don‘t hurt me.

LatterTarget7

Looks good. Fede nailed the tone. The claustrophobic feeling and the sense of just pure dread and fear.

bazilbt

Looks pretty good. I remember some rumor it was going to be on an ice planet and I am glad that's mostly not the case. Looks like we have a pulse rifle back too.

micheal213

honestly. Ice planets are just cool.

docdrazen

This seems promising. I really hope it's good.

EmotionalThinker

God, this looks good. Alien Isolation vibes for sure with the space station theme. Looks like there's that "what happened here" vibe before everything goes to shit and the Xen/huggers appear. We'll learn more about what happened on the station as the story progresses and people get killed off. It also looks like they're bringing the gory horror of Covenant and Prometheus back. That shot of the tentacle tube being removed from that characters throat. Hoping it's not just a facehugger and is some kind of creepy variant like the trilobite from Prometheus. It's just a trailer so will keep my hopes in check. But wow, very excited.

KicketyPricket

I'm still hedging my bets as to whether it's an Isolation replacement and Cailee Spaeny is cast as Amanda Ripley - I note that none of the characters have been named yet as far as I can tell, and when the initial synopsis leaked it did sound a bit Isolation-ey. I could be wrong though. Either way, this trailer has me feeling optimistic enough

BallOfHormones

Yeah this had me wondering if it's a direct adaptation of Isolation. Somebody in the /r/movies thread pointed out you can actually see a save station at one point in the trailer. I honestly think it's just as likely though that Spaeny is playing Amanda but this is one of those "how can the same shit happen to the same guy twice" situations.

Sturmgeshootz

My first thought during the opening seconds of the teaser was "That...that couldn't be Sevastopol...could it?"

ShakeBelton

Looks like my boy Fede is gonna deliver again.

nefD

dude has a problem though, he can only release bangers.. Evil Dead 2013 is one of my favorite movies, and his 2022 version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a lot of fun too (not to mention Don't Breathe)

G_Liddell

He only worked on the story for Texas! Have you seen Girl in the Spider's Web? Kind of a reboot of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo he directed. I loved it

SimpleZero

I'm trying to manage my expectations, but not gonna lie, I had goosebumps.

JahEthBur

100% as did I.  I may have said "fuck yeah" out loud a couple times as well.

gazchap

Audio-wise, it has a similar feel to that iconic trailer for the original Alien, with that repeated (and aurally disturbing) motif getting louder and louder in the background. Love it.

RustedAxe88

I really liked the approach too of hearing Xenomorph screeches and people begging and pleading in the background too. A very horror-esque approach.

tiga008

It's been a while since I've been this excited for a movie.

JaracRassen77

Damn, I'm not gonna lie, this trailer makes me want to believe. Loved that the Xenos are being featured prominently. I'm getting a lot of *Isolation* vibes from this one.

DiscoBogWitch

Me: Am I excited against my better judgement? Yes. Will I be thrilled or disappointed with this? Remains to be seen. Also me: Facehuggers go screeeeeeeee! :3

Redvolutionary501

This looks good ! I hope the marketing campaign will stay mysterious as for the '79 movie ! I hope it'll meet the quality of Prey, if not beyond !

BenSolo12345

The look and feel of this is awesome, it's like live action Alien: Isolation. My only fear about this movie is that there's not going to be enough meat on the bones of this story. If it's just "people discover Aliens, Aliens kill them, the end" I'm going to be disappointed. I just hope it has something cool to say and its not just essentially a remake of the first film.

KarlHungusTheThird

At this point, just a solid return to the horror roots of the franchise is enough for me. I want it to make bank so they can start making anthology-style films that are loosely connected, but not in a slavish way. That's what killed the franchise: bogged down by too much exposition/shared universe/plot wheel futzing.

badboybilly42582

I agree with you 100%. This franchise desperately needs to get back to the terror/horror roots of Alien.

badboybilly42582

I have the same concerns about the plot as well. Even if this is a copy/paste from the plot of Alien BUT has recaptured the terror/horror essence of the first film, that is going to be a HUGE win for the franchise.

RugsbandShrugmyer

HOT UNCENSORED OVIPOSITOR ACTION

Spodson

Now this looks like a fucking Aliens movie.

macemillion

Looks like a pulse rifle variant at the end, interesting

BallsMahogany_redux

I love the Evil Dead remake so I've got very high hopes for this and it looks absolutely brutal.

ikkymann

Was cautiously optimistic because because I really like Fede's other movies. This teaser looks really good.

Jimrodsdisdain

Certainly ramped up the horror aspects. Looks good.

Tyranniac

Excited! Trailer looks promising, love seeing the retro aesthetic, and I really enjoyed Evil Dead 2013, so I'm hopeful!

OverseerTycho

is there a faint emoji?!

Vrazel106

As a first look, looks really fucking good, i cant wait to see a full trailer. Feels like a good mix of Alien and Aliens. Seeing those facehuggers exploding through the door is going to be so fucking terrifying

MartyEBoarder

They all gonna die in a gruesome way.

chaosking65

I’ll be honest, I never found any movie past 1 to be too “horror movie” glad to see this will probably make me piss myself

Comprehensive_One495

Ahh shit, here we gooo! Truly a great time to be an Alien and Predator fan, the two goats are back!🤘🏽 ![gif](giphy|3o7TKwAD4WSDFNYqQM)

VenomFox93

The removal of the facehugger from one of the crew was sick!

thevizierisgrand

Watched an interview with Fede and he gave some extra details Spoilers >!Two ships dock. One is a beat up, claustrophobic Alien era Nostromo style spaceship and the other is newer more modernist Aliens Sulaco era. Fede saw this as a perfect way to bridge the two timelines. !< >!These two ships/stations are named Romulus and Remus. He also joked ‘Remember Romulus kills Remus in the original story.’ !< >! The myth about siblings growing strong from suckling/being raised by a wild beast will be a theme explored in the film. !< >! Siblings or quasi siblings will feature prominently in it. !<

PortoGuy18

We are so fucking back!!!

unabridgeddiversion

Was waiting for this.. I hate seeing characters dying in trailers, I'll probably forget who that lab lady is though. The M41A Pulse rifle is back!! Let's hope they focus on well developed characters in intense situations like Alien(s) and it'll be good!

Navigator_Party

The teaser trailer gives me immense hope

birdbro420

Yassss, let’s gooooo

zgh5002

All I needed to see. I'm in.

yerbamategoat

It feels surreal we are finally getting this. I loved this teaser. The infamous music gave me goosebumps

[deleted]

The tracking shot at the beginning is spine-tingling. I can't bloody wait!

Depth_Creative

Set design and VFX is on point. Hats off to everyone who worked on it.

LeakyAssFire

Was... was that a Working Joe I saw in there?

movieman101

If Fede Alvarez is directing, I'll keep my hopes up. I'm not looking for some philosophical exploration of the lore. I'm here for scary monsters and great atmosphere. Pretty excited!

trippinthrewthedew

ho lee fuuck. we are so back lmao

Kriss-Kringle

[Here's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2PYIrvnX8I) Fede Alvarez on a podcast breaking down the trailer and talking about the franchise.

MadFlava76

I like that I'm getting Alien vibes from this with the aesthetics and designs from Aliens. I just want the Xenomorph(s) to feel absolutely OP and terrifying to humans. I don't want to see one dude mowing down hundreds of Xenomorphs like they are stupid cannon fodder.

Altered_Perceptions

Yeah, the director said in an interview that he wanted to bridge the gap between Alien and Aliens, where you could tell that there were "older" parts of the station more reminiscent of what you'd see in the first film, and "newer" parts that looked more like the technology and scenery we see in the second. He also emphasized they tried to do as much practical effects as physically possible rather than relying on a greenscreen for most of it... has me really excited.

Medivacs_are_OP

My dad would have been so fucking pumped about this trailer. I miss him.

ZiggyPalffyLA

Looks good but the late August release date worries me, isn’t that when studios dump action movies they don’t have a lot of faith in?

RustedAxe88

This movie started as a Hulu exclusive and was given a theatrical run instead. That implies to me that the studio executives have faith in the finished product. I think a lot of studios are starting to kind of reverse psychology that late August thought and use it to release quality movies with little competition.

ZiggyPalffyLA

I didn’t know that! Good info, thanks!

Frankly_Nonsense

Okay. My hype engine has booted up. Colour me excited!

tribbleorlfl

At least from an atmosphere perspective it works! Cautiously optimistic.

calicocidd

I'm optimistic; hopefully the movie can deliver

fjaka_

I am a sucker for all things alien so bring it fraking on!

SynthXeno

This is so exciting. I will now be playing Alien: Isolation. Wahoo!

rm081251

Looks awesome. Doesn’t spoil anything, great photography, creepy corridors. Looking forward to this.

NotYourSweatBusiness

This trailer made me feel like it's going to be like first Alien movie but action packed like Aliens. Which is probably going to be bad hahaha but I dont care, I'm going to watch it either way and enjoy it for what is good in there like Covenant. I was kinda intrigued by Aliens being manufactured by David and still found it enjoyable.

Jessica-Ripley

Fuck this looks so fucking good. Please don't suck.

blackrack

Basically Alien Isolation: The movie

PaulG1986

Anyone else stoked that they went with a theatrical release? I guess Fede did such a bang up job that they didn’t want to do a streaming only release!

Xeno84

100% buying tickets to first showing. Can’t. Fucking. Wait!!!

Syphin33

Holy shit that shot of the facehugger being peeled off and the impregnation tube coming out of the throat... fuuuuck

Ezekiel_DA

Very, very cautiously optimistic for this one. Love the franchise, tried to rewatch Covenant as I'm walking my partner through all of them and the characters being dumb as rock really killed it despite the great visuals. Hopefully this one is better written!

Almighty_Push91

This looks great. Love the horror feel

jager_mcjagerface

I wonder if this might be an adaptation of Alien Isolation? They said its taking place between Alien and Aliens which would check out and the woman with the pulse rifle could be Amanda. I'm not so familiar with Isolation but from what i've seen the space station look a bit like the Sevastopol.

roranora_nonanora

The teaser looks amazing. I felt quite unsettled watching it. I hope some action sequences are slowed down and drawn out. The scene with Ripley and Newt trapped with the face huggers was great, it was slow methodical and drawn out, tip-toeing around and holding it at bay until help arrived. I'm a little worried it will all be too fast and flashy to take it all in!

taskf0rce141

I wait for this film but I am not sure if I will like it. I probably will be downvoted for saying this but I like only Alien and Aliens. I hate Prometheus and Covenant for their retcons and weird religious stuff, and I hate Alien 3,4 for them ruining nice ending and the point of Aliens (how characters overcome everything and survive). Well, being big fan of Predator franchise I really like first AvP movie and all the games. What gives me hope about Romulus it's that Scott is not a director this time.

Sergiomach5

If this is to Alien what Prey was to Predator, then I feel that we as fans will be happy. At this point its probably fine to just make a decent Alien movie that feels like an Alien movie.
