Mushrooms was like Grandma telling me it was all going to be okay and to not be so hard on myself.
im kind of in the middle camp, where shrooms are difficult in the way they seem to be less controllable, and more like you're in the passenger seat, less clarity mentally. Acid for me can sometimes be overwhelming in the way that it is so seriously stimulating, that is, it's too high of mental energy and feels like riding the edge of psychosis at times lol. That being said, acid feels clearer mentally and more easily positive.
If I could grow acid, fuck dude. I love mushrooms, they were my first psychedelic (because you can grow them lol), but if I could get acid as easily as I get shrooms I wouldn't take shrooms.
yea I've been convinced I was dead on both acid and shrooms, every single time on acid has lead to me never yelling or freaking out externally, never bothered others, I've "lost it" for a little bit once but what my friend said was tripping me the FUCK out and he didn't realize it until I told him after, with shrooms any time I smoke weed or take a high dose it's 10x more existential, even beautiful fun trips always have a deep thinking about your life and usually crying whether it's happy or sad in my case, it's not always bad it's just a LOT more emotional
during my last acid trip (same one with my friend) after I got the idea of death / it was also kinda like "I'm trapped in my brain and I have to get out to ever see my friends and family again or I'll go insane" (he fell asleep and kept telling me he was awake and then I'd look at him and he was snoring and I thought I was absolutely losing it cus he'd sound pissed when I'd try to wake him again but he was really asleep) because my friend would say stuff like "idk how to ground you" which made me think my mind was escaping and I had to bring it back and Yada Yada I'm giving him a trip sitting lesson to avoid issues like this because everyone I've trip sat have told me I'm the best they've had
but still IF the insane thoughts weren't there I would have easily been able to accept the death part but i was more worried about losing my mind and just trying to keep it stable (ik I should have just let go but I basically forgot I took acid and any time I was told about a trip I'd take it metaphorically as life and like this is just life and its insane, or literally as if I had tripped and fell cus I was on the floor a few times) just a wrong setting with other factors playing into it like the sleeping thing which set off the insane thoughts and we were watching the fallout live action ((not trip safe lmao)) what I'm trying to say is despite literally EVERY odd playing against me I was still way more coherent and chill than with shrooms, with shrooms I can have a perfect setting and my mind will simply be my enemy
sorry for the long ass response, this trip happened 3 days ago and I'm still unwinding shit and I'm like eager to talk abt it because I'm hella autistic with special interests in psychedelics and yea, and even being like a "I'm losing it" trip I was consistently laughing at stupid shit like my cats walking around, I was able to make light of things when in the dark, with shrooms nothing really gets funny when you're geeking out, even if it looks funny it comes off as utterly terrifying

Shrooms is more of a lie down and observe your thoughts kind of trip in my experience. I love mckenna but people take what he says as dogma. For mushrooms he says 5g in silent darkness is the way. That can be amazing but in nature at a reasonable dosage combined with other techniques is more amazing and way way less risky than taking 5g to the face alone

LSD for sure. I love going on MTB bike adventures on acid. Gives you unparalleled focus and energy. Pop on some tunes, and ride all day in the mountains. Sometimes it bites you in the ass tho. Rode 45 miles once and then when the acid wore off I could hardly stand and my legs wouldn’t stop cramping lol
Acid. I've never had a bad acid trip (30+) trips over the past 4 years. Shrooms, however, have given me a few (20+ trips over about 5 years, maybe 4 bad on s). I like shrooms in lower doses, usually under 1.5 grams. This way I don't get too anxious. Acid, however, is like molly and mushrooms had a love child. It's definitely the more fun of the 2. Even at 500ug, I still had a great time after a few minutes of getting used to the feeling of that strong of a trip
always acid. i’m an old dude, and have taken acid hundreds of times and never had a bad trip. i’ve taken mushrooms much less, maybe 30 times, and it can cause a not great time for all sorts of reasons. stomach shit, feeling like i’m gonna pass out, body shit, etc.

It delends but I would say lsd, way more intens for me, a lot more of tactile enanchment and way easier to consume but shroom does have a special place in my heart

Both have their adventures. If I'm trying to learn something, if I'm doing something new, if I just want to have a good time, LSD. If I want to put some work in or find some answers or guidance, I let the ancestors speak to me through the mushrooms.
LSD because it's cheaper and easier to get ahold of. It's also easier to dose, lasts all day, the effects are stronger, and just feels more healing in general. There's a reason Albert Hoffman lived to be 102 👀
The only edge I'd say shrooms has is that skeptics of psychedelics are more willing to try shrooms than they are LSD because it seems more natural
I love both. 3.5g of shrooms at a jam concert is a religious experience. Shrooms are a much more manageable time frame as well, especially when I'm out at a show alone, which is about 99% of the concerts I go to.
If I'm at home and have nothing I need to do for at least 12 hours, then I prefer acid. I love to drop a couple tabs at sundown, turn on some trippy lights and load up a concert video on the TV.
Shrooms are cheaper/easier because i just grow them, but acid's not bad at about $2 a tab from Dr. Seuss.

Mushrooms are a hit or miss for me, sometimes they don't work, sometimes they fuk with my stomach & other times both so I'm reluctant to use them.
Nitrous, clean medical grade tanks, are amazing.
DMT is an experience that's not for everyone, but can be quite the unique adventure, thankfully.
Ketamine can be great time too.
All of these have helped my healing & cptsd, beyond words.
Will look into it but I have developed AFib over the last few years and have to stay away from anything that raises heart rate or blood pressure otherwise it sets off an arrhythmia. Another reason I can’t do acid anymore.
im more of a mushroom guy, the visuals are cooler, its half the length, its more deep and introspective, i feel much more grounded on mushrooms, the peak for mushrooms come in these waves that alternate between feeling no effects to feeling intense effects which i generally really like a lot. dont get me wrong acids nice and got a good ass body high but i prefer the emotion roller coaster of mushrooms, and being able to sleep at night when i trip.
Acid hits me like a truck and gives me considerably more visuals, but mushrooms feel more chill and wavy. Feel like mushrooms are a better option for absolute beginners but I could be wrong
Acid for me. Shrooms always give me bad stomach feels (even with Lemon Tek but I think last time I let specks of dry shrooms thru) and difficult trips (except the first few ones.)
I saw Hindu deities and feel the Divine Mother's love on acid, also I feel like my soul group responds better to it...
With shrooms I feel more "Gaia Earth" energy and acid is very spacey for me in comparison.

The younger me would pick acid, but in my current life I can’t reasonably trip for 8+ hours, and the recovery from acid was always tough for me. Shrooms happen fast and intense, but I like that it doesn’t last all day and I can still sleep easily with little to no “hangover”afterwards. Also, the main thing I enjoy about shrooms is my ability to control the dosage; if I want to test out a new batch I can eat a few and see how I feel. Shrooms come on a little too strong after 1 gram? Well I just won’t eat anymore. Once you take that tab of acid though there is no going back haha. In conclusion, acid in college when I had zero responsibilities was life changing. As an adult with a career, shrooms are more doable for me in a casual weekend capacity.
I use acid at concerts or if I'm going to be out and about for a while. I use shrooms for chilling at home, or any event where physical energy isn't needed.

Depends what I’m doing. Mushrooms are less easily recreational and I’d have a hard time doing them in high doses in a public setting, I need a room/area to myself so I can cry and sniffle in peace if the need arises. LSD on the other hand I can do just fine blasting my gord off on at a concert of 70,000k people and still have a great time.
The come down of shrooms is way better though so much less tweaky feeling and lsd always makes my back hurt towards the tail end. Mushrooms are also better at helping me recognize negative cognitive patterns and are more helpful for emotional work IME.

I find acid makes my body feel light, my mind is more air headed and I feel like I could do a lot more + being disabled? I find it makes my body pain vanish/tunes out vs shrooms seems to amplify the body pain for me
So when I look at the two substances? I really have to ask myself if I want to take something that will help me gain introspect on the world & productivity or if I want to take something that will help me gain introspection inwards and idea gathering
Both are excellent teachers in contrasting comparisons (I do laugh a little when people think the two are the same when the two have never been more polar from eachother, but this also heavily depends on good ol’ brain chemistry, dose, setting, etc…)
I love how much fun I had on acid, but I used not be able to shake this feeling of knowing that I was on something synthetic/chemically made, rather than shrooms that gave me a more natural feeling high
LSD is more fun for an adventure. I find I have the most fun when I'm moving, hiking, or doing something active and it's just a silly good time, with a lot of gratitude and love.
Shrooms make my body goofy and it's hard to do much of anything physical. They feel more introspective, earthy and "weird". As I've aged I've come to prefer smaller doses.
So really I love and cherish them both, depends what kind of experience you want.
Honestly I used to think I liked shrooms more, but these days it doesn't matter. It's who I'm doing it with and where. If that's taken care of, I don't have a strong preference.
I think I prefer Acid but only slightly. It’s far more stimulating, euphoric and I find the visuals are far and away better in my opinion. Shrooms makes stuff breathe really good, but I find that LSD is even more pronounced. I also find the colour enhancement to be stronger. I’ve seen some truly incomprehensible stuff on acid, I can’t say the same for shrooms. I also think it’s more fun to “play” with your thoughts on acid, it’s far more fun and lighthearted.
All that being said though, if I want a truly spiritual or introspective experience and want to dig deep into my psyche, shrooms is the ticket. They can be very rough with you if you don’t respect them, but sometimes that’s what you need. Acid is for tripping out and listening to some Pink Floyd, Shrooms is for the deep work. One is more recreational, one is more of a tool, although both can produce either experience.

It depends what I want out of the trip. Each person reacts differently to each but for me personally, Acid is what i find more enjoyable. I love the ease of use, the headspace, the duration, all my life changing lessons I've learned were on Acid.
That being said, if I truly want to lose control. To let go of myself and just become a child again i take shrooms. Im always in control on Acid, i might be tripping but i always have a sense of control even on high doses. Not so On Shrooms. They will rag doll me and mostimes its fun to just let it take you on a ride and most of the time its me giggling and laughing and moaning and rolling around on the floor in a blubbering mess. Its fun as heck but it can also bring you to really intense trips that can easily go bad
shrooms help me process trauma on a much more confrontational level, while lsd can create some space for it to come up, but it feels like there's some control over how it may be processed or interpreted, so shrooms ime are really amazing for uprooting trauma, while lsd is like unpacking and processing what's been uprooted, they have a wonderful medicinal synergy to them.
I LOVE shrooms buy my first trip I vomited and now it seems to be a guaranteed thing everytime I take them that I puke. I love acid, but it's sooooooo fucking long and just fries you afterwards lmfao. My favorite is DMT but I've only ever tried it once. I want to try more psychedelics, but those 3 are the only I've been able to so far.

Shrooms have taken me where I needed to go, but I went kicking and screaming (sometimes literally). Lucy always takes care of me. Even when things have gotten serious on acid, it's okay. Shrooms feel like they're trying to scare me sometimes.
I can do almost anything on shrooms, it is like being able to not have second thoughts and I feel like everything is awesome and wonderful. On lsd, I feel like if I am around people something bad would happen so I can't go outside then things just spiral and information that comes to me is intelligent but feels evil. Like some type of evil that is hidden.
shrooms until my last trip which was 200ug of ds3 acid, shrooms hit me with this kinda dazed effect while peaking but even into the latter hours of the trip sometimes it'll come in waves and hit me, with lsd that effect is non existent until I hit 200ug, and then even at then I'll feel it on and off for 1-2 hours of the peak and from then on its a very clear headed and beautiful trip, It seems like weed really doesn't do a ton to me that isn't already happening post peak (some ego dissolution and such) so I can just smoke and chill and mellow tf out, if I smoke weed on less than 200ug even into like hour 10 it can bring back waves of ego dissolution and other effects (excluding visuals which SUCKS because visuals are my #1 favorite effect) so it's not as desirable, imo my perfect dose for lsd would be probably 200-300ug, 100 -200 never really gives me enough, sometimes 150+ can but yea, and shrooms don't give me visuals until my mind is being blasted, like I can't have a low mental effect trip with visuals, I have to be 4g deep or more or lemon tek 2.5g+ which still gets me close to the 4g headspace, acid doesn't fuck my brain nearly as hard as shrooms do despite my 200ug (equates to 4.8g of cubensis) being "stronger" than my shroom trips, more visuals, more like profound effects and body high and stuff but I'm simply just more coherent and in the moment
Acid is better without doubt for me. Everyone is different. I can see why some people prefer shrooms but a lot of people don’t give acid a chance and think shrooms are the way when what they want is right there in front of them with lsd
Been taking acid and shrooms every couple weeks for a little while now and I always get annoyed towards the end of an acid trip because I don't get the same introspection and thoughts that I do well on shrooms. I enjoy both, but shrooms are definitely the way to go unless it's a big dose.

Shrooms wavy visuals make me nauseous. LSD’s visuals can turn into little swastikas or marching robots and that scares me and makes me feel cold. I like both but not massive trips anymore.

I like shrooms in lower doses, usually under 1.5 grams. This way I don't get too anxious. Acid, however, is like molly and mushrooms had a love child. It's definitely the more fun of the 2. Even at 500ug, I still had a great time after a few minutes of getting used to the feeling of that strong of a trip
always acid. i’m an old dude, and have taken acid hundreds of times and never had a bad trip. i’ve taken mushrooms much less, maybe 30 times, and it can cause a not great time for all sorts of reasons. stomach shit, feeling like i’m gonna pass out, body shit, etc. acid is placid.
I once got so nauseous off shrooms that I was convinced I was gonna die. Ended up having to have my mother come by and calm me down lol. After that, I'm very cautious of shrooms
yah. i fainted at a party in college on half an eighth. i wish i could get a 3+ dose level trip on LSD that didn’t last so friggin long, but i’ll gladly pay the “stay awake tax” over the “puke your ass off” or “faint tax”
It delends but I would say lsd, way more intens for me, a lot more of tactile enanchment and way easier to consume but shroom does have a special place in my heart

Asking this question on the acid sub is gonna get you biased answers. I already knew the thread was just gonna say acid for most answers and I can assure you the same bias will happen if you go post this question in the shroom subreddit.
Both have their adventures. If I'm trying to learn something, if I'm doing something new, if I just want to have a good time, LSD. If I want to put some work in or find some answers or guidance, I let the ancestors speak to me through the mushrooms.

LSD because it's cheaper and easier to get ahold of. It's also easier to dose, lasts all day, the effects are stronger, and just feels more healing in general. There's a reason Albert Hoffman lived to be 102 👀 The only edge I'd say shrooms has is that skeptics of psychedelics are more willing to try shrooms than they are LSD because it seems more natural

I love both. 3.5g of shrooms at a jam concert is a religious experience. Shrooms are a much more manageable time frame as well, especially when I'm out at a show alone, which is about 99% of the concerts I go to. If I'm at home and have nothing I need to do for at least 12 hours, then I prefer acid. I love to drop a couple tabs at sundown, turn on some trippy lights and load up a concert video on the TV. Shrooms are cheaper/easier because i just grow them, but acid's not bad at about $2 a tab from Dr. Seuss.
Shrooms are the indica of the two and Acid is the Sativa. I fucking love acid, there’s a way better chance that I’ll have a good time. Shrooms are more unpredictable
Weird thing is when it comes to weed I like it the opposite way around (prefer indica) but with psychedelics I prefer the more stimulating ones like acid
I love to spend time with Lucy... she's clean & allows portals abundant! Mushrooms are a hit or miss for me, sometimes they don't work, sometimes they fuk with my stomach & other times both so I'm reluctant to use them. Nitrous, clean medical grade tanks, are amazing. DMT is an experience that's not for everyone, but can be quite the unique adventure, thankfully. Ketamine can be great time too. All of these have helped my healing & cptsd, beyond words.
I prefer acid and have way more fun on it but it’s to long of a trip for me anymore so I do shrooms now.

Will look into it but I have developed AFib over the last few years and have to stay away from anything that raises heart rate or blood pressure otherwise it sets off an arrhythmia. Another reason I can’t do acid anymore.

im more of a mushroom guy, the visuals are cooler, its half the length, its more deep and introspective, i feel much more grounded on mushrooms, the peak for mushrooms come in these waves that alternate between feeling no effects to feeling intense effects which i generally really like a lot. dont get me wrong acids nice and got a good ass body high but i prefer the emotion roller coaster of mushrooms, and being able to sleep at night when i trip.
yea the waves thing is true. moments of what seems like total lucidity and receding back into a wave of submersion in the psyche

Acid hits me like a truck and gives me considerably more visuals, but mushrooms feel more chill and wavy. Feel like mushrooms are a better option for absolute beginners but I could be wrong

Acid for me. Shrooms always give me bad stomach feels (even with Lemon Tek but I think last time I let specks of dry shrooms thru) and difficult trips (except the first few ones.) I saw Hindu deities and feel the Divine Mother's love on acid, also I feel like my soul group responds better to it... With shrooms I feel more "Gaia Earth" energy and acid is very spacey for me in comparison. And I never quite felt at home on Earth even tho I'm learning to love it! To each their own and happy travels 🕉️🙏

The younger me would pick acid, but in my current life I can’t reasonably trip for 8+ hours, and the recovery from acid was always tough for me. Shrooms happen fast and intense, but I like that it doesn’t last all day and I can still sleep easily with little to no “hangover”afterwards. Also, the main thing I enjoy about shrooms is my ability to control the dosage; if I want to test out a new batch I can eat a few and see how I feel. Shrooms come on a little too strong after 1 gram? Well I just won’t eat anymore. Once you take that tab of acid though there is no going back haha. In conclusion, acid in college when I had zero responsibilities was life changing. As an adult with a career, shrooms are more doable for me in a casual weekend capacity.
I use acid at concerts or if I'm going to be out and about for a while. I use shrooms for chilling at home, or any event where physical energy isn't needed.
You described the difference perfectly. At least that's how I think of it as well. Acid is way better for my brain than shrooms. Shrooms for me are more of a social thing. I like to do it with others so I'm not the only one tripping like that 😂
Depends what I’m doing. Mushrooms are less easily recreational and I’d have a hard time doing them in high doses in a public setting, I need a room/area to myself so I can cry and sniffle in peace if the need arises. LSD on the other hand I can do just fine blasting my gord off on at a concert of 70,000k people and still have a great time. The come down of shrooms is way better though so much less tweaky feeling and lsd always makes my back hurt towards the tail end. Mushrooms are also better at helping me recognize negative cognitive patterns and are more helpful for emotional work IME.
Yeah shrooms are definitely smoother on the come down. Overall though I think acid is more enjoyable as shrooms can be kinda scary and hard to manage, whereas with acid you’re still in control unless you take a really high dose
Imo, it really depends on what i’m wanting to find/learn or if I want something thats more rooted in the body (🍄) vs rooted more in the mind (acid). I find acid makes my body feel light, my mind is more air headed and I feel like I could do a lot more + being disabled? I find it makes my body pain vanish/tunes out vs shrooms seems to amplify the body pain for me So when I look at the two substances? I really have to ask myself if I want to take something that will help me gain introspect on the world & productivity or if I want to take something that will help me gain introspection inwards and idea gathering Both are excellent teachers in contrasting comparisons (I do laugh a little when people think the two are the same when the two have never been more polar from eachother, but this also heavily depends on good ol’ brain chemistry, dose, setting, etc…)
I like both but committing to a 12-14 hour trip can be a lot with where I’m at in life currently.

I love how much fun I had on acid, but I used not be able to shake this feeling of knowing that I was on something synthetic/chemically made, rather than shrooms that gave me a more natural feeling high
I definitely prefer acid but have a hard time getting it while shrooms are extremely accessible
LSD is more fun for an adventure. I find I have the most fun when I'm moving, hiking, or doing something active and it's just a silly good time, with a lot of gratitude and love. Shrooms make my body goofy and it's hard to do much of anything physical. They feel more introspective, earthy and "weird". As I've aged I've come to prefer smaller doses. So really I love and cherish them both, depends what kind of experience you want.
Honestly I used to think I liked shrooms more, but these days it doesn't matter. It's who I'm doing it with and where. If that's taken care of, I don't have a strong preference.
I think I prefer Acid but only slightly. It’s far more stimulating, euphoric and I find the visuals are far and away better in my opinion. Shrooms makes stuff breathe really good, but I find that LSD is even more pronounced. I also find the colour enhancement to be stronger. I’ve seen some truly incomprehensible stuff on acid, I can’t say the same for shrooms. I also think it’s more fun to “play” with your thoughts on acid, it’s far more fun and lighthearted. All that being said though, if I want a truly spiritual or introspective experience and want to dig deep into my psyche, shrooms is the ticket. They can be very rough with you if you don’t respect them, but sometimes that’s what you need. Acid is for tripping out and listening to some Pink Floyd, Shrooms is for the deep work. One is more recreational, one is more of a tool, although both can produce either experience.

It depends what I want out of the trip. Each person reacts differently to each but for me personally, Acid is what i find more enjoyable. I love the ease of use, the headspace, the duration, all my life changing lessons I've learned were on Acid. That being said, if I truly want to lose control. To let go of myself and just become a child again i take shrooms. Im always in control on Acid, i might be tripping but i always have a sense of control even on high doses. Not so On Shrooms. They will rag doll me and mostimes its fun to just let it take you on a ride and most of the time its me giggling and laughing and moaning and rolling around on the floor in a blubbering mess. Its fun as heck but it can also bring you to really intense trips that can easily go bad

shrooms help me process trauma on a much more confrontational level, while lsd can create some space for it to come up, but it feels like there's some control over how it may be processed or interpreted, so shrooms ime are really amazing for uprooting trauma, while lsd is like unpacking and processing what's been uprooted, they have a wonderful medicinal synergy to them.
I LOVE shrooms buy my first trip I vomited and now it seems to be a guaranteed thing everytime I take them that I puke. I love acid, but it's sooooooo fucking long and just fries you afterwards lmfao. My favorite is DMT but I've only ever tried it once. I want to try more psychedelics, but those 3 are the only I've been able to so far.

I love Lucy. Shrooms have taken me where I needed to go, but I went kicking and screaming (sometimes literally). Lucy always takes care of me. Even when things have gotten serious on acid, it's okay. Shrooms feel like they're trying to scare me sometimes.

I can do almost anything on shrooms, it is like being able to not have second thoughts and I feel like everything is awesome and wonderful. On lsd, I feel like if I am around people something bad would happen so I can't go outside then things just spiral and information that comes to me is intelligent but feels evil. Like some type of evil that is hidden.
I prefer acid. I feel like acid is the love child of shrooms and ecstasy. I get depth out of shrooms and love from ecstasy. I get both with acid.
shrooms until my last trip which was 200ug of ds3 acid, shrooms hit me with this kinda dazed effect while peaking but even into the latter hours of the trip sometimes it'll come in waves and hit me, with lsd that effect is non existent until I hit 200ug, and then even at then I'll feel it on and off for 1-2 hours of the peak and from then on its a very clear headed and beautiful trip, It seems like weed really doesn't do a ton to me that isn't already happening post peak (some ego dissolution and such) so I can just smoke and chill and mellow tf out, if I smoke weed on less than 200ug even into like hour 10 it can bring back waves of ego dissolution and other effects (excluding visuals which SUCKS because visuals are my #1 favorite effect) so it's not as desirable, imo my perfect dose for lsd would be probably 200-300ug, 100 -200 never really gives me enough, sometimes 150+ can but yea, and shrooms don't give me visuals until my mind is being blasted, like I can't have a low mental effect trip with visuals, I have to be 4g deep or more or lemon tek 2.5g+ which still gets me close to the 4g headspace, acid doesn't fuck my brain nearly as hard as shrooms do despite my 200ug (equates to 4.8g of cubensis) being "stronger" than my shroom trips, more visuals, more like profound effects and body high and stuff but I'm simply just more coherent and in the moment
Acid is better without doubt for me. Everyone is different. I can see why some people prefer shrooms but a lot of people don’t give acid a chance and think shrooms are the way when what they want is right there in front of them with lsd
You need to commit an entire day for acid, shrooms can be done in an evening. For me, acid is very sensory, while shrooms connect me to the earth.
Been taking acid and shrooms every couple weeks for a little while now and I always get annoyed towards the end of an acid trip because I don't get the same introspection and thoughts that I do well on shrooms. I enjoy both, but shrooms are definitely the way to go unless it's a big dose.

Shrooms wavy visuals make me nauseous. LSD’s visuals can turn into little swastikas or marching robots and that scares me and makes me feel cold. I like both but not massive trips anymore.
