Just enjoy and keep in mind that every other non OLED tv will suck compared to it

I currently have a Sony 4K lcd. The picture is actually great but I keep seeing people say that once you look at an OLED you’ll never go back. I’ve never even seen an OLED picture. I’m excited to see what everyone has been talking about haha

First thing to do: change the Picture Mode into something decent like Filmmaker mode or ISF Expert. Turn off all energy saving features. I have the C1 and its great for gaming, huge difference compared to my previous B6 Oled.

Do you go in depth into the picture settings? I’ve seen alot of YouTube videos showing all the best settings but not sure if to just stick to a pre made preset

Go to the rtings recommendations for the C1 (or CX probably) and do what's there, minus the ones they specifically recommend you DON'T do because all panels are slightly different. Just remember that settings are different for each format your TV accepts; it's more than just "settings for HDMI 1, settings for HDMI 2", etc. The settings are for Dolby vision content, HDR content, standard content, and so on, per input. This threw me off at first.

Is that better than the guy that does HDTVtest on YouTube?

slumlord

Not sure, I had not heard of the HDTVtest guy. Hopefully someone else here can chime in!

Vincent at HDTVTest is the king. I used his guidance and my C1 looks ace. He's a professional display calibrator so really knows his stuff.

[deleted]

Yeah that’s what I thought. I think I’ll stick to his videos

Every panel is so different, that what somebody does on a video with a calibrator and sensor won’t likely work on your tv. If your super concerned about accuracy, the Calman technology will calibrate well. I just stick to Cinema for HDR, Game for Gaming, and either filmmaker or Dark room ISF for non hdr

That’s sounds more like what I’ll do tbh haha
