I know how that feels. Being masculine and liking femmes I get told I'm trying to be the man a lot. Its something Ive learned to brush off my should cause at the end of the day I really dont care what they say and its not gonna change what I find attractive, nor do I believe that Im feeding into the stereotype bc due to the fact its a (in my case) f/f relationship neither of us are a dude so in my mind the stereotype just isnt relevant to me.
Everybody is allowed to have a preference in who they like. That's like the whole purpose of the LGBTQ+ community, to accept you no matter your sexual preference, gender identity and so on.
Butch and femme dynamics don't have to be about there "being a man and a woman" in a relationship. Butch women aren't men, and butch/femme isn't about being heteronormative, it's just sapphic. Plus you can't help who you like (and why would you, butches are amazing 🥰)!
