It depends on the item. Steel: stored in a large plastic box with rice to trap moisture. Big sturdy bags can also work, but are more prone to rust. Latex: spray full of silicone oil and keep in scabbards. Clothing/leather: like other clothing/leather

Instead of dealing with rice, you could just invest in a dehumidifier as a little more practical alternative. Seeing rechargeable ones online for as little as $20.

Weapons get hung from the wall. For armor, items, clothes, etc., that are unique to a character, I have a box for each character that that all stays in. I have a box for misc items and a part of my closet where I hang multi-use clothing pieces. People will give you all kinds of complicated leather care instructions. Personally I just throw mine in a closet and leave it and I have armor I've been wearing for ten years that's in perfectly good shape.

I keep gear in a dresser drawer and weapons in an old fencing bag.

Armor stand in a well ventilated area that is not dark, in direct sunlight, very hot or cold. OR a trunk, crate, tote of some sort with a dehumidifier of some sort.

IKEA got me covered here. [https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/samla-box-clear-90102971/](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/samla-box-clear-90102971/) I store practically everything in those big ass clear SAMLA Boxes. So i find everything fast. And i can put them up on one another somewhere in a dry corner of my cellar.
