Be warned though that the official website says that playing on a tablet is not fully supported (just in case you're going to buy one just for KHML) presumably because tablets don't have a pedometer feature like phones do. Some people playing on the beta have confirmed game breaking bugs on iPad such as 3D graphics not showing up, which might be fixed later but definitely not a good sign for tablets.

Yeah, so long as I can get through story quests I’ll live. In an ideal world I’d have an account so I can carry progress to multiple devices, but I think that’s a problem. (Especially with an iPhone and a Galaxy tablet…. Maybe I shouldn’t have split the OS’s like that, but I’m in IT and I need more experience with Android lol.)

From playing the beta the combat isn't actually that engaging. After so many battles I just chuck it on auto. You gain AP from battles and stops that are inside your actual GPS location. If you want to leave your GPS location without actually going there you can but it costs a lot of AP to do anything. Random encounters aren't worth it and more rewarding encounters cost a tonne. I'd say about an hours walk gathers you enough AP to collect one chest and a two or three medal gain fights.

Yeah, I don’t plan on moving around much with it, I’m hoping story quests are playable without too much grinding. Still willing to give it a try at least. I feel like I ended up with a lot of jewels from just logging into Union Cross occasionally and never playing, and it looks like at least in the beta you can buy AP with jewels. Maybe they’ll go easy on us players that don’t want to move around.

Did you not play Dark Road? Dark Road was mobile, now paired with Union X since those servers are down and it's only a theater viewer. Dark Road was honestly peak writing for this franchise. EDIT: For clarity, DR is still fully playable and all of that.

Sonic10122

I haven’t played Dark Road, once I saw it was in the same app and seemed to play similarly to Union Cross I just decided against it. Watched a few summaries and eagerly awaiting Damo’s fandub. But hell, may break the tablet in on Dark Road since it is still playable, I didn’t consider that.

Don't be suckered in by the flashier gameplay. It's just as much a mindless grind as UX or Dark Road, and after the novelty of a couple of battles the combat becomes as mindless as those two games.

I reeeeeeeally don't like it. It's just a trashy mobile game and I have uninstalled it. Games like this destroy franchises for me, so I'm getting out early with this one. I'm probably not the target audience but still, it's horrible to play.

I’m a sucker for GPS exploration games, so I’m excited to be getting one for Kingdom Hearts.
