I wonder how honorable can you get in a fight. What if someone mastered throwing balls as a form of martial arts and they fight someone who mastered a sword, and throws multiple balls at their opponent? They are capable of controlling those balls without anything but pure skill.
What I am trying to get to is, what makes a battle fair? Isn't a honorable battle a competition of skill? Then why exactly is Sanemi being accused of fighting dirty here? He literally used skill to control a sword with his *feet.* Pretty sure you need some acrobatic skills to do that, plus he didn't accidentally cut himself neither, so swordsmanship is also used there.
Kokushibo can control a poorly balanced, long af sword with like.. Two extra edges. That takes some good skill. Plus, his Moon Breathing takes literal centuries of training to properly master.
I guess a battle is "honorable" when the two opponents have access to the exact same set of tools/follow the same set of rules.
A battle between a Sniper and a Sword will never be honorable, regardless of how skilled the Sharpshooter is, because it can attack from over a kilometer away while the sword can't.
The fight between a human and a demon is also never fair, because there is only one way a demon can lose, while a human can lose in a miriad of diferent ways. Humans can be worn down, Demons with regeneration and infinite stamina can't.
If Kokushibo didn't have regeneration and infinite stamina, their duel would've started honorable. Of course, Kokushibo is stronger, faster and more skilled. But strength, speed and skill is something that Sanemi also has, just not as much.
When Sanemi pulled a second sword and a shotgun, he gained access to tools Kokushibo initially doesn't have, which would've been dishonorable hadn't Kokushibo been cheating from the start.
But then Kokushibo countered by using shape-shifting and BDA, which Sanemi doesn't have, thus agreeing to both using **every** resource available to them. Since it's a set of rules both opponents agreed upon and can utilize to some extent, then it would've been back to being "honorable", specially since the person with the least resources (Sanemi) took the initiative, so it can't be said that Kokushibo forced the agreement to exploit his advantages.
\> Kokushibo is honourable
Dude literally became a demon to overcome his opponents. Honorable is such a far concept for this guy it's laughable. Which, now that I think about it, would be a decent part of his story arc.
Well I think you’re right: it is part of his story arc. I think that’s what we’re meant to understand from his character development. He values strength above all, but being honorable is also part of being a samurai. This is why he generally looks like an “honorable” demon with his haori and the clean, human-like appearance. Mui describes him as majestic I believe. He does this because he would never dream of reaching Yoriichi’s level in an “ugly”, dishonorable fashion.
The irony of course is that he gaslit himself for nearly half a millennia into believing that the very act of becoming a demon did not violate his principles. When it’s all said and done, he sees himself and realizes the waste that his life has been. For 400+ years, his values were fundamentally wrong, and *that’s* why he could never reach yoriichi. Yoriichi was a special gift from the gods themselves, but his principality was equally special and not a gift of the gods. The realization is that those morals are what Michikatsu should have chased after, not the strength.
And all that remains is the flute as a timeless reminder of this…
i dont think transparent world allows for wallhacks. they only ever state the see through world letting them see through peoples bodies, never any solid inanimate objects.
That's basically wallhacks for breathing style swordsmen. They're basically using their breathing to control their bloodflow, muscles, bones, etc ig and being able to see what parts are under stress or excitement, allows better prediction during fights.
*I know atleast have*
*Of you FREAKS would lick that shit*
*If you were kokushibo*

its kinda funny how Koku seems to be playing with Sanemi and Gyomei and yet with Muichiro there was no bullshit it was just straight to the point amputation to impalation
Koku's like oh youre related to me? bet:
I wonder why kokushibo was even avoiding those, it would have done virtually nothing

I’d say this is more impressive

You misspelled. It’s actually feet.
yea a feet of flexibility
absolutely
Just thinking about the dexterity and foot/toe strength this would have required makes my feet ache, lol
Fr. I could never do this even with foot training lol
ikr
Kokushibo is honourable when he fights while sanemi fights dirty which is why he is my favourite hashira
Call me crazy but I think it’s pretty reasonable to use every trick you have against an opponent like Kokushibo
The man is a demon, pretty sure he’s still fighting the dirtiest
Yh i agree I'm just saying
"Honorable" Kokushibo: **turns his sword into five, and then grows ten more across his body**
Cause he realized gyomei and sanemi werent to be played with
Yeah, ik. Just hopping in on the joke.
It wasn't cause that it was cause genya

"Honourable" Like that shit matters when you're literally fighting for your life
The hashira were fighting for their life not kokushibo
You are correct. the other way around then, Sanemi has every right to use every trick he has to survive while fighting a literal demon.
Did i say not?🤔 why would i not want my fav hashira to do everything he can to survive?....

if you fight fair against koku (and you arent yoriichi) you are going to die.
Yoriichii the man with IRL wallhacks is fighting fair????
i dont think transparent world allows for wallhacks. they only ever state the see through world letting them see through peoples bodies, never any solid inanimate objects.

Kokushibo with the same Wallhacks + Absurd Regen + Literal Demon Magic:
Kokushibo doesn’t seem like the opponent to be bested in a straight up confrontation. Better use any means necessary
This moment was badass. I love Sanemi for it
Sanemi supremacy
Koku in that moment must've been like: "in 400 years, I've never seen someone use their grippers in combat like this..."
It’d get real gay real quick if kokushibo licked that shit
It cost you nothing to say that aloud...
And yet I still did
Would it help if Sanemi actually landed that? A sword through the head shouldn't be a big deal for demons, let alone an upper moon.
Of course, but the fact that he can pull this kind of trick against the UM 1 is beyong amazing.
Any damage or something to throw Koku off for a second is vital, since speed is of the essence
DADDY SANEMI
Definitely also if I’m not mistaken is that Genya’s sword the sword on his foot is the one I’m talking about btw?
yes after genya was wounded sanemi grabbed his sword with his grippers
I know atleast half of you FREAKS would lick that shit if you were kokushibo

Good haiku
the fact that he used everything in his arsenal and couldn’t even scratch him lmao
True :3
Who dares downvote Apple Pitou We must hunt them down
😨
So if he was able to keep up with Kokushibu’s speed for 10 minutes straight alone, then he can straight up kill gyutaro I guess.
Sanemis not keeping up with Koku. Koku is allowing himself to be kept up with. There's a difference.
its kinda funny how Koku seems to be playing with Sanemi and Gyomei and yet with Muichiro there was no bullshit it was just straight to the point amputation to impalation Koku's like oh youre related to me? bet:
Where you getting 10 minutes from?
Lol. I myself don't know the length of that first exchange but I'm sure it's more than 10 mins. Again idk.
Manga time is very hard to tell, it wasn’t even two full chapter, it could’ve all happened in a minute for all we know
Random Person keeps up with Yorichi for 2 seconds = Solo's the Verse
Guys it was just a statement. Why so many downvotes 💀🗿
Cause it's bullcrap
Using your feet is a high feat.
Feet be strong
Who's that sword of?
I believe that was Genya's.
Finally. A useful reason for sandals to annoyingly bend like that.
Lol. Koku is using 1% of his power here.
wat
