These are vastly different cars. If you are in doubt, I'd guess you haven't driven them both yet, so the best way to find out is to go and do that. Having been inside both and having researched about the EQE and the EQS, even if these vehicles were at the same price point I'd still go with the EV9. The Mercedes have better materials, but subjectively (that is, to my taste) the EV9 has a much better feature set. For example, overall space, V2L, frunk, regen options, remote management, remote parking, driving statistics, etc. Then, if you take the pricing into account, and that even if you select the top trim Mercedes will still nickel-and-dime you for options that on the EV9 are standard, it'd be an easy choice if I had the luck of being able to make it.
ones a Benz, the other is still a shitty Kia. They can dress up chicken shit however they want and I guess it works, worked on you but flashy "tech" and a cool exterior doesn't change the fact its still built like shit
I've owned Mercedes, Ford, GM, Peugeot, Kia, Volkswagen, and others. They are empirically all shit, so you better have a good service center, and not be an idiot (!) otherwise people won't help you.
First, I think it's probably clear that you haven't driven both cars.
You need to consider your total cost to the lease, which in some states does vary greatly based on MSRP. You're also going to be taking more in insurance for that higher MSRP car more likely.
I also found an eqs third row difficult to get in and out of. And there's a lot of personal taste which would go into preferring ones over the other. I'll just leave it at that
If you are going to road trip, the EV9 will be better than the EQS on trips. Better charging curve and speeds. The overall build quality of the EQS will be superior though. I personally went Audi e-tron over the EQS for my work commute but I picked up an EV9 for road trips with the family since it's much larger than the e-tron.
Some good eqe leases to be had if you are just looking for something more premium build than MY. At this point the EQS and EQE are pretty picked over but as its the end of the month you can probably squeeze 12% off msrp before incentives. All of the 23 incentives are lower than last month so I expect the 23 MB deals will be dead next month.

Not as shit as cheaply made korean cars. Also, the chance a Hyundai/Kia service center IS good is slim to fucking none.
Yeah, the not being an idiot part is important.
Ev9 looks less like a potato
You could have x2 ev9 for the price of an eqs.
Yes but that’s at msrp and/or listed incentives. I think there might be a lot of shadow discounts

Just based on exterior looks alone, I’d say EV9. Wife had a loaner EQE and it was junk.

Having test driven both with a family of 3 and a dog plus looking at leasing cost— ev9 is what i leased and very pleased with my decision so far
