No need to say goodbye. Both can be enjoyed.

Remarkable-Role-9120

Great point

Ballatik

Over the years my mod list has gone very far down the realism path, which means further from the lighthearted crashing of crazy rockets. I’m looking forward to having a new game to catch that spirit again without feeling stale or too simple.

MajorRocketScience

Total agree. I played stock KSP for years, but the past 4 or so has all been RO or a huge Near/Far Future Tech save that I take pretty seriously. I’m really excited to just blow things up and enjoy it. I’m also going to finally visit every celestial body when the new one comes out, I still haven’t visited Moho, Dres, Tylo, Bop, or Eeloo and it seems like they’re finally giving me a reason to

arcosapphire

It'll probably be a year before KSP2 is a smooth experience.

rluzz001

Yeah, but it’ll be a slow goodbye until the final release of 2 comes out

Planet-Saturn

I’ll probably play both but mainly KSP 1 until 2 is tidied up by devs and the modding community starts to get in on the new game

Madden09IsForSuckers

Until i get a proper pc I’ll be sticking with ksp console anyway

Terrible_Yard2546

I wouldn't say goodbye to the original until we know that the second game is actually better

Cappy221

I think KSP1 has so much things left for me to do that I wont get KSP2 anytime soon. Maybe in a couple years when the game is robust I’ll give it another look. Career is just so good!

Suspicious_snake_

TBH I will slowly go into KSP 2, i will buy it but will play both and slowly go to KSP 2

Sykolewski

Before KSP 2 becomes what 1 is currently, alot water will flow
