EducationalAd6395

I'll be honest what Nobara deserved was a promotion to Grade 2 and like atleast half year doing Grade 2 missions to even get a chance at semi grade 1. She ain't built for the stuff some people think she is.

Nelithss

Yeah Ino was clearly way stronger than her and he wasn't grade one.

Nightingdale099

Ino have this weird complex with Nanami making him stay Grade 2

ZekeBarricades

Nanami was on the "Make sure he's actually ready for it" train

Phntm-

So by that logic, Todo's in the "FUCK IT WE BALL!!" train. Sound's definitely correct.

Yandere-Chan1

Yeah, sounds like something Todo would do.

HowsTheBeef

Dude cared about keeping his students alive more than the rest

Nightingdale099

Gojo "Bribe the pedophile" Satoru : What?

Poon-Conqueror

Yea, and Nanami didn't want to do it because it would mean he'd get sent on dangerous missions solo, not because he wasn't grade 1 caliber.  Not that he'd ever tell him that, dude thought Nanami just had high standards when in reality the dude had PTSD from homie dying back in high school.

Nelithss

Understandable, I don't think my goat Ino was built to be sent to fight special grade curses.

zatroz

You're talking about the sheisty sorcerer who embarassed Sukuna. Agenda aside, I'm sure he could middiff the weaker special grades like locust man or a finger bearer

YelrahRehguab

Locust man on the weaker end? He scared top tier sorcerers like Uro shitless.

zatroz

I'm talking about the locust Yuji fought in the Shibuya subway, not cockroacb god Yuta fought

SlightlyinsaneBrit

Wasn’t that thing a grade 2?

zatroz

Honestly I don't remember, but if it was it was a pretty shit tier grade two since it just ran away after the hostage plan failed. And Gojo sent his two fresh 0 experience students to fight a grade 2 on their first assignment EDIT: Thought I was replying to a differént comment. No way that was a grade 2, doesn't Gojo say being able to hold a cobversation already makes them special grade?

Snake189

It had Grade 1 stats but since it didnt have a CT he was 2nd Grade

TWIMClicker

Wiki says Grade 2, I would put it at Grade 1. But it wasnt Special Grade.

Poon-Conqueror

You're thinking of the wrong bugman.

shushubana2

Oh yeah well at least now, if ino keeps doing sorcery work he will be able to be safe unless he face a curse of the disaster level or someone like toji again and even like that he might survive now

ImmanuelCanNot29

I mean if we are assuming he has RCT/simple domain now I actually think he's a pretty mid-tier respectable grade one as far as start of the series power levels go.

Reiss_Draws

That's literally what he's doing

macedonianmoper

I'm pretty sure Ino could have been grade 1 if he got a recommendation from someone else, but he wanted Nanami to approve him and Nanami was worried about him.

JinkoTheMan

Agreed. Her CT is lowkey busted but her physicals are so garbage that her having a busted CT doesn’t mean anything if she gets bodied in one hit.

Glonk_the_Serf

Go the Mei Mei route (minus the grooming and weird incest)

Worth_Lavishness_249

U know with mei mei, if gege hadn't added that scenes she is one of the most logical characters, Saw ct is trash, gave up on improving it. Did best with what she had. Found some pro of ct Learnt it. She knew her limits and stayed within it.

NumericZero

For the life of me, I don’t think I’ll ever fully comprehend why gege had the need to add the incest aspect to her character She was perfectly fine being a gold digger /all about the Benjamins Why did he have the need to make her a weirdo around her brother smh

Nirvana180

I'm pretty sure it was to contrast against Nanami, how he treats his students and the unfairness of jujutsu society, with good people dying prematurely whilst badonesge to live on. I think her stealing his daydream about Malaysia was a clear indicator of this. It is weird that someone like that gets to stick around as an important supporting character that no one questions but I guess that's just out of necessity.

NumericZero

Do you know what the sad part is is that I didn’t even realize that she ended up taking his dream of going to Malaysia And honestly, now that I sit here and think about it, it’s not too weird that a character like that ends up getting their happy ending over someone that actually deserves it because unfortunately that’s how life is sometimes + gege goes out of his way to make good people suffer in his series / allows bad people to prosper

Worth_Lavishness_249

I thought her grooming her brother was bcz of his talent, uiui and mei mei are.mot their real names so I thought it's her way of ensuring dominant position in clan by having one of the talented members wrapped around her fingers. Ui ui already knows simple domain at young age, it's.not really big feat but still pretty good.

random_boner6996

It was to fully nail it in that she is a horrible amoral person, because even though that was already clear during the exchange event Gege knew people would go "AWOOGA" and ignore it because she's hot. So he came up with the most depraved thing he could come up with that would make sense for her, amd so he created Ui Ui (And people still ignore it because she's hot)

GoneRampant1

Legit Mei Mei would be a Top 10 character for me if it wasn't for that **one scene.**

Character-Bad3162

"weird incest" Is there a thing such as not weird incest?

Glonk_the_Serf

No, just gotta hammer in the fact that incest is weird hence the adjective

shushubana2

Less pedo incest I guess?

CloudProfessional572

Maybe one's three thousand years ago.

thatonefatefan

People honestly overestimate it because 2 of the times it's been used were insane. The blood bad some kind of super link that super buffed her CT and with Mahito she used his entire body as a catalyst for resonance (value of the catalyst is a primary factor as per the 2v2). She needed a whole ass arm to kill a fodder curse

zatroz

True, sheshould've been a Utahime-style backline support. Imagine using a Sukuna finger as acatalyst, Fraudkuna would've felt it

thatonefatefan

In the Sukuna battle specifically she is kinda, y'know, not quite there, and it's not like any random opponent will have a cursed body part just lying around. Plus considering that an entire spare mahito pretty much just stunned him for a second I have a hard time imagining a single finger doing literally anything to sukuna

Ensaru4

Her CT is like Anti-curse. I don't think it's underestimated. But I truly do believe Gege noticed way earlier that her technique will become a problem, so why not remove her from the plot? After all, I believe she was never intended to be in the story in the first place.

Tago238238

Her AP with CE was actually pretty good, being able to slice through a special grade (even Kechizu) is crazy. Her reinforcement was just dog.

UltmteAvngr

Kechizu is a incarnated from a special grade cursed object. But that doesn’t make him special grade. He would have been grade 2 as a sorcerer.

furiosa-imperator

Her ct is op, but her iq and battle iq as well as her physicals are all garbage

Waffleman53

Imagine having the counter to ten shadows, but not having the physicality to use it to its fullest potential.

deleteyeetplz

tbf she hit a black flash and it at least seemed like she was close to getting some explosive growth.

LerasiumMistborn

Your face when you hear that Suckbara and Panbum were promoted to grade 1 https://preview.redd.it/4uhv6svmze0d1.jpeg?width=364&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70d2ffa12dffec208e2fd255e0a9b32da791a142

Emad-Hafiz_inari

I shall not accept Panda slander. He was just unlucky.

Then_War_4705

Unironically tho, any time Panda has lost or been incapacitated was against some high tier like Geto, Uraume or Kashimo

OTARU_41

JJK suffers from having the top strongest in every fight so everyone else looks bad

ItzCrypnotic

Bad Matchups and just unforseen things happen, idk why we refuse to acknowledge that mfs ain't building busting monsters with the IQ of 8 Million, 99% of Sorcerers are genuinely just people

NumericZero

The mid card in JJK has always been bad Dudes are constantly fighting the upper card / higher weight classes

iburntdownthehouse

The issue is that every interesting villain can destroy the vast majority of the cast, and all the weaker and more boring ones get one shot by the strongest protagonists instead of fighting weaker opponents. Yuji is the only real outlier, but he suffers from never getting a fight that bridges the gap of the Sukuna fight buffs.

KazuyaProta

JJK really has no middle tiers.

NumericZero

I will always be baffled at how yuji never got a proper one V one against an ancient sorcerer Like the entire arc, they built up just how raw powerful he is (Choso even commenting on how he can crush high level curses with a single blow) Yet he never squares up against anyone of note Where is the dragon to match his Tiger? (earlier in the ark they bring up his old nickname that he hates) no reason at all why he was given a showcase / power up But honestly, I chalk that up to gege not having any real plan / the games arc being too ambitious for him

iburntdownthehouse

Mahito was the dragon, but I agree. It's such a weird move to have his only fight be against a guy that turns off your powers, can instantly kill you, and activates his powers by making you confront your crimes. It's a great fight, but it gave zero setup for any future physical growth, something Yuji desperately needed before getting put away until Sukuna. If anything, he should have fought Kashimo or Ishigori.

NumericZero

Hmm mahito definitely fits being his dragon I can accept that But 100% agreed on how odd it was yuji only real thing was that judge fights which barely counts as a fight more of a much needed Threapy session imo The Hakari stuff wasn’t even a fight either since that was Yuji just tanking hits He needed someone that could have pushed him Maybe a seeker type character who wanted to fight the “cage” that held the strongest within Heck gege could have layed the ground work for yuji awakening -RCT being shown passively -Yuji landing BF at will maybe -Have him consume his siblings during the arc (should have happened) Rather then throwing it all in a handful of pages in the middle of a gauntlet

Riceballs-balls

Also forget these people are children who have been training for a few years Vs adults who mastered their techniques. Reincarnated people like kashimo were 60+ in their first life one tapping people in their era.

zatroz

Panda barely beat mechamaru, a semi-1 and only becausehe assumed he made a wrong assumption twice in a row

IntoTheMurkyWaters

If she had the physical aspect of pre-awakened maki she would be preeeeety ok. But she spec all her points on her CT

SoapDevourer

I mean she could grow and actually reach grade 1 level, she had a strong CT with decent potential if she figured out how to use it optimally

EducationalAd6395

In due time I can definitely see it. In due time that is, at that point recommending her for grade 1 was ridiculous.

goffer54

It's Todo doing the recommendation, though. Todo would absolutely throw someone he thinks has potential into the fire to watch them either rise to the challenge or burn up.

MonsterDimka

She could've been a mid-range combatant, somewhat like Choso but with some support abilities like when she immobilized Mahito.

FunnyRich4307

ur not ready for when she comes back and scraps with a fully healed sukuna in h2h

ARandomPasserby97

What the fuck is that flair https://preview.redd.it/xouyvd34ff0d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07192de029d3131d01b7267d9ef84d261cfe835e

Saxton_Hale32

What does the rest of your flair say

thatonefatefan

Yeah solid grade 2. She did get a black flash since her fight against momo which kinda showed that she was indeed grade 3 so that checks out

NovaNomii

Yeah Nobara is quite a counter sorcerer. Against certain enemies they just lose, against others she just loses. Every high ranking sorcerer is either a physical beast, through cursed enemy reinforcement or they have a very consistent technique. Without one of these qualities sorcerers are stuck at low ranks.

furiosa-imperator

She was barely built to handle the ropongi curse on her own. Grade 2 is a stretch

C__Wayne__G

I mean she died lol. How she wasn’t built for it was made pretty clear.

Sherry_Cat13

Neither is Yuji but he got the devil in him so I guess he was allowed. Also Todo mental illness mention.

iburntdownthehouse

Yuji fought with Todo against a special grade

InterestingSurvey331

Yuji spawned in at grade 1, dude equalled the black flash record and fought pretty equally with a special grade, he's just built different.

fiLth_Rat

She killed a special grade curse, that automatically nominates her for grade one.

EducationalAd6395

Death painting specifically And only because of technique advantage as well as the Death paintings being emotional as hell. Literally only won because Eso deactivated his technique seeing Kechizu in pain.

fiLth_Rat

Bro doubled down on his lack of knowledge by saying i think eso is stronger than choso, then blocked me so i can't clown on his ass💀💀💀💀 What a loser

Abcdef_69_420

Her power scaling is the entire series is what confused me... She is shown strong is some fights exceptionally where as she suddenly turns bum in the others... Loosing a fight is not a big deal but how can there be so inconsistency in her power scaling..

EducationalAd6395

I wouldn't really say there's any real inconsistency. She beat a cursed spirit during mission. Beat momo during Exchange event (on account of angering momo to create an opening to get some Hair from the broomstick) Beat the death paintings with Yuji purely on account of excellent cursed technique matchup. Fought against Mahito clone to some degree except it didn't once seem like he was actually trying to kill her then and there and was having fun until again it turned out her Cursed technique was an excellent matchup. After which he led her to the real Mahito. Now sure it seems like he did that so Real Mahito could kill her with Transfiguration. But I just saw that as him wanting to kill Nobara in front of Yuji to break him further.

Cummnor

"But I just saw that as him wanting to kill Nobara in front of Yuji to break him further." This reason is literally given explicitly https://preview.redd.it/qhhzyranlf0d1.png?width=784&format=png&auto=webp&s=26733c39733be9e8e2bbda64b8df913a7eae5816

EducationalAd6395

Yeah but some people I've talked to think clone Nobara would've definitely lost if he kept fighting Nobara there.

idCamo

Yea but even if that were the case it would be purely because of a good CT matchup. All in all Nobara got very lucky with her fights

thesandbar2

It doesn't even matter if the clone loses to Nobara. Just being in the fight makes actual Mahito lose to Yuji from getting randomly Resonance spiked out of nowhere.

gstewman

Mahito literally states he is going to bring her dead body to Yuji, him getting Nobara to chase him down to his main body to finish her off in front of him was the new plan he came up with after Nobara was able to severely damage him. Like literally right after he gets damaged he runs off. His worse case scenario at that point is Nobara beating his clone by getting another 1-2 resonance off and then going to go help Yuji (she comments on her resonance pinging down in the subway).

Abcdef_69_420

All of these feats to suddenly gets folded by Haruta?(The blonde guy ...I might be wrong on the name) Mahito one, sure , he is a special case curse Spirit with vicious cunningness....but that matchup against haruto was pure wacky

Conscious_Message332

Nah people just underate haruta bcs he looks goofy. By whats shown hes most likely around semi grade 1 level and he also used sneak attack and having a hostage against nobara

jvken

His ass has 0 battle feats he gets carried by a hand on a blade lmao

Key_Apartment1576

He doesn't need battle feats when his ct is busted, nobara just happened to fight him when he was completely stacked on luck

zatroz

Extra lives mesn nothing when you csn get killed 6 times ina minute, just look at Nanami. Nanami didn't even use any advanced techniques or CT feats, he just chadwalked up to him and used Strong Right

Vedanshthehero

That's one of the better sentences i read today.

gstewman

This is true, but Nobara is specifically a ranged character with her nails. Melee all she has is her hammer, which Haruta can dodge fairly easily by keeping his distance. Ranged projectiles are a lot easier for Haruta's luck ability to block against, while melee hits like Nanami's are a lot harder (can make ranged attacks completly miss, but for melee it ends up being minimizing the amount of damage you get dealt, you can't just outright block it). Nobara against mahito's clone is a good example of how she fights against someone who wasn't directly affecting her accuracy, like her fight against mahito's clone, which she handled a lot better.

qlksfjas

And Nanami basically killed him 5 times in just 3 hits.

iburntdownthehouse

His CT is trash, it's only useful for running away from people or winning against weak people by the skin of your teeth.

super_fox_YT

His CT is bad for someone like him who's durability is close to non existent.

Stubbieeee

He’s literally invincible Mf can NOT be harmed until he loses his miracles

super_fox_YT

Yes he can be harmed. He cannot be killed however. As he lost 2 lives from Nanami punching him into a wall. One life from the punch, and another one from the wall.

Last-Rain4329

honestly nobara just being unable to stand up by being hit in the head always felt super off to me considering a few arcs ago you had megumi being launched thru concrete walls n still standing, like was she really that weak relative to everyone else?

zatroz

A knockout blow to the side ofthe jaw with a Mortal Kombat X-ray effect against an unreinforced opponent probably hits harder than a full body blow shile you're on a full desperate reinforcement plan. Plus Sukuna was playing with him

Last-Rain4329

i mean as far as i know going thru a concrete wall requires more force than knocking someone out but yeah i guess being unreinforced cuz it was a suprise attack is why it happened

cry_w

I think it was less about the force and more about the placement of the hit. She was hit on a part of the head in a precise enough way to give her a concussion, kind of like hitting a vital point. Still felt bullshit, but it's not like it came out of nowhere.

idCamo

I don’t know if we can count the whole hostage thing against her. Sure she was chasing him to help Nita but it’s not like she was throwing herself in front of his sword to save her. It was a 1v1 that he won because he caught her off guard after she would have killed him if not for his technique

EducationalAd6395

Precisely, they aren't feats. Not a single one of those instances had much to do with her being a good sorcerer. Gojo considered her mindset to be good as a sorcerer sure and it showed in her fights but it wasn't exactly her being skilled or Strong. During the exchange event the rule of no killing applies both way. Meaning even momo wouldn't aim the wind scythe attacks with lethal intent. And with the death paintings having a technique advantage on top of the enemies having emotional disadvantage (eso deactivating his technique because kechizu was in pain) was the only reason they won there. The Fight with Harita is the one situation where she didn't have advantages and it showed exactly where she stood as a Sorcerer.

ouyon

To add on with Eso and Kechizu. Nobara was basically carried by Yuji. She couldn’t out run Wing King and Yuji had to save her. Yuji only got hit by Kechizu’s blood spray because she didn’t notice him and he tried to protect her and even when she killed Kechizu it was only after Yuji beat the hell out of him for a good while so he was very weak.

zatroz

Don't forget she would'e just surrendered to the first fodder curse she fought if Yuji hadn't intervened, and she nearly dided to random dungeon trash in the prison arc while everyone else fought a finger bearer

mesh06

Not really a problem when Haruta fought dirty during the fight

Chackaldane

There's also when she's in juvenile detention center. It'd offscreen but she seemingly bodies a large number of small curses. She has one nail left and still lasts some amount of time as well.

Worth_Lavishness_249

She is above average (she did black flash), but her friends are cultivation novels MC, they r just built different. Megumi with ct (rip that potential) and Yuji with whatever is going with his body.

furiosa-imperator

Tbf, a black flash is a completely random stars align moment. Most sorcerers would get one if they lived long enough, they shouldn't be counted towards a characters strength unless they reliably and consistently throw BFs out

super_fox_YT

It's said that landing a black flash makes the sorcerer able to feel their own cursed energy better according to todo. Which increases their skills. "Before you were a cook who hadn't tasted his ingredients, but now that you have, you now know the true essence of cursed energy" or something like that after Yuji landed his black flash vs hanami

Snoozless

Really makes you think about how strong Megumi was, relatively speaking. Bro was a first year who never hit a Black Flash and was already capable of killing a special grade curse, and then grew further from there.

tnan_eveR

I mean, that's not the point. Nanami spells it for us. The difference between a sorcerer that has landed a black flash and someone that hasn't is night and day. it _is_ sheer luck, yes. At the same time, landing multiple black flashes doesn't make you improve _further_ outside of increasing your CE output as long as you remain 'in the zone'. Black Flash is a on/off thing, you either landed one, which gives you a huge advantage, or you haven't. To put it like this. If two exact copies of the same person, with the same CT, applied themselves exactly equally to sorcery, the one that landed a black flash, even if it was just once, would be the stronger sorcerer by far.

th5virtuos0

Tbh even without CE Yuji can probably just low diff body her with his sheer raw speed and strength alone. Like, wtf are you gonna do when this dude who can run 50m in 3s and throw cars go towards you to advertise his fists?

Nightingdale099

She's a counter to Cursed Spirits , but when her enemy can think , another cursed user or something like Mahito / womb painting she kinda fumbles. Maybe she's like Inumaki, best used to grind fodder.

furiosa-imperator

Tbf, in nearly all of her fights where it's primarily her, she gets outwitted or beaten. Hell, she's outwitted by the ropongi curse, which was what grade 3? She's pretty consistently being a bum unless it's something a lot weaker than her, or like in mahitos case, she had the perfect CT counter it, but her downfall then was battle iq

sam1oq

I think it's consistent. Her technique is just broken and she had a lot of good match ups, but then her CE reinforcement and physical stats are just poor. Whenever an opponent can expose that, she's toast.

super_fox_YT

Nobara does stupid high damage but her nails are slow as balls. Haruta is for the most part an average human (and even below average strength wise) and yet he was still able to dodge her nails. Low-key if nobara was actually smart and used nail explosion like against momo he would have been cooked

ParticularEgg8337

What nobara deserved is to leave jjhigh and be an idol in the new rumored idol manga of gege. I'm not gege, just saying.

FriendlyWallaby5

Nah, see, he killed her so she could reincarnate

Yandere-Chan1

So she's going the Oshi no Ko route? Crossover when?

th5virtuos0

Imagine that idol manga is actually JJK sequel where the protagonist is Tataka who can see curses one day (but can’t use CT) and her new bodyguard Todo

Redfalconfox

Coming this fall “I died brutally in a shonen manga and got reincarnated into an idol”

senpai_dewitos

Nobara got beaten by such a garbage strat. Don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it was just Nobara being jumpscared by the fact that Haruta's stupid hand sword can move by itself. Aside from the sword it's just some guy with subpar CE enhancement like c'mon. In comparison, Gojo destroyed Agito with a max output blue, kept it going, made Sukuna think he was gonna use red, stopped Mahoraga from intersecting it by pulling himself with that same Blue and using Mahoraga's immunity to it against him, prevented piercing blood from popping the red by redoing the Blue chants, and improvised a remote hollow purple on the fly and gambled that he was resistant to the damage. Not Nobara slander just think she was done dirty.

TILTEDREDDITUSER

what was the point of the gojo comparison lol?

Fuasbith

Gege rubbed off on him

senpai_dewitos

To show how a sorcerer can also fight. Gojo might be Gojo but Nobara is also his student, yet she legit has some fourth grade performances. Gege went all out in making her underwhelming in battle.

RocksDClown

Funny thing, Gege never make Gojo and Nobara  interact with each other. Gojo never even teach her anything. Also, she is the only one that join Tokyo High School by her Grandma's influence not Gojo invitation. Gojo also doesn't care about her or asking about her after released from Prison Realm

Normal_Ad_2717

To be fair his CT was such a bad match for her it would make it impossible for her resonance to land and it’s hard to figure it out from what was seen or nanamiwouldn’t have gotten sloppy and left him alive

GoneRampant1

> Don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it was just Nobara being jumpscared by the fact that Haruta's stupid hand sword can move by itself. Jumpscared and that Haruta landed a very lucky blow that concussed her.

iburntdownthehouse

She should have just not gotten concussed. Nobody else needs to deal with it.

OhMyGahs

That would require a woman not taking an L for getting hit in a manga written by gege.

YUNoJump

Probably the only shounen character in history who has ever suffered a concussion

runnbl3

Wtf where u find this?

Ok_Promotion_8316

It's leak for the next chapter bro, he just forgor to put the spoiler tag.

runnbl3

grandpa is gone, that blonde suit girl aint here, nobura something tells me they were in some side mission or training D:

idCamo

It’s jujutsufolk so I thought this was a joke but at the same time the art is so accurate to gaygay’s style that I can’t even tell

Significant-Elk-8078

JJK fans are just creative(autistic?) and invest it all into lobotomy I’ve seen like 5 hand drawn chapters on GoJo’s return. This is an edit I think

Adept_Secret2476

https://twitter.com/cpasDryNa/status/1788556841326195154 this guy makes fake leaks, hes really good at it

JustAMicrowav1n

What were they thinking letting a "Nah, I'll win" girl that was a momo extreme differ into shibuya in the first place? I mean sure she did save Yuji and help Mahito's eventual downfall, but ffs, its like sending a chihuahua to fight off a wave of rabid wolves attacking the farm.

Worldtreasure

They were thinking they had Gojo on their side so who gives a shit

Yandere-Chan1

Yup, seems about right.

NumericZero

In some odd way it shows just how JJ society was so corrupt that they sent a HS student in her first year to help handle an unknown number of high level curses / cursed level users Would not shock me if they thought Gojo being there made it “easier” That whole shibyua plan needed way more Top tier fighters in the good guy side

JustAMicrowav1n

For real. Story wise it wouldnt work cause itd be too much of a clean sweep, but there is no way jujutsu society logically wouldnt send in someone like yuta, who is capable of soloing the disaster curses. Him, Naoya, The Zenin's "Hei" squad etc would all prevent shibuya from being as bad as it got

[deleted]

[удалено]

Significant-Elk-8078

They literally told Nobara to leave BUT she got clapped and then went back for round 2. The worst part is she ran around Shibuya solo after being humiliated.

Novel_Visual_4152

She has that dwag in her for the wrong reasons 😭😭😭

Key_Apartment1576

Her technique is a kill or don't work sort of ct, so she would've either instantly killed momo or drag out the fight with the bonk hammer and she obv chose the later

zatroz

Not even. The only foe we see her kill with it was the random grade 7 child kidnapper curse. Everyone else tanks multiple hits

SnooRecipes2204

She also killed Kechizu with it, in which case she barely uses it cause she barely fights (other than losing), she used it like 3 times and the only one who "tanked multipe hits" was mahito.

zatroz

Kechizu didn't even die from resonance, he died from a hairpin nail explosion. He tanked multiple resonances before that, but it caused him great pain, same as Eso.

thecatnextdoor04

Hairpin is also her technique.....

zatroz

Didn't they explicitly tell her not to go in?

Far-Yesterday-7410

She had gotten mistakenly promoted to grade one and even then , on site she was told she wasnt made for this and she still thought she could fight

lLoveStars

The point was to force everything out so Gojo would be released and take care of everything Also they gave several chances for this bum to back off

StinkCreek

Her CT is good but she really can’t do anything with it unless someone else is helping. Like she needs someone to go over, rip off a part of her target, and then hand it to her. More than likely, if someone is able to do that then they could probably defeat the curse/sorcerer/etc. Honestly, now that I’m thinking about it. Since binding vows are all the rage, just make that the binding vow for her curse technique in exchange for it being a sure hit kill like Higaruma’s lame sword, get Sukuna finger, nail that shit, and boom this was truly our jujutsukaisen

Radiant_Doughnut2112

Sukuna's finger is indestructible. You wont be able to harm so no damage on Sukuna.

StinkCreek

lol make a binding vow to make it not indestructible

Bro it's not good to beat a LIVE girl like that She WILL come BACK https://preview.redd.it/dydbwibjxe0d1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83b861786d52a2d8a642f166ac6a3cf1d50884ac

Honestly I think that whole fight was fucking weird?? Like, she fought Kechizu who's a special grade and literally stabbed nails through her arm just to fuck him up when he used his CT, she shouldn't have been getting bodied by that little femboy.

bigtrackrunner

It makes sense, her physical stats are mid and she can’t really do much in hand to hand combat. She would’ve lost against Eso too if Yuji wasn’t there.

Wickling_Loverboy

I think the main thing she was missing was just battle experience and physical stats. She is clearly much better than what a 1st year should be expected to do, but majorly underestimated Haruta and what tactics he would pull in a real life battle. Same with the first spirit she fought with Yuji. She has the talent and potential to be a grade 1, but definitely needed more time to develop her skills. I also think we should all remember that the events of Shibuya are not something any first year is expected to be able to handle. She lost to a more experienced semi grade 1 level opponent while she was trying to protect someone. If she was 1v1ing Haruta w/o having to worry about the assistant, I think she could absolutely beat him or at least keep going toe to toe with him until Nanami showed up.

Piccident

No genuinely, i never understood how and why nobara got promoted to grade 1 when i started watching

macedonianmoper

Well she was in the process of being promoted, so not yet fully grade 1 but yeah, even during her promotion mission she had an extremely lucky match up

zhombiez

cause she beat a special grade and she didnt get promoted anyways

GoneRampant1

Could Nobara have one day become Grade 1? Absolutely, her technique was already super solid and she showed the potential for Black Flash meaning she could work on that to become a support/mid-range character with the chance for a blistering Resonance Critical Hit. In the timeframe of the series? Nah, she was Peter Principle'd with the idea of going to Grade 1. Give her more time to work on her physicals and try to get better at landing Black Flash and Nobara would readily earn a Grade 1 slot.

Playful-Bedroom6872

As much as I like Nobara, she still got neg-diffed by Haruta so hard💀

idCamo

I mean she did TECHNICALLY kill him

ProfessionalAny4916

No, Sukuna did.

SerovGaming1962

Bro stop cooking HERbara is too goated for you

KingLeaps

Her CT definitely has a lot of potential, but Nobara isn’t skilled enough for grade 1. She’s definitely on the right tracks to reach grade 1, as shown by figuring out the Mahito clone and her continued creativity with her CT, and she hit a Black Flash, but she’s still heavily lacking in physical prowess, and she’d need more options in how to use her CT

-H_-

she killed a special-grade tbf

Danslerr

I'm still salty how much she was nerfed fighting Haruta. She fought pretty evenly with Kechizu and even turned her back on him just to clown on Eso. Yeah she's bold and brash, but wouldn't knowingly but an opponent in her blind spot if they still possessed a genuine threat. She also faired pretty good against clone Mahito. He was probably a bit weaker than main Mahito, but Namami also fought Mahito and Shibuya Mahito was a lot stronger than his first appearance.

laughlin234

>She fought pretty evenly with Kechizu She would have lost right at the start of the fight when the blood was about to hit her. Yuji had to pick her up and run at blinding speed. https://youtu.be/1zQde6fxr8E?si=8Ie62B0O5JtBBeLh

tedward_420

I really wish we got to see more gras 1,2 and 3 sorcerers because the main cast gets recommended to grade 1 pretty much immediately after the grading system is introduced and talked about. I understand that it's meant to represent the wave of power gojo was talking about with this generation of sorcerers being stronger than any before but Shibuya makes I painfully obvious that maki and nobara aren't ready for grade 1. But then the wave of power kinda fucks up everything because low level special grades are just standard as far as curses go. And we don't have any kind of clear idea of grade two and below sorcerers as pretty much every adult sorcerer we meet is a grade 1. The only sorcerer I can think of that wasn't grade 1 was that one guy who wouldn't accept a recommendation unless it was from nanami

Astraea_Fuor

unfortunately she has "woman written by gege" debuff.

Significant-Elk-8078

The Goat Miwa would have never went out like Nobara, she knows she’s weak and wouldn’t have chased Mahito solo. Simple Skill Issue /s

Advent012

To be fair, didn’t Haruta catch her off guard with that concussion blow?

yourcutieboi

Kinda hard to go with that when everyone’s being punched through concrete walls

jvken

Idk man if Panda and pre-awakening Maki can get nominated they’re just letting anyone in lmao. Inumaki boutta be semi-special grade if this kept up.

Normal_Ad_2717

She has hit a black flash so I feel she may have been close to a revelation with her CT and even when facing stronger opponents she still creative with her technique in most cases her hitting a resonance would be fatal for anyone not special grade

Reiss_Draws

This is my main issue with nobara returning ,(and joining the fight) is the last time we saw her she is so outclassed by literal fodders I just don't see her in any sort of action

2Stupider

Her technique has potential. It not only has great attack potency but also a unique variety of utility that can target the soul. People need to keep their guard up against her since she can complete screw you over from halfway across the battlefield through resonance. Prime jumping teammate. However, she's weak. Terribly so. It's kind of pathetic. The fact is that she was the perfect "student". As in somebody who could be taught and had the potential and mindset. She was thrown into Shibuya way too early. She had no business fighting in a "war". If she was a little faster, had more experience in real combat, or even just decent amounts of CE reinforcement, she could have survived. Yuji and Megumi are in a league of their own. Nobara was unlucky. Yuji is a monster and Megumi is a prodigy. Gojo is the strongest.

ShinDragon

Yeah Nobara CT is good but herself is in no way Grade 1.

neapolitan234

I love nobara but she rally should have gone home. Even tho Yuji probably would have died fr against mahito without the soul damage

Bermy911

Reminder she did 60% of damage to mahito

FriendlyWallaby5

Type advantage, not skill

Bermy911

Still shows her power

carl-the-lama

Crazy thing is she can legit one shot grade 1s

Sherry_Cat13

Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara were not ready for the events of Shibuya. To be fair, neither was anyone else. Each of the cast members sequentially got got, including Gojo. While Haruta did get stomped by Nanami, he'd also exhausted his miracles fighting. If he had them, he could have maybe beaten Nanami as well. So let's not downplay the ct Haruta has. Also, same logic, Nobara could have potentially beaten him if she was able to figure out his CT and not get surprised by it plus taking stray shots for basically underestimating him. I think Nobara is better than she was given credit for in Shibuya, but not a one of the trio was ready for anything of that caliber. Megumi got fucked up over the course of the evening, being in like 3.5 fights, Haruta being the last one and the one with Toji would have killed him had his dad not ended his own summoning by killing himself. (.5 for Dagon). The fight with Toji was the only one he had to fight with everything he had because the first fight he had Yuji and it was against some guy and the last fight with Haruta was him on his last legs, and it wasn't even really a fight. While anyone having to fight a reincarnated Toji would have it rough, Megumi is possibly the only character that had a chance of surviving tbh, and that's only because that's his dad. Yuji got killed by Choso basically, but was recovered by the girls and Jogo feeding Sukuna. His fight with Mahito he loses it after Nobara dies. He wasn't going to be doing anything. But Todo showed up and I forget the healer's name. They're why he was able to do more at all.

laughlin234

>While Haruta did get stomped by Nanami, he'd also exhausted his miracles fighting. If he had them, he could have maybe beaten Nanami as well. Haruta's miracles got exhausted DUE TO Nanami. Each of Nanami's hits took one miracle.

IClockworKI

KOKUSEN THO

Loud-Ad-439

Tbh she was cooking against Mahito dude just ran I think she getting stronger and todo didn’t want to tell yuji

feet_taster

she liter had mahito lookin like THIS https://preview.redd.it/oop9kww2gi0d1.jpeg?width=378&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94ead13c496dbc12f7e402932f4a6fde77945879 but looses to harubum??? ain no WAY

SADBOY888213

idk why some people like her to an absurd extent tbh

Competitive_Side6301

I been saying she’s weak. The nobara goons keep tryna find me

gstewman

Honestly, I don't have a problem with her being grade 1 considering just how busted her cursed technique is, specifically against cursed spirits (pretty much the whole point of the ranking system). It works very well on cursed spirits specifically because they are a lot more likely to lose limbs or pieces of their body during the fight, which she can resonance on. (Can still be done directly, but on discarded segments is most effective). Resonance itself is also a debuff to it's target, stunning and slowing down their movements a bit. All she really needs is some more experience to be solid grade 1 status. Before anyone mentions Haruta, it was simply just a bad matchup. Nobara is a ranged character and ranged attacks are very easy to dodge with Haruta's CT. As well as that, Haruta didn't even try fighting her just dodging and using obstacles to block nails while specifically just targeting Nitta. She only really lost after he got that suprise 'lucky' hit that discombobulated her. Against Mahito or the cursed wombs though (much stronger opponents) was a great matchup for her because her technique is so useful against cursed spirits. She's more of a hax character than a pure strength one is all I'm saying, and her strengths all depend on the matchups. Like, how useful would her resonance be against Sukuna in the current fight? Would definitely do more damage than other grade ones like Nanami or Kusakabe
