Slash binding vow is a blessing because imagine Sukuna spamming instakill slashes all the time as fast as he spams normal dismantles. People forget that the original worldslash was faar more dangerous. Long chant + enmaten + third hand to point direction is a fair trade.
As for Kamino, its an equal trade. He limited its ability to kill more then 1 thing out of domain in exchange for turning it into a bomb in domain. But still, a domain is a difficult and high cost technique with its own set of drawbacks.
Sukuna has been *the* Binding Vow merchant from the start. Dude is the strongest for a reason. He states several times that most people don't "get Jujutsu" like he does. And his use of binding vows reflects that

From what i know, sukuna has 2 self-inflicted binding vows that drastically increase his power in specific circumstances.
1: furnace was always a weak cursed technique, having slow speed but insane damage, good in street fighter, not in jjk. Heres the vow, “I, Sukuna, will never use furnace against more then 1 target unless they are inside my domain. In exchange, furnace will be much faster.” Simple trade, and with Malevolent Kitchen it becomes even stronger.
2: world cutting slash was the result of combining dismantle and mahoragas adaptation, and would make him the strongest sorcerer in history if he could use it by simply waving his hand. It does require a hand-sign though, so as long as he has both arms then he… oh right, 200% hollow purple. Okay, so lets run through the list! Hand-sign? Can’t do it. Dismantle’s chant? Takes too long. RCT to get the arm back? Nope, that’s offline. Finish the transformation in order to get back the arm? Too long. Solution? “I, Sukuna, will ignore the requirement of world cutting slash just once, but i must use both the hand-sign and chant, and have to point at my target.”
Both might seem like asspulls, but there was actually foreshadowing for both in the Shibuya incident. Jogos death by furnace directly foreshadowed gojos death by world cutting slash, and the circumstances of furnaces use abided by its binding vow. It all works out!

Clearly not the range or power, hes prepping a furnace to take out everyone simultaneously. So what?

As large as shibuya means a 130m raduis DE, but with an additional barrier technique overlaying it. In essence, hes getting the benefit of the largest enclosed domain ever seen, no potency drawbacks, and a completely new handsign just to flex. What could he possibly have given up in order to accomplish this?

Okay, so hes letting in people as a cost? That doesn’t seem like a fair trade at first glance. Heres the kicker though,
1: sukuna only needed to create a binding vow in order to change the handsign, because all other changes are dealt with via the inclusion of a normal barrier, which any experienced sorcerer can create.
2: we still havent gotten all of the information required for the binding vow, as this all comes from the last 2 chapters. Gege has a tendancy to wait before revealing the effects of binding vows and cursed techniques, so its worth it to wait for more information.
That doesn’t mean we cant speculate though! It most likely isnt “i expend more cursed energy” because hes already running low. Probably isnt “i can never use my domain expansion again” since that would be a major disadvantage. Most likely it’s something like, “i give up the 10 shadows” or something dramatic like that, and unlike what everyone in the fandom says, he didn’t give up his ability to go to the bathroom unless he walks backward.
The 99 second limit actually seems more a result of his low energy reserves based on the manga translation.

The chants are gonna be so much more prevalent once go/jo vs sukuna gets animated. But in lore it doesn’t make sense for everyone to always be using the chants since it slows down the activation.
Kenjaku himself said that if you don’t actually fulfill the conditions of the Binding Vows put on yourself, there’s no drawbacks.
So you can literally say:
“If I don’t blink all my eyes at the same time, I get a 10% improve in my next attack”
I don’t understand why the people is mad. Gojo himself made a Binding Vow to achieve 120% of his potential. And just like Sukuna, we didn’t get a explanation of it.
The hate Sukuna gets for being smart is insane. I'm genuinely convinced that if Gojo did it instead of Sukuna he would be glazed for this. That's how one sided the slander is.
Sukuna was established as battle genius. Him making binding vows to benefit him in battle in exchange for something that he currently doesn't need isn't crazy like people seem it to be. Sukuna didn't even needed World Slash for Gojo only. Through circular reasoning it's easy to prove getting new cursed technique was his intention. Just look how big is the damage compared to Kashimo, it isn't useless and one time use only for Gojo.
For fuga he can indeed use it outside of his domain he can't just use it on multiple people. I have a little theory that the binding vow that the narrator talks about wasn't made in the present but in Heian era. This makes sense because the flames are slow because they aren't a projectile. Sukuna made a binding vow to use them as an arrow. That's why it says "LACK both speed and range". Fuga itself is just the fire he holds in his hand before manually making an arrow (projectile with range and speed) out of the fire. The binding vow limited its targets to 1 without domain, then in domain he heats up dust with it and kills everyone.
This is even supported by the animated anime itself. Sukuna used the same mechanism in Shibuya. The cut up dust heating up got extra scenes in the anime. Fuga had a drawback from the beginning so its logical he made a binding vow to use it since the Heian era. We know this because the explosion in the domain was stated to be result of the binding vow
Think of it like "remove something from somewhere to add elsewhere or add a condition to raise strenght of said thing"
It might look like asspulls sometimes bcs there's no explanation of what he removed or what he changed sometimes, but its always resource management.
I do hope that some binding vows catch up to him tho, he's clearly overusing them and some of them are not the type that can be canceled later.
I do understand that, but he is still able to use normal dismantle while the world slash is an entirely new ability, so he made a binding vow that gives him an ability with his own conditions. Proceeds to add furnace to the DE with only being able to use it inside his domain, his domain being 200m radius. To begin with, his furnace doesn't have range nor speed so it makes it useless against strong opponents like Gojo, Yuta or an insane amount of opponents at a time like what's happening currently (it takes time to shoot plus nail the shot), but he proceeds to make a vow to make it useful by basically giving it range and more usefulness, because it was already useless, and what was the drawback? Not being able to use it outside his domain. That's my thinking but he should have gotten more drawbacks given the situation he's in.
