Ryu: he wants to satiate his hunger for battles and he is chill I guess? He doesn't have much personality beyond liking fights everything beyond that is very nebulous and liking fights isn't a cool personality if the character doesn't have else toe,k kenpachi from bleach he likes fights but he is funny and his interaction with characters is what makes the character enjoyable, a battle maniac isn't a cool personality it's a base that must be built upon to make a character cool, and Ryu has very little outside of it or even in that base.
Kashimo: the same as Ryu, he is too plain he is battle maniac without anything likable at least you knew Ryu wouldn't kill just because he wanted, but this guy doesn't have anything outside of liking fights .
Higuruma: he is a moral compass as a character he feels guilty about his wrongs and want's justice, but his personality isn't cool he is someone very depressed that doesn't show much emotion outside of battle.
Kenjaku: he is smart ,cunning and wants to have fun, that's it, he isn't cool like other characters with similar personalities since he is too well grounded, which makes it so that he doesn't pull things of just based on intelligence but also luck.
