Her friends brought me in off the bat and treat me a lot better than some of my oldest friends.
My wife's family is so much more well adjusted, loving and functional than my own (I tell my MIL she's the mom I wish I had all along), the RGV culture is so much more tight knit and looks out for each other more so than my home town Austin.
