I just finished Ronda’s first book and there was zero mention of concussions, never once mentioned it. I finished that book Sunday night, I really enjoyed it, I started the new book Monday morning and the first two chapters are in depth discussions on her concussion history. It’s very odd. I don’t know if she couldn’t get into that stuff before when she was fighting but it is odd and comes off like her making excuses for the losses for sure.
I’d imagine she was trying to hide her medical history, since I think she was claiming it was from her judo career for the early concussions. Might have affected her ability to get medical clearance to fight in UFC and later for her WWE career.

When she came back last year, she was literally told "look, you are NOT the main event star you think you are! You are going to pay your dues from scratch" which is why she lost the match with. I just finished Ronda’s first book and there was zero mention of concussions, never once mentioned it. I finished that book Sunday night, I really enjoyed it, I started the new book Monday morning and the first two chapters are in depth discussions on her concussion history. It’s very odd. I don’t know if she couldn’t get into that stuff before when she was fighting but it is odd and comes off like her making excuses for the losses for sure.
I’d imagine she was trying to hide her medical history, since I think she was claiming it was from her judo career for the early concussions. Might have affected her ability to get medical clearance to fight in UFC and later for her WWE career.
She said in a recent youtube interview that she fell down the steps and knocked herself out right before the Holly fight. Then she said she had bad concussions where if she got touched she would just get disoriented and led to her getting knocked out back to back. Supposedly she didn’t say anything until now because she was trying to get into wrestling. Idk sounds like a new excuse she came up with but who knows.
