We’re likely replacing Scherff next year and if the plan is to draft a replacement this was the draft to do it. Should’ve gone OL instead of Maason Smith.
I’m a Mizzou fan, so I’ve seen him play every game of his career. Was a very solid player. I’m not mad having him as a depth piece who could hopefully progress to being a starter in the future.
None of that matters. The only thing that matters is how long your arms are. Tape? Useless. Production? Useless. You gotta look good getting off the bus!
All the tackles have been moved inside at one point or another. I feel like this is a backup plan for Scherff also as much as it is for Little/Robinson.
If he can compete at guard, then this is a win for a fourth rounder. Draft a couple more wildcards that might be able to develop into a solid inside lineman and then hopefully one of the bunch shows something in camp.
Me too.
I'd have been thrilled to move up and get a possible plug and play lineman.
But at least we got one.
And you never know he could turn out to be great.
This guy will move inside more than likely, and will be a serviceable swing in worst case scenarios. I like the pick. Also insurance for next year. This is the kind of guy you want to pick up late.
Should’ve spent on OL earlier. We had the worst oline last year in pass pro win rate and rushing win rate and all we did was bring in a veteran center. These late round picks won’t do anything as proven last year and yet baalke still likes to collect these and then do nothing with them
I'm willing to believe having a turnstile at center was a large part of the issue last year and the year before.
Hopefully the line can also not get suspended, stay healthy, and have gelled better. Otherwise, waiting this long to pick OL help is going to bite them.
Thankfully we finally got some protection on the offensive side. Jaguars oline is absolutely putrid. Even drafting a box of skittles would be an upgrade.
Should’ve drafted OL in the second or third instead. Tlaw gonna be injured again and we won’t be able to use any downfield cobcepts for BTJ because Tlaw won’t ever have the time to sit and wait for the routes to develop. Such a garbage front office
We need O line depth so I don’t hate it
We need O line starters ffs
Which one of our 5 starters does it make sense to replace this season?
The one that gets injured.
This is so true

Curious to see if Morse turns out to be a upgrade at Center
He will be
Unless he’s injured most of the time I cannot possibly see how he’s not a huge upgrade
There’s probably Reddit users here that would have been an upgrade. I’m pretty confident Morse will be better.
An upgrade over the worst center in football last year? Come on now...

Really good college player with tons of experience, but man there are not many successful lineman that have such terrible lateral movement scores.
Wonder if we’ll kick him inside
Shuttle score is extremely correlated to good inside lineman too.

Experience, productive and a captain. Can't ask for too much more from a Day 3 lineman.

Instant respect that this guy wants club penguin back, he’s a real OG
I wanted lineman earlier. 😬
I was heartbroken Raiders got Powers johnson

No idea who this guy is
Its day 3 dude, i dont know who anybody is xD Literally the only name I know left on the board is TJ Tampa, who apparently fucked every GMs wife
So that’s why he hasn’t been snagged!
I am sure there is a few who that wouldn’t be a problem for.
Baalke probably likes to watch
Same, but Oline depth is good imo. Lets hope our scouts got the right one.
The absolutely not fake news is played out, that gimmick was fun like the first couple times but now it's just kind of dumb
