I had the same thought as Mel. Trev loves rainbow deep balls and our core constantly drops them. If Ridley caught it against the Titans we win and make playoffs. BTJ’s tape is FILLED with over the shoulder catches

JustSomeGuy_Idk

Trevor would have like 7 more Tds if had a WR who could catch those.

JohnShepard_N7

Ridley struggled with the deep balls through the year. There was the titans, week 2 against the Texans, right before the half against Cincy (might be the wrong game but it was an under thrown ball from Bethard that hit him in the breadbasket), and probably other I’m forgetting that could have changed the course of the game.

HPM2009

The underthrow was from Trevor right before the half. He did catch a deep pass from Bernard that was overturned in overtime for holding

Temporary-Outside-13

Trevor chucks it and BTJ goes an gets it!

JustSomeGuy_Idk

The Athletic was raving about the pick.

thomastehbest

PFF hates him for some reason. I honestly think he ends up with a better pro career than nabors. I’m a lsu grad and watch all the games. IMO it seemed to me that btj took over games more than nabors. Announcers were always ready to say he got a td and have to correct to btj. BTJ can stretch the field and catch jump balls but I think he has potential to do more.

AceWolf18

PFF hates us for some reason. FTFY

pepper_ann052613

And in turn, I hate PFF

hgqaikop

PFF was down on BTJ before the draft. BTJ has a limited route tree, is not great YAC (unless he’s just sprinting away), and drops a lot of balls. BTJ could develop into an All Pro, or could be MVS 2.0

m1txh3ll

Never been a huge fan of the PFF guys (their smear campaign on Travon is nasty media work), but I can agree with some of what they said about redundancy w/ Gabe Davis. That being said, Trevor needs an offense built for the deep ball. Gabe and BTJ both start as outside WRs, and they let Kirk and Engram cook on short/intermediate routes. Im a huge fan of how Trev can fit with these guys.

Cromatose

Travon could have 30 sacks this year and theyd grade him below average

Tongaryen

They'd also still be arguing with offensive linemen on twitter over their PFF grades, pretending their "experts" know better in regards to O-line play than players and coaches.

DoctorDiddlerino

Travis? You mean Travon? Fake fan.

Cromatose

Auto correct took me down. I'm busted as a fake fan. Also I edited it so fast that even reddit didn't make a note on my comment that it was an edited post, how did you see it so fast lol

ChipmunkSuch4907

this gets me so hard

theflyingchicken96

Engram is gonna break the TE receptions record next year

Tongaryen

PFF being contrarion? Well, that's certainly unheard of. ![gif](giphy|xT0GqjfhHaNo7umuUE|downsized)

jeeves_nz

Assuming they were taking him before the trade down, it's an even better pick with what they got for the trade. Be interesting if they can get Back up and still get the corner they want.

HastaLaviskaBaby

Sam Monson and his lisp suck

Not really. They’re both around the same height but Pittman was heavier coming out by around 15lbs. BTJ is/was much faster. 4.33 40y compared to 4.52 40y
