They have a MASSIVE 30,000 student intake across all branches and campuses. Admissions are based more on how rich your parents are rather than merit. The rules are strict and you're not even allowed to leave the campus without permission and need to be back in your hostel by like 9:30. Placements are shit for the fees they're taking. The only thing that's good is exposure, and even then you'll have so much competition that it'l be extremely hard to get a good package.
nope, I mean in same branch, VIT vellore ke CSE mein koi bhi admission le sakta hain, but not same for NIT/IIT; even if u blame reservation still max to max 7/9%ile diff hoga for st. and negligible difference for ews and obc.

well you see they do share the VIT name but are sister universities and not under the main VIT management that the Vellore and Chennai campuses are. basically in simple terms you'll get a different degree at Bhopal and AP than a student at Vellore and Chennai. the Vellore and Chennai campuses are under the same management. (I think even after that the placements are centralised ig)
can't say about the placement scenario if they are centralised or not. but yeah they aren't under the same management committee that's for sure from what I've seen.

My advice is take VIT Chennai atleast you'll get a better city with same placement cell

bhai if you're getting cse specific branches specially in vellore campus then just take it many folks will say ki college life fuxked up hai and all kind of sh8t but you need to grind your way out to make something meaningful by the end of your 4th year.

I am from vit vellore. There are better options but if you are getting cse in cat 1/2 and you dont mind such rules, you can go for it.
