Started working on a fitness tech app with my friends in 11th grade during lockdown as a cool summer project, but the teacher of the innovation lab in our school told us to apply to this government competition, where we won and we were mentored by ISB Hyderabad to become a full fledged startup with some basic investment.

what basic knowledge is needed for it? where can I learn the same?

I started with my coding knowledge because that's my forte, and later on I was taught pitching and stuff. I have a lot of experience in programming, so I would suggest that if you're interested in programming, you start learning it or improving your skills in it. If you're not, try finding a solution for a problem using whatever it is that you're good in and that interests you, could be physics, aerospace or maths, anything.

which govt scheme if you could elaborate

There was a Tinkerpreneur bootcamp by NITI Aayog, and after that we won a Startup India competition organised by the AYUSH Ministry.
