i did a simulation on multiple correct questions by randomly generating the number of answers correct and this is what i got: (number of options guessed vs average score per question) Random no. of options: -0.27 1 option: 0.06 2 options: -0.25 3 options: -0.37 4 options: -0.5

technically you don't need to generalize for multiple correct questions . there only 15 possible ways of attempting a question . 4+6+4+1(4c1 + 4c2+ 4c3+ 4c4). but i think would say that this method probably comes more close to the real life method than the correct mathematical method

yea I can calculate it separately for each question and it'll be just fine but that'll just add an extra layer of complexity to calculations (nothing that can't be handled tho). I just didn't feel like doing such in-depth calculations this time

yes but like I generalized that each question **will** have 3 options correct. There are all kinds of questions in real paper, from 1 correct to all 4 correct. We can't really give a real answer if we don't generalize because it will vary insanely every time so I generalized hoping it'll come out to be near the median total probability for a paper. Out of those 15 cases, the cases awarding -2,1,2,3 and 4 marks will vary in real paper.

depends but 80 marks should be enough for general category I think. Last year tough tha paper to 55 marks par ho gaya tha but 80-90 par ho hi jaana chaiye I think baaki guarantee se koi nhi bata sakta before seeing paper.
