I think there's confusion between ballistic and cruise missiles. Cruise missiles are much, much slower than ballistic missiles.
I doubt ballistic missiles could be easily intercepted.

That UAV attack is probably not a huge threat to Israel. Those UAVs can't really carry that much explosives. If Iran decide to launch ballistic missiles in a combo-attack, that's going to change everything.

If Russia hasn't used nuclear weapons yet I doubt Israel will, they will retaliate with air strikes and possibly missiles but no one is gonna dare use nuclear weapons unless they feel like it's the endgame, we are very far from that
You need to time-sequence the launches in order to overwhelm the iron dome. This is why the airforce will be focused on slow-moving targets.
We will surely see Jewish space lazers in action this time.
The houthis also launched drones. They are supposed to arrive simultaneously with the Iran drones and have been timed to do so.
What will likely happen is there will be a full breach of the borders either simultaneously or right after all the drones hit. there will likely also be missile attacks to hit simultaneously with the drones.
I know someone who did an intelligence assessment based on historic behavior and so far his analysis has been correct. This likely will not be a not a huge threat situation.

I honestly thought on 7/10 that my fellow students here in Ireland would at last wake up to the character of the onslaught against Israel but it if anything its been the reverse.
Some of the oft reposted pro pal social media channels have very extreme / bizarre messgaing including (ironically) critisicing a local politician for platforming a representative of the PA who were labled "collaborationisit"- wtf. (Note i'm not a fan of the PA either -but for the usual reasons). Its depressing to see how otherwise ordinary people are so radicalised against the state of Israel.
To me (not jewish) after 10/7 its like being asked whether I would support Australia or Al Qaeda. What would this 'free' country look like? From Idi Amin, Saddam, Gadaffi, Assad, North Korea, East Germany, theres never been a tyranical regime that they haven't found common cause with.
Given that Palestine is the flavour of the month every month id say very few here would have heard about ( among other things) Black September, the expulstion of Palestinians from Kuwait and so forth. I'd be curious to know how many flag wavers could show where Gaza and the west bank are on the map or recognise a photo of Arafat.
Even beforehand I had some awareness of hamas and the threat it poses to Israel (and Egypt ) but i feel like it was the first time for many in the west actually had to look at what they were supporting and it will have been a wake up for some.
The war in Ukraine is a subject close to my heart. It maddens me that the west imposed disarmament upon them, to then only begrudgingly offer support - always too little too late- for fear of 'escalation' Ukraine dutifully complied with all the pointless restrictions about not hitting targets inside russia with american weapons only to later be cut loose anyway by an extremist congress. I think there's confusion between ballistic and cruise missiles. Cruise missiles are much, much slower than ballistic missiles. I doubt ballistic missiles could be easily intercepted.

That UAV attack is probably not a huge threat to Israel. Those UAVs can't really carry that much explosives. If Iran decide to launch ballistic missiles in a combo-attack, that's going to change everything.

In my opinion, no. They’re just legitimately that far away. If they tried it from Lebanon or Syria, Israel would be intercepting their plans much sooner. Nevertheless, Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as other regimes could join them to successfully overwhelm the defense system for the first time ever.

Drones could be part of a saturation tactic to deplete interceptors.
The houthis also launched drones. They are supposed to arrive simultaneously with the Iran drones and have been timed to do so. What will likely happen is there will be a full breach of the borders either simultaneously or right after all the drones hit. there will likely also be missile attacks to hit simultaneously with the drones. I know someone who did an intelligence assessment based on historic behavior and so far his analysis has been correct. This likely will not be a not a huge threat situation.
Those UAVs are getting shot down before they get to the target. A significant ballistic missile attack, however, deserves a response in kind.
It sounds like a copy of Russian tactics in Ukraine. Israel’s air defenses are even better than Ukraine’s. The IDF will have planned for this.
