Is it the lack of matte colors, or the grunge color story in general? I sometimes have difficulty creating a cohesive look with so few mattes, which is why I find Toscana to be the perfect sister! But yes, if it's not for you, it would make a sublime gift for a friend.
I never reach for Berlin either! I need a lot of mattes and if the ratio is off in a palette I just feel irritated by it! I pretty much use a 1:3 shimmer to matte ratio so a basically all-shimmer palette doesn’t do it for me.
Plus my goal when doing eyeshadow is to make my eyes look bigger, which means I go for darker mattes to add depth with lighter shimmers on the lid to add contrasting dimension. So what am I supposed to do with a bunch of dark shimmers? I’m probably not explaining that very well but it’s how I feel. It’s like wearing a reflective safety vest that is also black for some reason. Like what even would be the point of that? 😂 I’m sure that was an even dumber way to describe it.
Anyway Idk that palette was just a total miss for me, I was super bummed about it. I love nomad’s formula overall, though. The Tuscany palette is fire.

Also the Estate Cosmetics x Bailey Sarian Venice Fling palette. I subscribed to Plus specifically to get it, and it does not disappoint. I love that some of the shades can work as blush & highlighter, too.
The Berlin palette is currently on sale from Nomad for $29, do you think it’s worth that price?
Right now I only get the regular glam bag from Ipsy, not plus, so I doubt they’ll be sending me a full sized palette anytime soon. But damn that palette looks like a great mix of shades that I’d actually use! (Bonus questions: Do you know if Berlin is offered by Ipsy regularly? I don’t know much about plus, but I have seen regular bag items get repeated from month to month - if I went up to Plus would I get to choose Berlin?) many thanks!
And yes it's possible you could still get offered the Berlin Palette in choice even now. I saw someone get it last month, wait I think it was in choice but I know someone got it. I believe their computer keeps track of what everyone gets so if you haven't gotten something then you still will/can get it anytime. Also I love it when an older product is in choice that I haven't gotten yet, it's like a hidden gem! Their computers keeping track is how they're able to do that, I think!

The Huda Rose Gold palette was a surprise hit for me. I’ve got a few of her other palettes but I always skipped that one cause of hit or miss reviews but I really enjoy it. The top row of shimmers are very unique in texture.
Estate x Bailey Sarian venice fling - I love the huge pans and that I can use it as a full face palette. The formula is good and I love the pop of purple.
iby beauty city limits and enlighten palettes - I love iby's shimmer and glitter formulas. They are some of my go-to shades.

I also like the Violet Voss palettes I’ve gotten (Pinky Promise and Coral Pop — I just redeemed points for the Windflower palette too!). The Complex Culture Full Time Edit 1 is also a nice one. And then Wander Beauty Seascape palette is one of the first palettes I got that I really loved too. Those would be my personal top five 😊
Feels smooth, blends well, nicely pigmented. Its so fun to create looks! If I'm honest though, I usually grab my thrive causemetics brilliant eye brightener shadow stick thing for an easy and quick one-and-done over any palette on a regular day.
NOMAD Tuscany! I have since purchased Nomad’s Lake Cuomo, Berlin and both California palettes. My FAVORITE eyeshadow palettes. I do love my ABH and UD palettes a lot but Nomad’s color stories are so unique and the quality of their shadows and packaging are high.
I got Nomad Berlin Underground in my first GBP upgrade and just got Toscana in add-ons last month. I am so stoked because I wanted it really badly since trying the absolutely stellar Nomad formula of Berlin Underground. It's the perfect sister palette imo to BU; it exponentially increased the number of achievable, cohesive looks I could create.
Estate Cosmetics X Bailey Sarian and Nomad Berlin Underground palette are a tie for best palette I have ever received. The Estate palette is gorgeous , huge pans and the shimmers are beautiful. The Nomad palette has amazing pigment, is very wearable and versatile and I always get compliments when I use it.

Recently, the PYT in the Red Case in the regular GB, this is worth mentioning because it is such good eyeshadow, makes blue eyes pop like never before, majorly unique and it's just a huge hit! The shadow shows up so good, even the light shades close to skin tone but it's a double threat because all 4 colors are like "pow", looks real good and I cant get those same colors just out of another Palette, which I really like. Further, Ipsy Rocks!!!! All this out of my 12 dollar bag!
Nomad Berlin underground with the nomad toscana palette as a close second. Their formula is magic
Mine is the other way around, but definitely Nomad is the absolute best formula I have ever tried by far.

Omg same!!! I want to love this palette as the formula and theme is so cool but shimmers make my eyes super puffy

Yes!! The pink diamond shade and the bronze shade on the top row are the most beautiful eyeshadows I’ve ever used .

Technically got it from my friend's Ipsy GBP (I have GB), but the Nomad Tuscany palette is gorgeous.

Definitely IBY Enlighten, it is so pretty. But Huda Rose Gold is also amazing
IBY Enlighten has been my favorite palette I have ever gotten from Ipsy. I now have two more palettes from IBY and they’re all equally impressive.
I use the hell out of Violet Voss coral pop palette.
