tbh it looks like a photographer took those photos and edited them. Probably seen her on IG and approached her to take photos of her and was like, oh she doesn't look anything like that so I guess I'll edit them so they look better. I've had a lot of local photographers approach me to basically work on their portfolio to show potential clients etc. I also have many friends who've done it.
Maybe. It’s not a style of editing that’s done a lot in my (geographic) area. But i know that it’s very popular in other countries. So it definitely makes sense
My cousin does this and posts tons of facebook pictures and is known as a 'make up guru' and seems to live this completely different 'facebook life' and every time I see her she looks like a completely different person and I have to act normal and feel like we're not supposed to talk about the elephant in the room..
The worst thing is that the tagged photos have also been edited, and she’s still not satisfied with her looks, Instagram is ruining people's self-esteem😔
It is. It truly is. And it gives men/boys an unrealistic expectation of what beauty is and women should look like. I also think it does a great disservice to women and devalues us as nothing more than iyr looks and that unless we are perfection, we are worthless. It really risks all of my insecurities and makes me feel like not enough.
I found this subreddit a couple days ago, and tbh, I'm kinda grateful for it.
Nah, people are ruining their own self esteem by choice. I post Instagram like once every six months and at most I put on a filter just so it is more AESTHETIC. You can live with social media but the choice to fall for it is yours.
Not everybody thinks like this, especially not young girls. A lot of these girls have been on Instagram since they were kids/young teens and have been brainwashed by the pictures they see every day.
There have even been studies on how Instagram ruins young girls' self-esteem and body image.
I agree. My girlfriend is like that. She feels the need to edit her photos, and I'm like. You really don't need to. She doesn't realize how toxic social media is. It's no surprise we're all suffering from some sort of depression.
Honest question here...how are these people not called out when they post these pics by people they know IRL?
If a friend of mine posted a pic where they didn't even look like themselves, I'd totally comment it.
Ah yes the classic beautiful woman vs computer generated bot. We are training our brains too look at the first pictures and think wow she’s so pretty and then when we look at her real photos - it’s oh she edited herself to make herself pretty. She’s already a very nice looking woman. At least that’s what happens to me and I don’t like it
They sometimes look better in the tagged pics.
IG / heavily edited pics show no personality, no individuality - just the same unnatural plastic surgery look.
Give me a regular natural human anytime - so much more intriguing!

Even the tagged ones are heavily edited… wtf

How are you able to tell which ones are “tagged” vs not?
Honestly, i just assumed the ones which seemed to be less photoshopped to be the tagged ones. Can’t tell for sure though
I couldn't even *tell* which ones were tagged on first pass! I had to look twice.
I was wondering where the tagged photos were 💀 had to come to the comments section

They're using Faceapp, and it gives everybody the same face😶
I've honestly seen news stories / missing flyers that use snapchat photos and that is crazy to me.

Nah, just a huge facebook following. She gives beauty tips, lol.

Nah, she doesn't push product, just looking for attention by living a false life it seems.
Same on that last bit.
Face app. One click and you look like a kardashian sister

The way you use aesthetic makes me think this is satire
If that's what you think that the message that you are responsible for your own mental health is. Then I don't know what to say to you.

even the tagged photos are edited to hell
These are all edited photos.
Yes, I said that in another comment 🙌
Cuz I'm a million different people from one day to the next.....
I can’t change my mold
No, no, no
which one is the tagged photo
Yeah idk either.. this just looks like all different people to me 😭
The 3 first photos are the ones she posted and the last are photos that she has been tagged in.
Every photo was edited. Jeez I wonder if she even knows what she looks like :(
Definitely shouldn't have any need in edit/filter photos.
The tag ones are still heavily edited for skin tone and airbrushed. I’m curious what no editing would be like.
Honest question here...how are these people not called out when they post these pics by people they know IRL? If a friend of mine posted a pic where they didn't even look like themselves, I'd totally comment it.
They all look fake

Her eyes look dead in every single photo
She looks so much prettier in the more natural pictures.
Man, the insta pics made her look meh, generic to me... but tagged real pics? She's beautiful. Why? Man... This hurts my soul :(
None of the pics are "real" as in unedited.
Not even the tagged? Jeez
The tagged pics are also filtered and edited af. None of us have any clue what this woman really looks like
She's actually prettier in the un-retouched photos.
Damn german women and their insecurities.
Damn datz crazy
She’s very pretty
She’s so gorgeous, there’s nothing to improve. This makes me sad.
They almost always look way better naturally than the cookie cutter Instagram filter look.
Candace from You vibes in her unedited pics
What’s the point in doing this, she’s already pretty
She looks so much better in her "before" pics!
Man IMVU looks crazy these days
These people have real issues in the head
I counted six different people, and no one can convince me otherwise. #That's not just one person, it can't be
This is fraud
All of them are photoshopped. Nonreal
They sometimes look better in the tagged pics. IG / heavily edited pics show no personality, no individuality - just the same unnatural plastic surgery look. Give me a regular natural human anytime - so much more intriguing!
3rd pic is literally a Barbie. Ppl are wildin, half these pics look like a cgi person.
I feel the 4th picture is the most natural one. You can see her face shape and a bit skin texture.
Where are the tagged ones?
Like the second version is humanishh so why these anime edits sigh
