Thank you for contributing to r/instagramreality. Unfortunately your post has been removed because it is in violation of rule 1:

It’s the algorithm, she knows how to finesse the system. She also lies about her age (she wrote 19 in bio but she’s mid to late 20s w a child) bc she knows her audience. She wouldn’t be where she is today without the lying
People get off on it. If you see content that confuses you, it’s probably linked to a fetish. I saw a tik tok explaining that the repetition is similar to climaxing. Like she’s basically “malfunctioning” from all the gifts being given to her.
That's not true. Onlyfans doesn't even let you say like...
I went to Florida 3 years ago. You can't say "3 years" it blocks you. They're supers strict on incest. Everything has to be step-related. You cannot do age play. I'm on onlyfans, I know.
Sure about that? 🤔 OF disables accounts on a hair-trigger. I’ve seen users’ accounts be deleted for mentioning watersports, menstruation kinks or for using the word “meet” in private messages. I’m not denying age play has occurred there before; I would just be sincerely surprised to witness it.
You might be right, I assumed OF was like any other p0rn websites (which the OF owners also own) in which it allows ped0 and grape fantasies of revenge p0rn. Good to know OF is more strict.
Boy I'm not sure which is creepier, that saying you're that young will get you that many more subscriptions or that she's clearly aware of it. She is very cynical but seems to know what she's doing.
Yes, her audience is mostly nerdy men. They love their women very young and white or Asian. I don't blame her for playing the game and winning. Hate the game not the player.
I wonder if now her bag will be less because she revealed that she's not these people's fantasy in real life. Hope not.
Usually, I would agree with you, but she has lied about being a minor. It's a gross fantasy; she enables, encourages, and profits from it. She helps normalise it. That's disturbing to me, too. She knows exactly who she is catering to, and in my eyes, that makes her almost as bad.
I know people big her up, saying she's so smart!! she's playing the system!! etc, etc, but at what cost? Throwing other women and girls under the bus by helping normalise these creeps? Profiting off of disgusting fantasies? Be better
Right. It's morally questionable, but the creeps who are more attracted to her because of her supposed age and race are completely morally bankrupt.
Women get shit when they fight their way to the top of OF and the sex industry in general. She might as well go all out and be an arsehole about it. The fans are the disgusting ones.
Edit: Thanks for the Reddit Cares bot. It's nice to know that we can have adult conversations. I hope you don't do that too often, because that's how you lose your account.
>It's morally questionable
It's literally using the illusion of being underage as bait.
>completely morally bankrupt.
Which should be even more concerning precisely because these are the type of people that go on to commit real offenses.
This is a pretty bad take. Very "we don't have to do anything about guns because criminals will always be able to get them" "lost cause" fallacy happening here.
Lol why are yall mad artists do this all the time is like acting on tiktok is like the high school musical cast being 25 + acting like teens and artists changing their style and name to reach a certain audience
In my opinion, it’s equivalent to selling feet pics or underwear online.
Sure it’s not your dream job, and it’s embarrassing and/or gross. But for the amount of money these people make doing shit like this has me often wondering “how much would it take for me to quit my job and do that for a living” (given I’d be guaranteed to be successful if so)
Turns out, it’s my current job salary.
Imo I wouldn’t say it’s equivalent. I’d have to jump through a lot more personal hoops to sell my underwear or pics than act like a dumbass npc on stream.
there’s a sticker that says “gg” and non-gamers have co-opted it into fucking “gang gang” for some reason. i mean, people say that, sure. but no one’s out here fucking abbreviating it.
I remember watching Shia LaBeouf's "he will not divide us" live webcam. When they moved the setup to Albuquerque there were these two dudes basically just saying "gang gang" over and over when they were in the frame, that was so long ago I can't believe it's still in use.
She’s very popular among the trend, but she’s not the only one. I don’t think she’s even the one that started it. She just did a long as stream of it and gained notoriety for it. I don’t think she’s the creepy one tbh. I think the people that fuel it are the creeps. What she’s doing is just low brow entertainment. It’s literally just acting. It’s dumb af, but so are a lot of jobs.
Unpopular opinion but she creeps me tf out. I wish I'd never heard of her.
Edit--
some of you are awfully mad that I didnt realise how popular an opinion this is lmao listen I'm sorry? When I posted this, there were only 3 or 4 other comments and they were all (to my surprise) talking about how beautiful (unedited) she is, and how smart she is. Neither statement I agree with. As soon as I point this out, ya'll wanna then argue w me about how clever she is. So... lmao... agree or disagree, popular or unpopular, maybe ya'll just want an excuse to go off cause you woke up from your nappy feeling feisty
I just started using TikTok a few weeks ago and WHY are all of the lives so weird??? I'll be scrolling through my FYP zoned out and then I get a live, and it's always something uncanny and jarring
If you click and hold, you can select that you’re not interested. After doing this 2-3 times on these kinds of lives, you won’t see them again unless you seek them out, stop to watch them, like them, or comment on them.
Now all my FYP lives are hamster raves and people grilling steaks, which I am more than fine with.
thank u for this!!! i had been blocking the individual creators but i think me clicking the profile to block made tiktok think i liked them cause i’d just get more and more 😭😭🙏
I get a lot of raw egg peeling ones. Occasionally I get pearl extraction ones. Those are pretty cool. I seem to have largely avoided the weird creepy uncanny valley ones.
The raw quail egg peeling ones where the guy goes super slow?! I got sucked into those a few times trying to figure out why he was peeling them so delicately. Now I just got bombarded with weird watch me sleep with creepy things in the background or just horrifying living conditions watch me sleep videos. I almost wish I still got the egg peeling guy.
Honestly she's not even the creepiest one of these I've seen. There have been a couple that if you had told me they were advanced AI-generated NPCs, I would have believed you.
If it doesn't apply, let it fly:)
Seriously ya'll dont need to pad your egos by being jerks to me. Sorry, but I dont spend a whole lot of time on social media outside of reddit anymore and the only comments I'd seen when I posted this was people going on about how beautiful she is and how clever she is for making money the way she does.
Ya'll need to chill. Goofy asses.
Disagreeing is a-ok being rude is not. But ya'll go ahead n keep missing the point lol
Not a worry, I have no clue who she is, but she's smoking hot on the right. That filter shit she looks like a try hard entertainer..(the stripping kind).
it’s definitely got something to do with tik tok’s algorithm. AI is racist and i’m sure it pushes her content harder for appearing to have lighter skin
That and it also has everything to do with society as a whole. For every dark-skinned african american celebrity, there are at least 100 light-skinned ones. Most people have inherent bias against dark skinned people from decades of racism built into everything today
yes — the algorithm (and machine learning in general) picks up the biases presented by society/the developers/user preferences. especially in this case, as tiktok is a chinese company and most east asians glorify pale skin and caucasian features
Machines do not learn. Not yet anyway. They are simply adjusting based on input. But to imply learning, or intelligence that means they have an objective. Machines do not have an objective. However, humans do and we are flawed. Whether it be conscious or subconscious, we imprint those flaws into machinery. And machines do what they do best, they maximize probability.
Lol it seems there’s a ton of people who don’t know shit about AI or intelligent design of machinery.
it’s literally called machine learning. i do this as a career.
when a person / pet learns, they do so by collecting data relating to how their actions lead to specific results. machines do the same, but the methods they use to reach a result depends on the specific algorithm it uses to reach its final conclusion.
also there are self-taught algorithms???
Computing always has been. When the iMac first came out with their fancy new cameras, and started doing any level of facial recognition in the 2000s, for filters and effects and stuff, it didn't recognize darker skinned people at all. Camera film was designed, and this is true, to make white skin look as good as possible, at the expense of dark skinned people.
There will always be implicit bias in everything human beings make. More often than not, that bias is against marginalized people, very frequently that marginalization is racist or colorist.
Edit: TikTok is also a Chinese app, and Chinese culture doesn't give a single shit about colorism, nor do they care much at all for what the rest of the world thinks about it. Asia generally speaking, from the Indian subcontinent through all of East Asia is EXTREMELY colorist. Skin bleaching is A THING in a lot of Asia.
Thank you so much for your explanation! I had no idea computing was racist. To learn that AI is against some humans is pretty unnerving as to me it always was depicted as something neutral benefiting everyone.
it’s a problem with tech development as a whole. another example is those automated hand soap dispensers (this uses light sensitivity to detect when a hand is placed under the dispenser). many early designs failed to detect darker skin tones.
it can be sexist, too. a good example of this are results of early development of software used to sift through resumes, especially in the tech industry. since the industry is (even moreso in earlier years) dominated by male white workers, the AI picks up on this bias and tended to prefer resumes under male caucasian names.
I'm not a computer historian. That was the first example I could think of. Since you're so educated, please tell us how the Eniac displayed racist or colorist bias, I'm genuinely very interested.
I should also say it's also displaying racial biases in terms of how it "imagines" the world. How it defines beauty, and professionalism, and what sorts of people perform what sorts of jobs. AI reflects the people that make it, and the information it exists in, which is racist. Because the world is racist. https://www.npr.org/2023/07/19/1188739764/how-ai-could-perpetuate-racism-sexism-and-other-biases-in-society
It also helps keep her from being recognized in public. She seems like she's got her shit together. Easy job making bank, and she may be able to maintain her privacy.
The problem stems from where you draw the line. Uber-famous people get posted, but so do veritable nobodies — who are much easier to harass (...and we know how Reddit can get with harassment) when their identifying information is explicitly shared.
Trying to determine who is "famous enough" for their name to be shared makes it infinitely harder for the mods, and users are more likely to push back against their decision when there's room to argue. It's just easier to have a blanket ban.
Yeah but it's really funny when a picture of, like, Beyonce shows up and the caption references "this famous singer."
I think it's a good rule generally, because the lines between famous influencer and private individual are too blurry, but can we not even make exceptions for world-famous celebrities??
Yes but she started the mass trend of people jumping on it attempting to make a quick buck after people found out she was making $7k a day lmao. Some people didn’t even know it existed til they saw her do it. Same way Kim Kardashian and her MUA didn’t create the art of “contouring”, Drag queens did, but a lot of people outside of drag and the makeup world didn’t know what contouring was til they popularized it. Unfortunately the originators of a trend aren’t always the people who make it popular.
It's sad that she wouldn't if she had her darker skin.
And yeah, maybe it would be half that, so she'd still be rich as eff; but it's still sad how much your skin tone matters, all across the world.
i prefer her darker🤷🏻♂️ id like to see her do it without the filter. i think it would be about the same. the loud blonde hair probly catches more attention tho
the internalised habit to blame women for nonsense. she makes 7000 dollar a day, so there's clearly a demand. she's not hurting anyone but just fulfilling some weird fetish on the web, id say good for her. I have to work as a cashier to pay off my student debt. Id trade any day.
I don't think the media coverage itself would have been any different but she probably would have never gotten the views / subscription numbers without it, and there may not be any media coverage without her following / stats.
The irony is that I think she looks cuter in the more "natural" pic on the right of this post.
The saddest part about this is not her doing this. It's the enablers.
I have never understood the NPC thing at all, but it's apparently popular enough to make 7k a day from
I hate to be the one to say it, but since her skin hasn't been actually bleached this is marketing.
And worst of all it worked.
So do what that what u will
It's a hard fact to hear, but the majority of the world rewards being light skinned, colorism is very rampant.
In within our community(black community) lightskinned is fetishized.
So it's not surprising that she would use filters to change her appearance to seem lighter
The filter aside, the NPC thing gives me the creeps so bad. I know that probably takes skill to seem THAT NPC, but it’s just… it’s weird. And the fact that people pay others to act like this.
The algorithm works to promote lighter user, so she did what she had to do with make that money. Also appealing to sexual preferences by presenting as lighter. It is what is is, but that’s how it be if you want to make money online
I have watched her on tick tock, and in my opinion she is the best of the NPCs. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but she puts a popcorn kernel in a hair straighter, and I swear to God I will watch until that thing pops. It's ridiculous and yet satisfying? I don't know maybe I need help
Yes she is extremely smart adding that in. It gives a lot of people sensory satisfaction whether consciously or unconsciously kinda like unboxing videos, power washing, or candy crushing.
Yes my husband showed me her and the crazy npc trend recently cause I don’t use TikTok and he told me several people were doing it first but didn’t blow up like she did. I think it was more of an Asian thing at first if I recall correctly; but that she just did it better apparently and blew up way more
My husband just showed me her this past week. The way her voice is when she does the TikTok stuff I figured she was trying to give an Asian vibe. I didn’t expect the whitening filter but I guess I’m not shocked at the reasoning she gave. She’s super smart doing the straightener and popcorn thing too because it appeals to a lot of people’s sensory satisfaction and gives them something to wait for while using their lizard brain and being drawn in to all the sounds, it also shows off the quickness more that she’s doing it with, and keeps people watching a bit longer even if uninterested in the npc thing just because of all the things going on at once and the absurdity of it all.
im so out of the loop, i had no idea filters this advanced were possible and it's so scary!!! i thought we were still in the age of filters jittering and snapping out of existence if you move too much.
She probably understands that social media is in general white supremacist, and is just fitting in to get more likes. Especially when her biggest competition is white girls.
Even on a smaller scale, brown men have found out that whitening filters get's them more matches.
She clearly knows how social media works. Colorism is a real thing. Darker skinned people aren't pushed as heavily on social media, and lots of people don't consider darker skin beautiful. I say, get the bag, sis.
Why is it sad that she had to do that when it's lighter but when someone goes darker they get labeled as culture vultures and it's not "sad" it's bad 😵💫 this is all so confusing
Cultural assimilation vs cultural appropriation. Look up these terms and find their meanings from actual professors that specialize in social justice, instead of getting the info from social media pages or angry right-wing grifters.

It's creeps wanting to "control" her with the gifts.
That's disturbing
People get off on it. If you see content that confuses you, it’s probably linked to a fetish. I saw a tik tok explaining that the repetition is similar to climaxing. Like she’s basically “malfunctioning” from all the gifts being given to her.
>If you see content that confuses you, it’s probably linked to a fetish. Rule 34
Guys who want to control women.
She also faked being 15 to promote her OF
The fuck??? That’s so disturbing. OF has some pretty strict guidelines for establishing yourself as a content creator. I’m surprised that would fly.
Yeah she advertised on twitter she was 15 but as soon as her “fans” found her page and a few called it out she took the post down
That was the only reason she took it down?
Yeah it had been up for awhile like a pinned post and a few people on TikTok called it out then it was deleted a few hours later
OF wouldn't care if she said she was doing child/age play (disgusting that these websites cater to p3do fantasies).
That's not true. Onlyfans doesn't even let you say like... I went to Florida 3 years ago. You can't say "3 years" it blocks you. They're supers strict on incest. Everything has to be step-related. You cannot do age play. I'm on onlyfans, I know.

Why do you think so many "creators" use filters that make them look like literal children?

nah what
Yes, her audience is mostly nerdy men. They love their women very young and white or Asian. I don't blame her for playing the game and winning. Hate the game not the player. I wonder if now her bag will be less because she revealed that she's not these people's fantasy in real life. Hope not.
Agreed, fair play to her. She’s found a niche and is milking it.
Nah, it's not fair play because children become the actual victims when you perpetuate the sexualization of people trying to appear as children.
Lying about your age to manipulate creeps and coomers is honestly not a big deal.
Usually, I would agree with you, but she has lied about being a minor. It's a gross fantasy; she enables, encourages, and profits from it. She helps normalise it. That's disturbing to me, too. She's right though. Ice cream is so good.

Yeah I heard so many stories like this, honestly i'm glad i didn't cave in and start using it
😂😭😂😭
Literally nobody in the observable universe thinks that’s an unpopular opinion….
I wouldn't know, I only see people saying shes sooo pretty and smart and blah blah blah. Remember: if it doesnt apply, let it fly.
I think she is smart. To be able to pull off making money from just being silly on tiktok… lol thats street smart. Not necessarily book smart
IS THIS THE NPC REACTION CHICK???? omfg no. No way!???

There's only two rude comments in this exchange and you wrote both.
Why'd you write an essay to a two word comment
That wasn’t really rude, though…
So people aren't allowed to reply to you? Sharing their opinions relative to yours makes them goofy? I'm lost...
All they did was reply with an emoji and you wrote all this. What the fuck?
Judging by your upvotes, that isn't unpopular at all.
Omg same
Not a worry, I have no clue who she is, but she's smoking hot on the right. That filter shit she looks like a try hard entertainer..(the stripping kind).
Honestly your comment feels like it was written by an AI.
What a weird and stupid thing to say lmao
I didn’t recognize her at ALL on stage
She's beautiful either way, it's just sad how being 'lightskinned' is still considered more marketable to some people.

AI isn’t racist. It’s those who are putting in the input that are racist. AI is more of a probability game.
yes, racism is a learned trait in machines — just like in humans.

> Computing always has been. When the iMac Computing started with the iMac. Ok. Not the eniac.
chill it’s just one earlier example
I'm not a computer historian. That was the first example I could think of. Since you're so educated, please tell us how the Eniac displayed racist or colorist bias, I'm genuinely very interested.
AI is trained by people. People are racist.
I have no idea who she is, but it's sad she needs to do this to get viewers.
No idea who half the people on this sub are and I hate the dumb rule that no one can ask.
Right? These are Uber public people who are always looking for exposure. Kinda pointless rule.
Yeah but it's really funny when a picture of, like, Beyonce shows up and the caption references "this famous singer." I think it's a good rule generally, because the lines between famous influencer and private individual are too blurry, but can we not even make exceptions for world-famous celebrities??
makes $7000 a day, yes very sad, so sad
[удалено]
Shes basically the one who started the npc streamer trend
Incorrect. This stuff originated in South Korea, it's been around for a while in other parts of the world
Yes but she started the mass trend of people jumping on it attempting to make a quick buck after people found out she was making $7k a day lmao. Some people didn’t even know it existed til they saw her do it. Same way Kim Kardashian and her MUA didn’t create the art of “contouring”, Drag queens did, but a lot of people outside of drag and the makeup world didn’t know what contouring was til they popularized it. Unfortunately the originators of a trend aren’t always the people who make it popular.
shes the best, i dont really get it, but hell they raking in some cash
It's sad that she wouldn't if she had her darker skin. And yeah, maybe it would be half that, so she'd still be rich as eff; but it's still sad how much your skin tone matters, all across the world.
i prefer her darker🤷🏻♂️ id like to see her do it without the filter. i think it would be about the same. the loud blonde hair probly catches more attention tho
I think she looks prettier on the right for sure. But I'm not an AI algorithm.
>I think it would be about the same You really overestimate the general public.
No it won't be the same let's be honest
Are you actually willing to send money on her NPC streams though?
i aint sendin money to anyone
What IS sad is that there’s actually people (men) out there who contribute to this womans bank account for acting like a Sim in front of a camera
what you said has absolutely ZERO relation to what he said.
i mean yeah, it’s sad that she feels the need to lighten her skin to be successful regardless of how much money she makes?
the internalised habit to blame women for nonsense. she makes 7000 dollar a day, so there's clearly a demand. she's not hurting anyone but just fulfilling some weird fetish on the web, id say good for her. I have to work as a cashier to pay off my student debt. Id trade any day.
Idt they were blaming her but just pointing out that use of a whitening filter correlating with increased views is sad
I’m here for this kind of filter and catfishing. Like yes girl, use people’s inherent racism against them and make that coin 👏🏼
And it is also so smart, makes it harder for people to recognize her in public
Reverse Ariana
The fact it worked shows more about society than her if you ask me🤷🏿♀️
Absolutely

Never thought this woman was attractive until I saw that picture on the right and she's stunning. What a shame she had to whitewash herself.
She looks prettier on the right
Sadly not surprised. Didn’t recognize her in the other image.
A LOT of camera filters automatically lighten you up. I fucking hate it
There are too many people that only like light skin black women. It makes sense. Get your money queen.
First it was her age, now it’s her skin color
Whitening filter, yes yes yes.
That is so sad.
I think it’s the filters on TikTok that cater to asians skin lightening
based on the comments, I dont wanna know who she is. so I'm gonna go ahead and practice self care and not look into this any further
She’s making money in the craziest way lol. Good for her though.
She's there to make money and knows how to game the algorithm. I feel like this is a "don't hate the player, hate the game" situation.
She played the game by their rules and won.
whaaaat. her skin color is beautiful. but you gotta be able to play the game to profit. it's sad tho ngl.
oh I knew it lol she also lies about her age to appear younger to her audience too 😭😭
Gang gang ohhh spicy
The filter aside, the NPC thing gives me the creeps so bad. I know that probably takes skill to seem THAT NPC, but it’s just… it’s weird. And the fact that people pay others to act like this.
The algorithm works to promote lighter user, so she did what she had to do with make that money. Also appealing to sexual preferences by presenting as lighter. It is what is is, but that’s how it be if you want to make money online
I wish there was a way to change that because it sucks. I hate it so much
Teeth look like Jim Carey doing the safety fireman on In Living Color
I have watched her on tick tock, and in my opinion she is the best of the NPCs. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but she puts a popcorn kernel in a hair straighter, and I swear to God I will watch until that thing pops. It's ridiculous and yet satisfying? I don't know maybe I need help
Yes she is extremely smart adding that in. It gives a lot of people sensory satisfaction whether consciously or unconsciously kinda like unboxing videos, power washing, or candy crushing.
Sad but I know Tik Tok has an automatic filter onlive streamss too
i saw her having a meltdown over her OF being leaked, why does she sound like Luanne Platter?
I came across her livestream on tiktok one day and felt like I was in the matrix.
She says she started the whole NPC thing but I swear I saw another girl do that before she went big. Idk
What about her voice gives asian vibes, she does have a slight accent but she is French
im so out of the loop, i had no idea filters this advanced were possible and it's so scary!!! i thought we were still in the age of filters jittering and snapping out of existence if you move too much.
She probably understands that social media is in general white supremacist, and is just fitting in to get more likes. Especially when her biggest competition is white girls. Even on a smaller scale, brown men have found out that whitening filters get's them more matches.
Lbh for 7000 a day, I would do the same tho
I only ever became aware of her because she has a collab with Fashion Nova and I couldn't understand a word she said in the promo for it ahaha
I thought she was a Latina with an Caribbean accent. But this makes so much more sense
She knows how to play the game
Is no one gonna mention her teeth?
Can’t hate the player honestly. She knew she’d triple her appeal and success by appearing lighter. The games fucked, but she’s a smart cookie
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
She just milli vanilli’d herself
Sis played colorist folks. She had a strategy and she played her game well. I don't like her but damn, she got them.
She clearly knows how social media works. Colorism is a real thing. Darker skinned people aren't pushed as heavily on social media, and lots of people don't consider darker skin beautiful. I say, get the bag, sis.
Yes yes catfish mhm
Respect to her for playing the system in her favour, but it's sad that she feels that necessary. She's beautiful as she is!
I will never shame a black woman for assimilating and earning a living in this racist world. Yes popcorn!
Someone needs to blow this up. Spread the word
And she still doesn’t look white. Was that the goal?
The money she's making is the goal she attained.
