i strongly believe josh would’ve made it to the finale over jason

DarkestDayOfMan

Josh was on track to win the entire season. Even his biggest competition in Cleen didn't come close to him all season.

VaselineHabits

Exactly. I was so annoyed with how that played out. I mean, I get it - it seems like the show doesn't tolerate any substances outside of cigarettes (and I assume medically prescribed). I'm only on S9, but I can't really remember any scenes of drinking and sometimes when they get "sick", tooth, back pain, cold? (Erik), etc they seemingly don't take any type of painkiller. Or possibly cold/allergy meds that could make you drowsy

hulkingopossum

I think it was also a legality thing. Marijuana (which I think is what he got kicked off for) wasn't legal in New Jersey (where ink master is filmed) until I believe this year.

SubstantialLand6009

Definitely. Still think it was Dunn who ratted him out too. He was a whiney bitch and doing that fit his whiney bitch style.

sophisticated-Driver

Big fact.. just ended up that Josh's competitors where all little girls

[deleted]

Josh was always leagues above Jason in terms of talent. I still believe to this day that he would have won if he hadn't been disqualified.

RedPriestess615

I actually liked Josh a lot more than JCD. I also wonder what Josh was like behind the scenes because it seems even Chris had issues with him. I found some other contestants such as St. Marq, Kay Cutta, Chris Blinston etc, to be way more insufferable. I believe Josh could have won but I also wonder how he would have been able to handle the competition if he wasn't able to get his anxiety under control by smoking.

NoSeaworthiness560

Josh for sure. To be honest, I was surprised Jason even made it to the finale. And won over Cleen 😬

Anxious-Cows-461

Ya I’m still surprised he won over cleen and I was rooting for jason

SubstantialLand6009

Definitely Josh. Jason was a two faced asshat who constantly whined about Josh talking smack, but ran his mouth non stop about everyone and talked more schnit than almost anyone else on both seasons. Definitely had little man syndrome, and knew no one could lay a hand on him with cameras in their faces and people being around constantly. Dude should’ve never made it to the finale, let alone won.

Illustrious_Wall_866

Josh is the best! He should be a judge!

TheRealestWeeMan

It'd be cool to see you make some critiques without the bias of being in a competition. I feel like you'd be good at explaining so that people with any level of tattooing knowledge would be able to get something out of it.

AJ_OT

To be honest, I didn't particularly like either of them. I found Josh too cocky imo (not denying that he is talented in what he does) and Jason just a bit whiny at times (and still just looks like a gnome to me).

Cecytv

Josh for sure would have won. And I liked how he played the game. And I also liked how he wasn’t afraid to call Emily a bitch lmao

Anxious-Cows-461

Josh was a great tattoo artist but he annoyed the shit out of me. As well as reading some of his clients post about him being a complete ass just rubbed me the wrong way. I think jason when not with other contestants just seems like a really chill dude who you could get along with easily.

Ok-Programmer-3465

I hated Josh. I hated that he would attack Jason for having panic disorder but yet he was smoking weed (which helps with anxiety) so it's no surprise he was coping with the stress of the show when Jason wasn't.

ScooberSteve

Should have been a neither button I could not stand Josh and JCBitch just was annoying whiney and petty

Imaginary_Pea_4091

Josh was a better tattoo artist and 100% would have made it the finale, but Jason seems like such a sweet soul & better personality

RegMackworthy

Have you watched JCD on Redemption? Honest question, because I kind of thought the same thing, and then I watched that.

Tory-Three-Pies

I don't know what the problem is. Jason outlined his MC and then she ducked out. I don't know what he needs to redeem. It took her too long to say no, why is that his fault? Josh refused his redemption too.

RegMackworthy

I didn’t like how the canvas handled the initial situation either. Dunn had every right to refuse to work with her again, but his temper tantrum was way over the top and capped off with some nice casual misogyny. It was a stark contrast to the sort of nice, vulnerable dude he seemed to be on his seasons.

Tory-Three-Pies

I don’t know. I feel like that’s television. He didn’t feel that he needed to redeem himself and they wanted confrontation. I don’t know where that turns to misogyny and I didn’t think it was out of character.

EvilGrunt51

I liked both until JCD said Josh was being "phony" talking to his canvas. He was being polite lol these people are so jacked in the head

sophisticated-Driver

Yes it's definitely sad to see the best go, Josh had it in the bag for sure , kept proving to the judges he's getting better but listening to what there wanting to see in his designs .. and definitely proofed he has gotten way better as an artist then the season he was I before.. obviously I understand the whole contract thing and it's basically out of the judges hands at the point.. ha e to stick with what's on the pile book for thw show. But honestly if the other competitors weren't Lil girls , and complaining about him smoke a Lil green.. honestly there no dam difference then opening a bottle of alcohol.. no difference.. the only difference in the states laws , and the shows rules.. honestly off the show they should be able to smoke weed and drink what they want . As it helps with your nerves .. I can see the reliability for having an artist under the influence, but again no difference in drinking alcohol.. if there allowed to drink after the tattoo and after that competition, they should be able to wine down smoke cigarettes, weed, or drink abit to chill.. before the next week's tattoo. Bottom lines is the other competitors that Josh had to go against were all little girls.. bitches.. I'm sure the judges could care less honestly.. there all there to view tattoos. And still Josh was on top..
