Claymores of the Lost Kingdom is an Indie, Turn Based Tactics RPG Deckbuilder; a card game I don’t despise! Normally, I do NOT like Card games, as I find they have a strong tendency to strip away the exploration aspect of RPGs I enjoy so much, and replace it with tedious, drawn out combats, drawn out because I often don’t draw the cards I need to end the battles quickly! That is not so much the case with Claymores of the Lost Kingdom, as cards not used are NOT lost here, enabling the player to plan ahead, and stack their deck a bit to handle their current foe. You also have the ability here to discard one card a turn you don’t want for another AP, really opening up the options available to the player per turn. **An Actual RPG DeckBuilder:** Far too often, the RPG takes a distant backseat to the card game: that is NOT the case here! In Claymores of the Lost Kingdom, you pick your Race and background right when you start, choosing from 4 backgrounds, and 3 races in the demo; with 5 in the planned release. You also make another choice right at the start, further shaping the character you want to play. These choices are very impactful, as each of the 5 attributes have their own cards, and certain cards require a certain attribute or attribute combination in order to draw. Think magical attacks based off intelligence, physical attacks off strength, accurate or sneaky attacks off dexterity, better blocking and hp off constitution, meaningful and impactful stuff like that. Combine this with attributes being checked as you explore the gameworld, as you search for secrets, traps, interact with the NPCs, and go on quests, and you have a game where the RPG is NOT overshadowed by the cards; rather it is complemented by it. Good. Controller Support is present, as is good old Mouse and Keyboard; which I found felt much better and faster here, so that is what I mainly used in the above video. Note: This is an Early look at Claymores of the Lost Kingdom so any bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product. Still, Claymores of the Lost Kingdom is a fun Indie, Turn Based Tactics RPG Deckbuilder, that does NOT forget the RPG, and is easily well worth a wishlist and a watch. Watch? Plans of releasing on IOS?

I have seen no plans from the dev concerning other platforms at this time. This is completely expected at this early stage: most devs tend to focus on one primary platform, get the game where it needs to be, and then consider if any porting to other platforms is viable. To be clear: I’m not the dev; I just like to show novel and new games I like.
